The official website for the anime adaptation of Yuuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki’s Shokugeki no Souma (Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma) manga has revealed some bonus illustrations that purchasers will receive for ordering the blu-ray volumes of Shokugeki no Souma.
A total of 7 outlets will be offering special illustrations, which may come as an acrylic board, box cover or special sleeve. In order to receive the bonus illustrations, you will have to order all 8 volumes of the Blu-ray from the respective outlets. They include:

- Gamers, A3 poster
- Toranoana, storage box illustration
- Sofmap, storage box illustration
- Tsutaya, sleeve case
- HMV, storage box illustration
- Animaru, hug pillow cover
Amazon Japan will also be offering clear bookmarks with each volume purchase.
A B5 portrait will also be offered with the first purchase of volume 1.
The first volume, releasing on July 29 will contain episodes 1 – 3, a mousepad (Blu-ray version only), a booklet, Textless OP/ED, and audio commentary for episode 1.
The Blu-ray version will cost ¥8,000 ($64.70 USD) and the DVD will cost ¥6,800 ($55.00 USD) without tax.
The second volume, releasing on August 26 will contain episodes 4 – 6, a mousepad (Blu-ray version only), a booklet, Textless OP/ED, a drama CD, and audio commentary for one episode.
The Blu-ray version will cost ¥8,000 ($64.70 USD) and the DVD will cost ¥6,800 ($55.00 USD) without tax.

Shokugeki no Souma (Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma) is a comedy, ecchi cooking manga written by Yuuto Tsukuda, illustrated by Shun Saeki with Chef Yuki Mirosaki adding recipes to the manga. The series began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in late 2012 and to date has a total of 9 compiled volumes released, with the 10th volume releasing in Japan on November 4th. A light novel adaptation of the manga began in February this year in Shueisha’s Jump j-Books, written by Michiko Itou and illustrated by Saeki himself. The manga itself has sold over 2 million copies to date.
