Gaku Tsugano’s Mangaya Manga Ends

Gaku Tsugano (artist for Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu and Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo) ended the school, shounen manga series, Mangaya in the March issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Shounen Ace magazine on Monday.

The first chapter for the school-oriented shounen manga was published under the label Kadokawa Comic Ace on April 26, 2014 in Monthly Shounen Ace’s June 2014 issue.

There is currently only one compiled manga volume for the series and it was shipped on November 26, 2014. The second and final volume will be released on March 26, 2015.

The manga received an on-stage voicing event, Comic Atereko Live, on November 24, 2014 held at Otemachi Sankei Plaza 4F Hall (Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). At the event, the voice actors say the dialogues of their characters on-stage just like an anime seiyuu event.

Synopsis of Mangaya from Manga Updates:

The story begins when second-year high school student Kei Kagasaki dreams of becoming a manga creator. The day after he successfully submits a manuscript to publisher Sumikawa Shoten, his classmate Aya issues a challenge to him to see which of them can sell 10 million manga volumes first.
