    Default KCP x64 Version (testing)

THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR KCP x64 TESTING AND REPORTING BUGS

IF YOU NEED HELP WITH OTHER ISSUES USE THE MAIN THREAD FOR SUPPORT

#download is in the post below#

    Initial 0.0.0.1 version (ignore)

    PRELIMINARY CHANGELOG
This is just a preview of x64 KCP. While the whole x64 version is usable, some things are broken or being improved on.
Please only use this if you are willing to test and post feedback.

(These are just notes for myself so I remember what to do come next weekend)

    #Innosetup Installer#

    switched to x64 mode

Removed reclock, since its not supported

Innosetup itself runs only in 32bit mode (there is no x64), cannot use x64 KCPSettings.dll to call madVR/LAV api from innosetup (filters are COM objects, cannot call 64bit COM objects in 32 bit environment without some sort of proxy/stub or dllsurrogate). Also can no longer do a quick check for madVR compatibility by users video card because of this.

KCPSettingsInstall.exe will extract after install to apply certian settings and then innosetup will delete it (work around to above)

LAV set hardware accel. check box is not working, see LAV bug

TODO: code cleanup, re-add mvr and other compatibility checks, ability to install xysubfilter OR xyvsfilter, fix LAV Bug

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #KCP Settings DLL#
    x64 now
Disregard the following, no pre-req needed anymore
uses vc++ 2013 Redistrubutable !YOU MUST HAVE THIS PREINSTALLED! (you probably already do)
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...190a24fa6=True

    TODO: code cleanup, LAV Bug

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #KCP Settings Post-Setup Installer#

    New addition.
Quick fix for Innosetup issue above with KCPSettings DLL/x64COM, deletes once installed completed
    x64 now
Disregard the following, no pre-req needed anymore
uses vc++ 2013 Redistrubutable !YOU MUST HAVE THIS PREINSTALLED! (you probably already do)
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...190a24fa6=True

    TODO: code cleanup, LAV Bug

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #KCP Settings App#
x64 now, everything else should work just the same
NOW USES .NET FRAMEWORK 4.5.1 !!! Windows 8+ users have nothing to worry about.
Windows 7 users must install .net framework 4.5.1 to use the settings app
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=40779
LAV set hardware accel. check box is not working, see lav bug

TODO: reclock stuff is greyed out, will be removed at a later time + code cleanup, LAV Bug

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #LAV#
Bug on LAV ILAVVideoSettings x64 when LAV->CheckHWAccelSupport(HWAccel_QuickSync)

"Return on error: error code 0, QuickSyncExports.cpp 93
    : No error"

    Will debug later.
hwaccel checkboxes are broken on everything. (But seriously nobody should be using this now)

    Version 0.0.0.2 July 15th, 2015

Nevermind the following (made a mistake) - #Fixed to allow you to install with the normal x86 KCP versions

-fixed default program files path (C:\Program Files\KCPx64)
-fixed registry path for KCP (HKCU\Software\KCPx64)
-fixed start menu group path (KCPx64)

    #madvr updated to 0.88.18
    #mpc-hc updated to 1.7.9

#new kcp settings app (requires .net 4.5.1, the default on win8.1+)
#new kcp settings dll (no more prereqs)

Nevermind not a bug. *Bug with LAV hw settings checkbox still exists.
*MPC multi language and Crash reporter will be optional install components next version
*Will put shortcuts to madTPG and levels tweaker into start menu next version

So should I uninstall x86 KCP first before install x64 KCP right?

anything specific you want help testing?

no obvious errors so far on my laptop (i7-2630qm and 460m), will test later on my desktop which is currently running black (i5-3570k and gtx 970)

I know when madshi first put out madVR 64-bit it wouldn't install certain files correctly unless install was ran as "Run as Administrator" (even if the installing person was running with an administrator profile). Any chance that may be tied to one or more of the issues, and that KCP x64 install would need to be "Run as Administrator" ?

Using the name mpc-hc64.exe seems to prevent Optimus systems from running using the Nvidia GPU. Optimus system users who want to use the Nvidia GPU to run mpc-hc64 should rename the executable.

When i try to open files with a HEVC Codec on the mpc-hc 64bit and kcp 64 bit, i can only hear audio, can't see the video.
Worked fine with the normal 32bit versions of MPC and KCP.
    Not sure what causes this.

    edit: nvm. restart fixed it.

he fixed that in this latest version
    Code:
    madVR v0.87.21

    * fixed: (un)install.bat now works without having to manually "run as admin"
    * fixed: active display wasn't properly set in the settings (x64)
    * added workaround for window subclassing crash (x64)

we have nothing to worry about since we dont use the bat, innosetup registers the filter a-ok and has the proper rights
