Design a Card Tournament: Attention all young artists, CPL wants your help to build a new design for its youngster's library cards. If your layout wins the Design a Credit card contest, it will be on the new library card for kids. The competition is open to children older 12 years old and more youthful. In addition to the honour of building the new library card for the kids, the first place winner will receive $100 (next place will get $50 and 3rd place, $25). See the entry form on the library website pertaining to full details. The theme for Oct. 30 is "Nocturnal Dogs." No registration becomes necessary for these free programs, simply just drop in.

Tech Caf: Helpful and knowledgeable teen volunteers are back at your library to provide absolutely free one on one help with your standard computer questions. Drop in for the ParkLane Room on Fridays through Dec. for help with a variety of technology basics such as email, smartphones on the market, texting, eReaders, Microsoft Office and much more. to join librarians for a relaxing 30 minute of stories, songs and more in the Storytelling Circle. The next Twilight Tales is on April. 29.
How do you connect to your current library?: You have until the end with October to celebrate Canadian Library Month at PMPL by simply telling librarians how you connect to a person's library. Fill out a short kind and enter a draw to win book cash payouts and you can enter more than once. This kind of draw is open to adults and children of all ages. Winners will be reported Nov. 1.
