Tsukiuta, a music and original drama CD series about the twelve months of the year anthropomorphized as male idols and female goddesses, has been green-lit for an anime adaptation. This announcement was made during the Tsukiuta stage event at Animate Girls Festival 2014 on November 9th, 2014.
The story of Tsukiuta is split into two related plotlines. In the first plotline, the story focuses on the Tokyo male idol unit Six Gravity. Six Gravity includes male idols that represent the months December through May. Their rival male idol unit, Procellarum, is composed of idols representing the months June to November. The other storyline focuses on a separate world. The main characters this time are six female characters represent the months December to May. This other world is filled with goddesses who manage and guide the spiritual energy of Earth, converting it into life energy. The girls are attending a school that gathers talented individuals and trains them to be what people on Earth call “Goddesses.”

Tsukiuta has inspired music CDs, drama CDs, a DVD of a fan festival with the cast, and an artbook. The stage event the weekend not only announced the upcoming anime but also a Spring Fan Festival! Mini event in Tokyo, as well as a “3rd Season” CD series which will include anime short music videos.
