Square Enix has just announced that the entire Final Fantasy XIII trilogy will be coming to the PC via Steam. The first title in the trilogy, Final Fantasy XIII, will be out on Steam on October 9th.
The Steam store page for Final Fantasy XIII is already live and you can pre-purchase the game for 10%. The full price of the game is a surprising $15.99. The game will support Steam Trading Cards and will be coming out in a few weeks time. The game will also be available on Square Enix’s Online Store. The publisher has stated it’s aiming to release all three games, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, on PC by Spring next year.
Here are the minimum system requirements for the game:

- CPU: 2GHz Dual Core CPU
- RAM: 1 GB
- Hard disk space: 30 GB
- Video: NVIDIA® Geforce® 8 Series/ ATI Radeon™ HD 2000 series VRAM 256MB or later

- DirectX®: 9.0c

Final Fantasy XIII is the thirteenth major instalment in Square Enix’s Final Fantasy franchise. The game originally released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. The game was the first entry in the Fabula Nova Crystallis series, with Final Fantasy Agito (now Final Fantasy Type-0) and Final Fantasy Versus XIII (now Final Fantasy XV). The game received two sequels in the following years, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII in 2011 and 2013 respectively. To date the trilogy has sold over 12 million copies.
Final Fantasy XIII will be out on Steam on October 9, with Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII coming in the upcoming months.
