The Girls from Plastic Memories Have a Sleepover in This New Visual

A new visual for the original TV anime project Plastic Memories has been revealed in the July issue of Dengeki G‘s magazine. The new visual features Eru Miru, Isla and Michiru Kinushima having a fun time at a sleepover. Dengeki G‘s magazine can be purchased here.

June issue of NewType which can be purchased here featured a new visual with a very clumsy Isla falling onto Tsukasa Mizugaki.

Last January she was also featured in Dengeki G‘s Magazine.

Plastic Memories is a Japanese anime television series produced by Doga Kobo and directed by Yoshiyuki Fujiwara. The story was conceived by Naotaka Hayashi, who also wrote the screenplay, with original character design by Okiura. The series premiered in Japan on April 4, 2015.

This story takes place in a future not too far away when androids that look exactly like humans begin to spread across the world. The android production company SA Corp. produced Giftia, a new kind of android that has the most amount of emotion and human-like qualities out of any other model ever seen.

However, due to problems in technology, the androids have a service life, and once they pass that, they… Well, it gets pretty bad. For this sake, SA Corp. creates a terminal service in order to retrieve Giftia that have gone past their service life. A new employee at the terminal service named Tsukasa Mizugaki forms a team with the Giftia Isla to retrieve the other androids, but…

The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of Hobby Japan and Megahouse’s figure collaboration Bikini Warriors began streaming the first promotional video on Monday.

A new visual for anime adaptation of Ichiei Ishibumi and Miyama-Zero’s High School DxD light novel series has been revealed in the July issue of Dengeki G‘s magazine. The new visual features Akeno Himejima and Rias Gremory killing some time in the sun at the beach. Dengeki G‘s magazine can be purchased here.

High School DxD is a light novel series written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero. The series began serialization in 2008 in Fujimi Shobo’s Dragon Magazine, before being published in their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. To date, there has been 18 compiled volumes. Three manga adaptation of the series have been published in 2010, 2012 and 2013, all of which have been written by Ishibumi. An anime adaptation was produced in 2012. It was animated by TNK (School Days) and directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa (Sora no Otoshimono: Tokeijikake no Angeloid, Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora). Two OADs were then released, and were then followed by the second season of the anime in 2013. A Nintendo 3DS game was also released later that year.

Here is a synopsis of the series from Haruhichan:

Issei Hyodo is your average perverted high school student whose one wish in life is to have his own harem, but he’s got to be one of the unluckiest guys around. He goes on his first date with a girl only to get brutally attacked and killed when it turns out the girl is really a vicious fallen angel. To top it all off, he’s later reincarnated as a devil by his gorgeous senpai who tells him that she is also a devil and now his master! One thing’s for sure, his peaceful days are over. In a battle between devils and angels, who will win?

Hibike! Euphonium begins when Kumiko Oumae, a girl who was in the brass band club in junior high school, visits her high school’s brass band club as a first year. Kumiko’s classmates Hazuki and Sapphire decide to join the club, but Kumiko sees her old classmate Reina there and hesitates. She remembers an incident she had with Reina at a brass band club contest in junior high school.

Monster Hunter X Announced for the 3DS

At the recent Monster Hunter event in Tokyo, Capcom have just announced the next instalment in the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter X. The game itself will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan later this Winter.

Monster Hunter X, also known as Monster Hunter Cross, is the next major instalment in the franchise after Monster Hunter 4 G (Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in the west). With the new announcement, the first video of the game has been revealed showcasing the first footage of the game’s combat and new additions.

From the announcement trailer, it seems that the combat has been significantly reworked to be more action based with flashy attacks, similar to Monster Hunter Frontier. Many of the weapon types in the game will have new super attacks as well as a new concept called Hunter Styles. The trailer has also revealed that players will be able to access many of the villages from previous games in the series, with Kokoto Village, Pokke Village and Yukumo Village being shown off.

The trailer has also shown off new monsters that will be making their debut in the franchise. A total of 4 monsters have been revealed so far:

A new fire brute wyvern

A large mammoth monster:

A water wyvern that fires bubbles, that resembles Alatreon

A new wyvern that is similar to the Seregios

Monster Hunter is one of Japan’s most popular franchises. The series started in 2004 on the PlayStation 2, and has since been on the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U and the PC. To date, the entire franchise has sold over 28 million copies, with the latest main instalment being Monster Hunter 4G for the Nintendo 3DS in 2014, selling over 4.1 Million copies in Japan. The G versions of the game includes many new additions over the vanilla game. Capcom has released the game internationally as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in March this year. A MMO, titled Monster Hunter Online was announced in 2013 for China only.

Monster Hunter X, or Monster Hunter Cross, will be releasing for the Nintendo 3DS later this Winter in Japan. Information about an international release has not been revealed so far. Further information and footage of the game will be revealed soon.

