Studio Gonzo Will Animate Kenjirou Hata’s Sore Ga Seiyuu! Doujin Manga

On December 30, 2014, voice actress Masumi Asano (Oda Nobuna no Yabou‘s Hisahide Matsunaga, Ikkitousen‘s Hofuku Sonsaku) announced on her blog and her official Twitter account that her and Kenjirou Hata’s (Hayate no Gotoku!) 4-koma doujinshi manga, Sore ga Seiyuu!, will have an anime adaptation. Today, the anime’s teaser website opened with details for the upcoming anime. Sore ga Seiyuu! will be under Studio Gonzo’s production (NHK ni Youkoso!Hellsing) and will air in Summer 2015. Evil Line Records (Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Crystal) will be in-charge for the anime’s music.

The website revealed the main characters for the series named as Rin Kohana, Futaba Ichinose and Ichigo Moesaki.

The meta tags of the site’s source had listed their voice actresses as keywords. However, it was removed afterwards.

  • Marika Kouno (Nami Jougasaki from Rail Wars!) as Rin Kohana
  • Rie Takahashi (Another‘s Keiko Numata) as Futaba Ichinose
  • Yuki Nagaku (Debut role) as Ichigo Moesaki

Marika Kouno quoted a tweet with a note that it will be her first regular role in an anime series. She removed the post momentarily.

Kenjiro tweeted the character designer in-charge for the upcoming anime which will be Masakatsu Sasaki (A-ChannelSaki):

The first volume of the doujin was distributed in Winter 2011’s Comiket 81. Since then, the duo continued distributing new issues at Comiket events. The doujin has many different kinds of volume cover but it only has two compiled volumes. Also, the size of Sore ga Seiyuu!‘s volumes are much larger than the size of a regular volume of Hayate no Gotoku!.
