The official twitter for the Rail Wars! anime has announced there will be a special Niconico live stream event on the 6th of June. The stream will reveal new content of Takumi Toyoda and Vania600’s manga everyday until July 7th.

The official website of the anime has also revealed some new information, more of the staff and production crew have been revealed:
- Director: Yoshifumi Sueda (Storyboard for Bleach, first full directing role)
- Series Composer: Masashi Suzuki (Oda Nobuna no Yabou, Minami-ke: Okawari)
- Main Character Designer and Animation Director: Makoto Uno (Witchblade, Key animator on Love Hina and Zoids)
- Sub Character Designer and Animation Director: Sayaka Koiso (Haitai Nanafa, key animation on Eva 1.00, 2.00)
- Art Director: Yukihiro Watanabe (background artist on Angel Beats! and Fate/Zero
) - Art Set Designer: Hiroki Matsumoto (Tiger & Bunny, Welcome to the NHK)
- Music Composer: Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Love Live! School idol project, Akuma no Riddle)
- Animation Studio: Passione (Haitai Nanafa)
Some new character designs of the main characters were also released, sadly the cast has not been revealed yet.

Rail Wars! was first released as a light novel series on the 16th of January, 2012. The full title for the Light Novel is Rail Wars! Nihon Kokuyuu Tetsudou Kouantai (Rail Wars! Japanese National Railways Security Force). The series story is written by Takumi Toyoda and illustrations are done by Vania600. The series also received a manga adaptation that started late last year that is being written by Takumi Toyoda and drawn by Keiji Asakawa (Story & Art for Robotics;Notes). Japanese developer and publisher 5pb. (Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes) are also working on a game based on the manga and upcoming anime.

Rail Wars! Synopsis from Haruhichan.
The “dream railway paradise entertainment” story is set in a parallel world where Japan did not privatize its national railways. Naohito Takayama is an ordinary high school boy who dreams of a comfortable future working for the top-rated Japanese National Railways. He is assigned as a trainee in the Railways Security Force full of odd characters such as Sakurai, a troublemaker who hates men. On top of that, an extremist group called “RJ” plots to privatize the Japanese National Railways.