Com2us have revealed a full trailer for their popular fantasy sport card android/iOS game Soccer Spirits on Friday. The new trailer is in celebration of season 2, along with celebrating the first year anniversary of the franchise.

A new visual for Fujino Omori’s Danmachi has been revealed in the July issue of Dengeki G’s magazine. The new visual features the Goddess Hestia splashing about in shallow water.

Danmachi was also featured as an article in the June issue of Animedia. The new visual features the Goddess Hestia and the strongest adventurer in history, Ais Wallenstein.

Two new key visuals were recently revealed in the June issue of Megami and NyanType. The first visual is from June’sMegami issue and features Hestia leaning over a bar while drinking a glass of red wine. While the second visual from June’s NyanType issue displays her getting undressed.

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru no Darou ka?, also known as DanMachi for short, is a Japanese light novel series, written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. SB Creative has published six volumes since January 2013 under their GA Bunko imprint. It has received a spin-off light novel series and three manga adaptations. An anime television series adaptation by J.C.Staff is scheduled to air from April 2015.

The official website of the anime adaptation of Saki Hasemi and Kentaro Yabuki’s To Love-Ru manga has revealed that the second season of the To LOVE-Ru Darkness anime, To LOVE-Ru Darkness 2nd, will be airing from July 6. The site has also revealed the returning cast and staff of the anime, character designs.

In addition to the new visual above, three more were also unveiled that all reveal the July broadcast:

The latest issue of Megami has also revealed a brand new visual that features Yui Kotegawa and Haruna Sairenji posing as cats.

The June issue of Megami magazine has revealed a brand new visual that features Momo.

To LOVE-Ru is an ongoing comedy, ecchi romance manga written by Saki Hasemi and illustrated by Kentaro Yabuki. The original series ran from April 2006 and ended in August 2009 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump for a total of 18 volumes. A sequel manga titled To LOVE-Ru Darkness began in the same magazine in 2010 and has a total of 10 volumes to date. An anime adaptation of the first manga was produced in 2008 by Xebec (Pandora Hearts, Break Blade) and directed by Takao Kato (Pandora Hearts, Upotte!!). A sequel anime was followed by in 2010 adapting the remainder of the manga, and the first anime adaptation of To LOVE-Ru Darkness was produced in 2012. The series also received many OVA and video game adaptations.

The story is about Rito Yuuki, a high-school boy who cannot confess to the girl of his dreams, Haruna Sairenji. One day when coming home and sulking in the bath-tub a mysterious, nude girl, appears out of nowhere. Her name is Lala and she comes from the planet Deviluke, where she is the heir to the throne. Her father wants her to return to her home planet so she can marry one of the husband candidates, but she decides that she wants to marry Rito in order to stay on Earth.

Wing’s New Hyperdimension Neptunia Figure Wows Fans

This week, a new figure featuring Purple Heart from the popular RPG Hyperdimension Neptunia by WING hit online stores for pre-order. Not only does the figure feature a beautiful paint job, flawless sculpting, and stands 1/7th scale of the characters canon size, it is one of the first non-garage kit figures of Purple Heart. Garage Kits are popular among figure collectors and require the buyer to assemble and paint the figure themselves, but are usually rarer and less convenient for collectors to make and own.

The scale figure stands 320 mm, or 16 inches and is set to release in November of this year. She is currently available for preorder on Amiami for 14,760 yen ($118).

The official website of the upcoming anime adaptation of Norimitsu Kaihou and Sadoru Chiba’s Gakkou Gurashi! (School-Live!) manga has announced that the first episode will be airing on July 9. Additionally, the site has also previewed more of the characters’ voices and revealed a new cast member.

The Gakkou Gurashi! anime will begin its broadcast from July 9th on Tokyo MX at 11:30pm JST. The anime will also air an hour later at 12:30am JST on Sun TV and BS11.

Gakkou Gurashi! is a Japanese manga series written by Nitroplus’ Norimitsu Kaihou and illustrated by Sadoru Chiba. The series began serialization in the July 2012 issue of Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine. An anime adaptation by Lerche will begin airing in Summer 2015

TV vs Blu-ray – Hyouka

One of the more popular anime series from 2012 was Kyoto Animation’s (Amagi Brilliant Park, Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!) adaptation of Honobu Yonezawa’s light novel series Hyouka. The Blu-ray boxset of the entire anime has been reissued recently and a set of comparison images and video between the original broadcast and the Blu-ray release has been produced.Generally, the Blu-rays are better than the TV version, since they have time to reproduce scenes of the anime that may have been rushed to make schedules and deadlines. It is also the studio’s biggest avenue for profit. We have done a series of these TV and Blu-ray comparisons before so make sure to check them out here.

