I need x86 now (and I use Reclock) so I may help testing this when you do that.

So what are the actual benefits of 64 bits in this case?

MPC-BE also have x64 version. So will we test KCP Black x64 too? I personally like it over HC.

All seems to work, but there is one annoying bug for MPC-HC 64bit in Win 8.1 64bit. Funny is that on an other Win 7 64bit machine it does not happen. For Win 10 don't have it installed right now..
Even after File Association (in KCP or MPC-HC) it seems to remember them but in reality in win it dos not associate them, and moreover there is no MPC-HC in win "default programs" to set, so must do it for every single file type manually, just annoying...

I do the association via the installer for mkv:
    associate mkv with mplayer64.mkv
add a right click open with in the context menu
make it so that double clicking opens the app associated iwth mplayer64.exe (mpc-hc64.exe)

Yea there is something up with this, I associated mp4 and it didnt work, no reg keys made.
I tried again and it worked with the right reg keys:

Well, after a few days of use I can't see any problems arising (except the above mentioned file association annoyance), and it works perfectly fine and with less system resources for some codecs. All good!
Even less system resources and more fluent if I use DX11 in madVr?

Won't automatically switch to fullscreen mode after opening file. It is ticked in Options.

I have this and BE installed and both are working normally. If x64 is called thru my media browser (EMBY) 64 does go to fullscreen.

its broken because you installed both...

the kcp settings file is not compatible for both versions

wait until the next test release this week where i will move the paths of everything

i suggest you cleaning uninstall everything and stick to a version you want

I installed 64 in another folder I called KCP64 and it, of course gets installed in the 64 bit "Program Files" directory. I saved the filters REG files with distinct names after adjusting options. Will the registry settings get crossed up doing it this way? They are not broken and I can use either one. I am a fan of BE but also like to fiddle....

    Thanks!
