The official website of game developer, Tohoku Penet’s, original video animation adaptation for boys-love adventure, comedy game Gakuen Handsome revealed the anime’s cast. The anime, Gakuen Handsome The Animation will be released on August 28, 2015 and it could be reserved on Animate for ¥2,980. Pre-ordered DVDs will include an all CV Takuya version.

Gakuen Handsome‘s OVA will have a double-feature in which it will be voiced by a new voice cast or the recurring game cast.

Gakuen Handsome is a BL adventure visual novel game that was popular in the market for PC in 2010. In December 2013, Tohoku Penet ported the game for smartphone-play to iOS and Android.

An anime adaptation was announced around April Fools and fans thought that the adaptation was just a joke. Especially since the voice actors’ names are listed in a “weird way” (for example, Mitsurugi Sakuya was voiced by BB King ∞ gold × gold ∞).

The school love story is set at Baramon High School, a private boys’ school for the prefecture’s most elite. The protagonist is a seventeen year old boy who transfers into the school and meets various major players on campus, such as the outlaw teacher, the soccer captain, and a childhood friend whom the protagonist has not seen for seven years. The school presents opportunities for friendship, love and conflict, and changes are now bound to happen in the main character’s life.
