During the Comiket 87 doujinshi mega-event, a promotional video for the second season of the anime adaptation of Wataru Watari and Ponkan8’s Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) light novel series was revealed. The second season titled Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU 2), will be airing in April next year during the Spring 2015 anime season.

In addition to this, the new character designs previewed earlier. Here’s the characters in order: Yukino Yukinoshita, Yui Yuigahama, Hachiman Hikigaya and Iroha Isshiki.

The cast was also revealed earlier and include:

Takuya Eguchi (Kazuya Kujou in Gosick) will voice Hachiman Hikigaya
Saori Hayami (Ayase Aragaki from Oreimo) is back as Yukino Yukinoshita

The series will feature new crew members, including a new director and animation studio. The staff are as follows:

MONACA (Nisemonogatari, Wake Up, Girls!) will again be in charge of music and Satoshi Motoyama (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Oreimo) will again serve as sound director.

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) is a light novel series written by Wataru Watari and illustrated by Ponkan8. The light novels began in March 2011 and is published in Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko imprint. To date there has been 9 volumes and 4 short stories published. There has been three spin-off manga adaptations written and illustrated by various people. The series also received an anime adaptation that aired in April 2012 that was animated by Brain’s Base (Baccano!, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun). Additionally, a visual novel was developed by 5pb. for the PlayStation Vita that released on September 19th last year.

Here is a synopsis of the series from Haruhichan:

This romantic comedy revolves around an antisocial high school student named Hikigaya Hachiman with a distorted view on life and no friends or girlfriend. When he sees his classmates talking excitedly about living their adolescent lives, he mutters: “They’re a bunch of liars.” When he is asked about his future dreams, he responds, “Not working.” A teacher gets Hachiman to join the “Volunteer Service” club, which happens to have the school’s prettiest girl, Yukinoshita Yukino.

The official listing for the Blu-ray boxset of Digimon Adventure has revealed the cover and more details of the Blu-ray boxset of the original Digimon Adventure anime. Additionally, the official website of the Digimon Adventure Tri anime released a slightly updated version of the visual.

The official distributor of the Digimon Adventure Blu-ray boxset, Happinet, have updated their listing of the release with the front and back cover of the box and some details about the bonuses the boxset will include. In addition to the full 1080i remaster of the anime, there will also be a brand new special 40 minute Drama CD, along with two previously released Drama CDs: Before the World Ends and the second part of Digimon Mystery File: Solving of the Thousand Year Seal. These three Drama CDs, written by the main staff of the anime and voiced by the main cast, will be available for early limited editions of the Blu-ray boxset.

All copies of the Blu-ray will also include the following bonuses: a special designed transparent disc sleeve and Mikatase clear case, 2 special designed Blu-ray disc cases, and a picture label. There will also be an updated booklet combining the 2 booklets that were released in the 2007 and 2012 DVD boxsets; one titled Memories Of Our Digimon Adventure and the other titled Summer Adventure Vacation Diary. The boxset will also feature uncredited versions of the opening and commercials of the anime.

The Spring 2015 anime will be set 6 years after the end of the original series, and 3 years after Digimon Adventure 02. The newly announced anime will be produced by Toei Animation (Sailor Moon Crystal, One Piece) and follow 17 year old Tai who is currently in high school with Agumon. Toei Animation released the first teaser video about the new series:

Digimon (Digital Monsters in Japan) is a large multimedia franchise that was based on Bandai’s Digivice products, which first released in 1997. The toys were based on Tamagotchis, which were also produced by Bandai. The toys were seen as more female orientated products, so Bandai created a new line of products for a male equivalent. .The first anime adaptation, Digimon Adventure, was produced in 1999 by Toei Animation. A film and TV anime were released alongside each other in 1999, the movie being a 20 minute anime produced by Mamoru Hosoda (Wolf Children, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time). Since then there has been numerous anime series, toys, figures, manga, video games and trading card games in the franchise. And this year, will mark the 15th anniversary of Digimon Adventure.

