Manga Authors from Weekly Shonen Jump Pay Tribute to Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto

7

In this year’s 50th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, various manga authors have paid respect to Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto series which recently ended on chapter 700. Normally manga authors leave silly or honest comments in the boxes at the end of an issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. This week each of them is praising and congratulating Masashi Kisimoto on the end of Naruto instead.

Notes: Otsukaresama is a phrase to praise someone who is a hardworking, tired person as a form of appreciation for their job well done. As in you would say this at the end of the day to be like “Awesome job/Great work! You worked so diligently today! Have a rest!”. Otsukaresama Deshita means the same as noted above.
