The newly formed A Partnership for National Unity and Alliance For Change coalition yesterday held a workshop at the Ocean View Convention Centre to fine tune its campaign strategies and plans.Delivering the opening address, the coalition’s Prime Ministerial Candidate Moses Nagamootoo told the large gathering of party officials that he is confident that the newly formed alliance will win the May 11 General Elections and “secure Guyana from the precipice of disaster”.He appealed to the representatives and officials from the ten Administrative Regions to “embody the new oneness of APNU and AFC” as they campaign across the country.Nagamootoo, who is also the AFC Vice Chairman, said that the PPP has already begun to show signs of wanting to engage in a dirty campaign and he implored the delegates to “remain calm in the face of attack” but warned that coalition “cannot remain inactive in the face of distortion.”The veteran politician said that the feedback he has gotten from being in the villages and the rural areas is that the APNU/AFC coalition has the PPP “bazadee” and that “they are in a state of shock and panic, which is causing them to make mistakes every day.”The strategy and planning workshop was geared towards putting the finishing touches on the regional campaign strategies for each of the ten Administrative Regions while linking it to the national campaign plan.Nagamootoo reiterated that APNU/AFC campaign must not seek to match the PPP in dirty politics.“We are not here for vengeance, we are not here to discriminate anyone, we are not here to practice nepotism,Wholesale Jerseys, patronage or cronyism. We have to hold out the olive branch. We are the peacemakers, we are filled with magnanimity and in our home that is Guyana, there is room for all. All are aboard this express train that will lead Guyana forward under an APNU/AFC government,” Nagamootoo charged to resounding applause from the delegates.Campaign Committee Co-Chairman Joe Harmon and Co-Chairpersons of the Campaign Communications Committee Cathy Hughes and Mark Archer also addressed the delegates while Amna Ally moderated the proceedings. Also in attendance were Campaign Committee Co-Chairman Raphael Trotman,Wholesale Authentic NFL Jerseys, APNU parliamentarians Carl Greenidge,Jerseys NFL Wholesale, Volda Lawrence and Christopher Jones.AFC parliamentarians Valerie Lowe, Eula Marcello, Trevor Williams, cheap jerseys, Verasammy Ramaya, Khemraj Ramjattan and AFC Chairman Nigel Hughes were all in attendance.Harmon announced that the APNU/AFC Campaign Committee members are as follows:Amna Ally, Mark Archer,NBA Jerseys China, Ronald Bulkan,Cheap Jerseys USA, Winston Felix,Wholesale NFL Jerseys, Roysdale Forde,Jerseys NFL Cheap, Dominic Gaskin, Clayton Hall, Cathy Hughes,China Jerseys Cheap, David Patterson and Basil Williams. The newly formed coalition will host a media launch next Wednesday at the Pegasus Hotel.
