Super Sonico is a fictional female character created for the Japanese computer and video game software company Nitroplus, first appearing as a mascot for a Nitroplus-sponsored music festival in 2006. Bandai are continuing the celebrations for the 15th anniversary of Digimon Adventure and have revealed that they will be producing a limited release of the original crests from the 1999 TV anime series. In conjunction with the 15th Anniversary Digivice, you can now also be part of the original DigiDestined.
Bandai is currently taking orders on their Premium Bandai store for the crests/crests and emblems that the original 8 Digidestined wore, each having a unique trait. It was a representation for the original DigiDestined to grow and mature. Each purchase comes with all 8 crests and the tag to place the crest into. The crests themselves have been beautifully recreated from the original anime, ensuring you have the most authentic product. The tag also comes with a sparkling necklace chain that resembles the chain from the anime.

In the anime the crests reacted when the DigiDestined displayed the trait of their respective crest, eg. Tai showing courage, the crest would glow and allow their Digimon to Digivolve/Evolve. The new 15th anniversary crests will also have the same ability. Whereas previous products of the crests and tag were simple plastic toys, the new version will also glow at the press of the button on the tag.
Early orders of the DigiDestined Crests will also receive a special pin set. The pins on the back have a print of all the crests’ designs of the original DigiDestined. This is a very limited and premium bonus, so it ensure you have a chance order it early.

Digimon (Digital Monsters in Japan) is a large multimedia franchise that was based on Bandai’s Digivice products, which first released in 1997. The toys were based on Tamagotchis, which were also produced by Bandai. The toys were seen as more female orientated products, so Bandai created a new line of products for a male equivalent. The first anime adaptation, Digimon Adventure, was produced in 1999 by Toei Animation (Dragon Ball Z, One Piece). A film and TV anime were released alongside each other in 1999, the movie being a 20 minute anime produced by Mamoru Hosoda (Wolf Children, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time). Since then there has been numerous anime series, toys, figures, manga, video games and trading card games in the franchise. And 2014, marks the 15th anniversary of Digimon Adventure with a new anime titled Digimon Adventure tri. airing this Spring.

Shokugeki no Souma (Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma) is a comedy, ecchi cooking manga written by Yuuto Tsukuda, illustrated by Shun Saeki with Chef Yuki Mirosaki adding recipes to the manga. The series began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in late 2012 and to date has a total of 9 compiled volumes released, with the 10th volume releasing in Japan on November 4th. A light novel adaptation of the manga began in February this year in Shueisha’s Jump j-Books, written by Michiko Itou and illustrated by Saeki himself. The manga itself has sold over 2 million copies to date.

To celebrate Valentine’s day, High School DxD‘s Rias Germory and Trinity Seven‘s Lilith Asami have teamed up to help promote the third volume release of Trinity Seven‘s Blu-ray and DVD, an upcoming Trinity Seven event and the upcoming third anime season of Ichiei Ishibumi and Miyama-Zero’s High School DxD light novel series, High School DxD BorN.

Earlier in the year, the Hatsune Miku franchise revealed designs for the 2015 “Snow Bell Miku.” After receiving positive responses from fans, finally this version of the beloved vocaloid’s upcoming figures were displayed at Wonder Festival 2015, selling limited amounts of the figma and nendoroid for those who attended.
Good Smile Company currently has both the nendoroid and the figma displayed on their site for preorder, priced at ¥4,167, estimated to release in July.

The official website for Yusei Matsui’s Shonen Jump hit Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu) has revealed a new illustration featuring the part-time foreign language teacher, Irina Jelavić, wishing you a Happy Valentine:
Irina Jelavić was first introduced in episode 4 of Assassination Classroom. She’s a professional hitman and a part-time foreign language teacher, who also happens to go by the name Bitch-sensei.

Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yusei Matsui. It follows the daily lives of an extremely powerful octopus-like teacher and his students dedicated to the task of assassinating him to prevent Earth from being destroyed.
Individual chapters have been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2012, and are collected into tankoubon volumes published by Shueisha. As of July 2014, ten volumes will have been released in Japan with a circulation of ten million copies. An event anime adaptation of Assassination Classroom was screened on the Jump Super Anime Tour from October 6, 2013 to November 24, 2013. The manga has been licensed by Viz Media for an English language North American release, who will release the first volume in December 2014 in both digital and print formats.
A live action film has been announced and an anime series based on the manga is scheduled to premiere on Fuji TV in January 2015. The anime has been licensed by Funimation, who will stream the anime as it airs in Japan on their website.

Some new information has been revealed on the official website of the Kyoukai no Kanata (Beyond the Boundary) anime, that includes a brand new visual, trailer and main theme for the upcoming series of films based on the anime, Kyoukai no Kanata I’ll Be Here (Beyond the Boundary I’ll Be Here).
Kyoukai no Kanata: I’ll Be Here will be opening this Spring anime season with two films: a compilation film of the anime series that will be releasing on March 14 subtitled Kako-hen (The Past), and a new film set one year after the events of the anime series releasing on April 25, subtitled Mirai-hen (The Future).
A brand new minute and 30 second trailer has been revealed that showcases both new and old footage from the anime. The video also previews the main theme of the Mirai-hen film.
The anime’s website has revealed the main theme of Kyoukai no Kanata: I’ll Be Here – Mirai-hen. The song will be titled Aitakatta Sora (I Want to Meet the Sky) and will be sung by Minori Chihara, who voices Mitsuki Nase in the series. The single of the song will be sold later in the year for ¥1,800 (~ $15 USD). The OST of the anime will be also be sold around the time frame of the film’s release, which will be composed by Hikaru Nanase once again, and will cost ¥3,500 (~ $29.50 USD). It will come in a two CD case with a special jacket.
A new batch of advance tickets for Kyoukai no Kanata: I’ll Be Here was also revealed. Two new types of tickets are now open for order and costs ¥1,500 (~ $12.60 USD). One ticket is for Kako-hen and the other is for Mirai-hen. Both purchases will be bundled with a ticket to the respective movie and a special A4 sheet separated into 4 slots to be used as bookmarks.