New Etotama Anime Visual Released

A brand new visual has been released for the upcoming Etotama anime in the latest issue of Megami Magazine, which features the two main characters of the anime: Nya-tan and Uma-tan.

The main cast of the Etotama anime:

Two brand new promotional videos have been released for Etotama, both showcasing the 3D CGI of the anime. The first video is the third promotional video of the anime that introduces the main characters of the anime and the transformation sequence between their adult form and their pretty form.

Etotama is a new original anime series produced by Japanese animation studio Shirogumi Inc. and Japanese media producer Tablier Communications. A manga based on the series by Takashi Hoshi and Tooru Zekuu, and illustrated by Hiroma Hino (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai dj – Anti-Reaju Pandemic) was launched in January this year in Kadokawa’s Dengeki Daioh magazine. The first compiled volume of the manga will be releasing on November 26th.

Nya-tan, the cat of Chinese astrology wants to become a member of the Chinese zodiac. Nya-tan is simple and suffers from memory loss, and she tries various foolish ways to become a member. She meets Takeru Tendo, a high school student who lives alone in Akihabara, and becomes a freeloader at his house. Little by little, she gets closer to her goal.

The full staff of the upcoming anime adaptation of Nagaru Tanigawa and Puyo’s The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan (The Vanishing of Nagato Yuki-Chan) manga has been revealed in the latest issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine.

Aya Hirano has recently went on Twitter and revealed that the upcoming anime will be scheduled to air from April next year, during the Spring 2015 anime season.

The anime adaptation of the spin-off manga was made late last year. Anime store Docomo was revealed to be streaming the upcoming series, as well as the two other spin-off shows in the Haruhi franchise, The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya and Nyoron Churuya-san.

The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan is a spin-off manga in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya franchise, where it stars the eponymous character Yuki Nagato. The series takes place in the alternate universe established in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. The series is written and drawn by Puyo, which started in February 2010. To date, the series has a total of 5 volumes with the 6th volume releasing on December 26th this year.

There is very little information regarding the anime announcement of The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, including whether or no Kyoto Animation will produce it. Two other spin-off manga were also produced into anime: The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya and Nyoron Churuya-san.

The official website of the upcoming Etotama anime has revealed 2 new promotional videos revealing that the anime will be a mixture of traditional 2D anime and 3D CGI. Additionally, members of the anime’s cast, new characters and a new visual have also been revealed.

The series will feature traditional 2D digital anime when the characters are in their adult form, but when they travel into the Zodiac world and transform into their small pretty mode it is in 3D CGI visuals. The site has revealed brand new designs for the recently announced characters, showing their anime and CGI designs. The cast members for the new characters were also revealed and includes:

In the fandom, it is inevitable to view images, videos or even fan fictions dedicated to a certain pairing. The female fans that are into shipping (pairing) guys to guys are called fujoshis. 6th IDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls Anime Visual Launched

With just over a week till the broadcast of The IDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls the anime’s official website has released the 6th key visual, which features the 14 main idols. The series itself will be airing from January 9th next year. Additionally, the first commercial for the anime’s New Year’s special was also released.

The brand new visual will also be the cover of the CD release of the anime’s Opening theme song, Star!!, performed by the main cast of the anime. Further information about the song’s release will be revealed in the near future.

There will also be a special program being broadcasted prior to the The IDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls to celebrate the New Year. The special, titled The IDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls ~TV Anime Before New Years Cinderella Special Broadcast~, will be a live action program feature 4 members of the anime’s cast: Sayuri Hara, who voices Mio Honda, Ruriko Aoki, who voices Riina Tada, Haruka Yoshimura, who will voice Mika Jougasaki, and Rei Matsuzaki, who is voicing Kirari Moroboshi.