For the most part, many of the changes between the two versions are minor, ranging from small visual errors, text changes and the removal of credits from various scenes. Regardless, it is nice to see what the animators catch when reproducing the anime for the physical release.

Hyouka is a Japanese 2001 mystery novel by Honobu Yonezawa. It is the first volume of the Classic Literature Club series. Four additional volumes have been published between 2002 and 2010. A manga adaptation drawn by Taskohna began serialization in the March 2012 issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Shonen Ace. A 22-episode anime adaptation produced by Kyoto Animation and directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto aired from April 22 to September 16, 2012.

Here’s a synopsis of Hyouka from Haruhichan:

Oreki Houtarou is a minimalistic high school boy. One day, he joins the Classic Literature Club at his elder sister’s request.

There he meets Chitanda Eru, Fukube Satoshi, and Ibara Mayaka. Chitanda is a calm beautiful girl but she turns into an embodiment of curiosity once she says, “I’m interested in it.” Fukube is a smiling boy with a fantastic memory who calls himself a database. Ibara is a short girl and is strict with others and herself.

They begin to investigate a case that occurred 45 years ago. Hints of the mystery are buried in an old collection of works of the former members of Classics Club. The collection is titled “Hyouka.”

Detective Conan Movie 19 Becomes the Highest Grossing Detective Conan Movie

It has been revealed that the 19th Detective Conan film, Detective Conan Movie 19: The Hellfire Sunflowers, earned 4.148 billion yen from 3,319,000 ticket sales in 37 days from its opening on April 18, making it the most successful film in the anime franchise. The previous record was 4.11 billion yen by last year’s Detective Conan Movie 18:The Dimensional Sniper, which also updated the record of its predecessor, 17th film Private Eye in the Distant Sea’s 3.63 billion yen.

Even in its sixth weekend of May 23-24, the Koubun Shizuno-directed film still ranked 6th, while one of its anime film competitors opened on the same day, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F has already slipped out of the top 10.

TOHO also streamed a new 90-second trailer and 30-second 2nd teaser for the Detective Conan Movie 19: The Hellfire Sunflowers recently. The trailer revealed that two-member Japanese rock band Porno Graffitti will perform the ending theme titled “Oh! Rival”. This is the first time they will collaborate with the Detective Conan anime franchise, and their CD single was released as their 42nd single on April 15.

Kobun Shizuno will return to direct the film and Takeharu Sakurai will write the script. Katsuo Ono will again to compose the music. A certain world-famous painting was to be auctioned at an auctionhouse in New York frequented by the rich. The piece of art was one of van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’, a masterpiece thought to be destroyed in Japan. Jirokichi Suzuki fights off all bidders by putting forward $300 million to buy it, stating that he intends to collect all seven of the ‘Sunflowers’ paintings that are scattered around the world. It will be given its greatest exhibition ever in the Japanese museum ‘Lake Rock’, which boasts iron-clad security, he announces live on worldwide news being watched by Conan and Ran. He has collected seven specialists known as the ‘Seven Samurai’ to protect the Sunflowers, but just as they are about to appear, Kaitou Kid suddenly shows up! He declares war, stating that he will steal the painting no matter what, before vanishing. Why would Kid make such a statement when he usually only goes after Big Jewels?

And just as everyone starts to panic, a high-school detective appears on the scene, having heard rumors of Kid’s appearance: Shinichi Kudo. Then, the ‘White Shadow’ launches an aerial assault on the passenger plane carrying the ‘Sunflowers’ to Japan…The curtain opens on an art mystery that blends truth and lies, focused upon a peerless treasure…

Detective Conan, is a Japanese detective manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. The series is serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shounen Sunday since January 19, 1994, and has been collected into 84 tankobon volumes. Due to legal considerations with the name Detective Conan, the English language release was renamed to Case Closed. The story follows Shinichi Kudo, an amateur detective who transformed into a child while investigating the Black Organization.

Detective Conan received an anime adaptation by Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation and TMS Entertainment. The anime resulted in animated feature films, original video animations, video games, audio disc releases, and live action episodes. In 2009, a television special titled Lupin the 3rd vs. Detective Conan was aired featuring characters from Lupin III.

The tankobon volumes of the manga have sold over 140 million copies in Japan. In 2001, the manga was awarded 46th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shounen category. The anime adaptation has been well received and ranked in the top twenty in Animage ’s polls between 1996 and 2001. In the Japanese TV anime ranking, Detective Conan episodes ranked in the top six on a weekly basis. Both the manga and anime have had positive response from critics for its plot and cases.

Sword Art Online Games to Receive Western Releases

Bandai Namco Europe have revealed that they will release a PlayStation 4 digital version of Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment for Europe, Middle-East and Australasia in summer 2015. Sword Art Online: Lost Song is scheduled to launch at retail stores in Europe, Middle-East and Australasia for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in autumn 2015. Available subtitles include English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
