Last year the Ibaraki prefecture debuted its cute mascots for the area’s Japan Self-Defense Forces’ Provincial Cooperation Office and the trend of cute mascots used for advertising is catching on in other areas. Tokushima prefecture’s office is looking to name its three mascots representing the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, Maritime Self-Defense Force, and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
Name suggestions applications are currently open and will be taken until July 26. The girls were designed by Hokkaido-based artist Kurehito Misaki, the original character designer behind Saekano and Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete.