Kyoukai no Kanata (Beyond the Boundary) is a light novel series written by Nagomu Torii and illustrated by Tomoyo Kamoi. The series was first an entry in Kyoto Animation’s Award program in 2011, where it received an honourable mention. The series began being published in 2012 in Kyoto Animation’s KA Esma Bunko imprint. To date there has been a total of 3 volumes published. The series received a TV anime adaptation from Kyoto Animation (K-ON!, Free!) in Fall/Spring 2013, which was directed by Taichi Ishidate (first director role). A few OVAs and a website series were also released following the TV anime, with the prequel OVA out now.

A new key visual featuring Meliodas, Elizabeth Liones and Gowther from the popular TV anime series Nanatsu no Taizai has been featured in the March issue of Animedia. While it isn’t officially a valentine’s themed poster, it certainly does have that feel to it.
The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine since October 2012, with the chapters collected into ten tankōbon volumes as of June 17, 2014. The manga features a setting similar to the European Middle Ages, with its titular group of knights representing the seven deadly sins.
As of August 2014, The Seven Deadly Sins had over 5 million copies in circulation. It is currently being adapted into a television anime by A-1 Pictures that will debut on October 5, 2014. The manga has been licensed by Kodansha Comics USA for English publication in North America, while the chapters are released digitally by Crunchyroll in over 170 countries as they are published in Japan. The Seven Deadly Sin anime will debut this October, during the 2014 Fall/Autumn anime season.

The “Seven Deadly Sins,” a group of evil knights who conspired to overthrow the kingdom of Britannia, were said to have been eradicated by the Holy Knights, although some claim that they still live. Ten years later, the Holy Knights have staged a coup d’état and assassinated the king, becoming the new, tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. Elizabeth, the king’s third daughter, sets out on a journey to find the “Seven Deadly Sins,” and to enlist their help in taking back the kingdom.

Kings Records have revealed that the limited first edition Blu-ray and DVD release of K – Missing Kings is scheduled for release on April 22 and both versions will include English Subtitles.
The Blu-ray and DVD will both include: a documentary, a video of the K -in this place again- event, a theatre manners video, a collection of promo videos and TV ads for the movie, the film’s original soundtrack, and a “GoRA novella” – which includes a side story collection, a new short story, and the script for the Scepter 4 drama CD.

K, also known as K Project, is an original television anime series by the studio GoHands (Seitokai Yakuindomo, Coppelion). The series launched in October 2012 and was helmed by director Shingo Suzuki (Coppelion). The series received modest reception for its plot, but it was praised for the fluidity of the visuals and art. The creator of the series, GoRa (who also helped with the series’ composition), also wrote the story of the many adaptations of K. To date, the series has two prequel mangas, a side story manga, two light novels and a PlayStation Vita game. Herz debuting this summer, figure manufacturer Broccoli have revealed images for the upcoming “Beast” version of Illyasviel Von Einzbern which was previewed at Winter Wonder Festival 2015.
This figure is a 1/8th scale of everyone’s favorite magical girl from Type-Moon, Illyasviel Von Einzbern. She’s wearing a black cat-girl costume as seen in one of the OVAs of season one while displaying a cute embarrassed look on her face while she tries her hardest to act catlike. She comes displayed on a giant black paw as the base while her sentient magical stick, Ruby, seems to enjoy watching her put on a display.

Tokyo-based smartphone software company jig has announced the results of their latest survey for the Valentine’s Day season targeting female and male Japanese anime fans. The two main questions were “Who do you want to get Valentine’s Day chocolates from?” and “Who do you want to give Valentine’s Day chocolates to?”, the questionnaire was taken with the users of the company’s free market app for anime goods, otamart, between January 20 and 25. 83.8% (3,793) was female and 16.2% (734) was male.

The official twitter account for Tsutaya’s mail-order service has revealed that voice actresses Minori Chihara, Natsuko Kuwatani, Yuko Goto, Yuki Matsuoka, and Aya Hirano will perform the theme song Fure Fure Mirai (Hooray Falling Future) under the group name Kitakou Bungei-Bu Joshikai (North High School Literature Club Girls) for the upcoming spring 2015 anime, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan.

The anime adaptation of the spin-off manga was made late last year. Anime store Docomo was revealed to be streaming the upcoming series, as well as the two other spin-off shows in the Haruhi franchise, The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya and Nyoron Churuya-san.
The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan is a spin-off manga in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya franchise, where it stars the eponymous character Yuki Nagato. The series takes place in the alternate universe established in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. The series is written and drawn by Puyo, which started in February 2010. To date, the series has a total of 5 volumes with the 6th volume releasing on December 26th this year.
There is very little information regarding the anime announcement of The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, including whether or no Kyoto Animation will produce it. Two other spin-off manga were also produced into anime: The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya and Nyoron Churuya-san.

The first trailer for their upcoming North American Blu-ray and DVD release of the third movie of the Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica (Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica) anime series, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika Movie 3: Rebellion.
