MV for Tokyo Ghoul √A’s ED Is Brutally Delicious

9

Those following Tokyo Ghoul √A would know it’s been quite a riveting adventure thus far. Let’s take a break from the anime for a moment to admire the music video for its ending theme Kisetsu wa Tsugitsugi Shindeiku by Amazarashi (roughly translated to “Seasons Dying One After The Other”).

Warning: Video may be disturbing for some viewers

The video certainly follows through with the theme of the anime – depicting a young bespectacled woman eating what seems to be raw meat. A plain setting with a filter that grays out the entire scene, making it artistically drab – the existence of this girl as well as the meat, a sharp contrast with the background.

What slowly unfolds is a music video that’s almost as dark as the anime itself. She begins to eat and seems reluctant, but begins to enjoy it more and more. She becomes more voracious as the melodic tune plays and it ends in a way that can only be described as violently beautiful.

Tokyo Ghoul Root A Ending Theme Song ED MV Music Video Rize Haruhichan.com
That red liquid in the glass… And who is to say the meat isn’t human?

Another point that is interesting to note is that there are words seemingly 3D printed out of the meat pieces, and the girl bears a stark resemblance to one of the show’s pivotal female character’s, the binge eating ghoul, Rize. Slick editing, an interesting idea and modern technology all come together to make this unique piece of art.

Definitely one of the more edgy MVs to come out in recent times, it’s well worth a watch for fans of the series. Those following Tokyo Ghoul will also be interested to know the final episode of the season will be releasing this week, and can be found right here on Haruhichan.

Any thoughts on the music video? On the song itself? Let us know in the comments below! Until next time, Tomoki the Toronto Ghoul signing out!

In addition to this, the main staff was also revealed earlier:

Gintama 2015 visual:

New Gintama Series Slated for April 2015 visual haruhichan.com Gintama new season announced

Gintama, is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Hideaki Sorachi and serialized, beginning on December 8, 2003, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. Set in Edo which has been conquered by aliens named Amanto, the plot follows life from the point of view of samurai Gintoki Sakata, who works as a freelancer alongside his friends Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura in order to pay the monthly rent. Sorachi added the science fiction setting to develop characters to his liking after his editor suggested doing a historical series.

The series has been adapted into an original video animation (OVA) by Sunrise and was featured at Jump Festa 2006 Anime Tour in 2005. This was followed by a full anime series titled Gintama that premiered in 2006 and continued until 2010. After a small hiatus, Gintama returned under the name Gintama (2011) and aired until March 26, 2012 with a total of 51 episodes. After another small hiatus, Gintama returned under the name Gintama’ Enchousen with a total of 13 episodes which aired from October 4, 2012 to March 28th, 2013. It also inspired two movies, Gintama: Shinyaku Benizakura-hen and Gintama: Kanketsu-hen – Yorozuya yo Eien Nare. Weekly Shonen Jump’s 33rd issue had teased that the manga is celebrating over a decade of serialization with “OOO” (an unrevealed term that can be spelled with three Japanese syllables).

Gintama synopsis from Haruhichan:

Life isn’t easy in feudal Japan… especially since the aliens landed and conquered everything! Oh sure, the new health care is great, but the public ban on the use of swords has left a lot of defeated samurai with a difficult decision to make concerning their future career paths! This is especially true if, as in the case of Gintoki Sakata, they’re not particularly inclined towards holding a day job, which is why Gintoki’s opted for the freelance route, taking any job that’s offered to him as long as the financial remuneration sounds right. Unfortunately, in a brave new world filled with stray bug-eyed monsters, upwardly mobile Yakuza and overly ambitious E.T. entrepreneurs, those jobs usually don’t pay as well as they should for the pain, suffering and indignities endured!

Fate/stay night is a visual novel released by Type-Moon for the PC in 2004, and is the first in their Fate series. The visual novel was very successful and claimed the title of highest selling visual novel in that year. 2006 saw two adaptations of the game, a manga by Datto Nishiwaki and an anime series by Studio Deen. Additionally in that year, a light novel series titled Fate/Zero was written by Gen Urobuchi. It is a prequel to the visual novels, set 10 years prior. An anime and manga adaptation of Fate/Zero were created, with the manga written by Urobuchi himself in 2011 and the anime being animated by ufotable. A second season of Fate/Zero was also produced.