The special will be broadcasted on January 2nd at midnight (effectively January 3rd) on Tokyo MX, Chiba TV, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, TVS, TVK, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, GBS, and Mie TV. Here is the commercial for the New Years special:

The IDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls is a mobile social game developed by Mobage and published by Bandai Namco Games. The game involves the player to interact with other players, where they need to perform various tasks. The game features a total of 100 idols to be collected, who are represented as trading cards in the game. The game acts out like other social games where you will need to use a form of stamina to do a task – where it is refilled over time. The game has been reported to earn 1 Billion Yen (~ 10 Million USD) per month from in-game purchases of items and idols, and has over 4 million users as of April this year. A live concert of the game with all the voice actresses, Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls 1st Live Wonderful M@gic!!, was held at the Maihama Amphi Theater in Chiba Prefecture where the anime adaptation was announced last year.

The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls anime will be airing in Japan from January 9 at midnight (effectively the 10th) during the Winter 2014/2015 anime season. The New Years special will be airing on January 2 at midnight (effectively the 3rd) on various television networks.

Aldnoah.Zero Christmas Canvas Art Was Sold by Aniplex

Last November Aniplex began taking orders for the canvas art version of the Christmas illustration of Aldnoah.Zero that features Asseylum Vers Allusia and Slaine Troyard which starred in Animedia’s December issue as a poster. Each canvas art sold for 3,000 yen (about $25) and was 27.3cm x 19cm in size. A limited amount were sold and orders were accepted from November 25, those who were lucky enough to secure one received their goods on December 23.

The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of Osamu Takahashi’s Isuca manga has revealed that it will be airing on January 23 next year. In addition, the first key visual, main cast, production staff and anime character designs were also revealed on the site.

The first set of character designs for the anime were revealed alongside the cast of the series’ main characters. The main cast includes:

The Opening theme song of the anime will be Never say Never performed by Afilia Saga and the Ending theme of the anime will be Somebody to love by TWO-FORMULA.

Isuca is a ecchi action manga written and illustrated by Osamu Takahashi. The series began serialization in 2009 in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine. To date there has been a total of 6 compiled volumes released, the latest releasing on December 26.

Here is a synopsis of the series from MAL:

Shinichirou decides to look for a job in order to pay his rent, and his teacher suggests that he work for someone at their house,doing housekeeping. However, the person who hired him was Sakuya, a girl who is the 37th head of the Shimazu family, and her job is to exorcise and eliminate unwanted creatures. Shinichirou accidentally releases one of the creatures that Sakuya captures and they cooperate to catch it. A story of comedic creature hunting begins!

The Isuca anime will be airing from January 23 next year at 25:35 JST (effectively January 24 at 1:35am JST) during the Winter 2014/2015 anime season. An advanced screening of the anime’s first episode will be held at the Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku in Tokyo on January 5.

Infinite Stratos 2 Gets New Video Game Titled Love and Purge

Comiket 87 is fully under way and new announcements are coming in rapidly! The 5pb. (Steins;Gate Game, Muv-Luv Game) Booth announced on December 28th, 2014, that a new Infinite Stratos video game was in the works. The game is to be titled Infinite Stratos 2: Love and Purge. The game’s release date and platforms have not been announced, but a teaser site has been opened, showing off a visual which displays the main five female characters of the series as well as the Sarashiki sisters.

The light novels and anime already inspired a game, called Infinite Stratos 2: Ignition Hearts, which was released in February 2014. The game ran on the PlayStation3 and the PlayStation Vita. The game featured the five main female characters and the Sarashiki sisters as well. Yet another game, a 3D action game for the PC called Infinite Stratos Versus Colors, will be released in Japan on December 31st, 2014.

IS: Infinite Stratos is a light novel series by Izuru Yumizuru that was first released in 2009. The light novel was first published by Media Factory but issues between the author and publisher arose and ultimately Media Factory dropped the series. The series was picked up by Overlap, and with the change of publisher a change of artist was also issued. The first 7 volumes have been re-released under Overlap and the first new volume published was volume 8. Infinite Stratos was given an anime adaptation in 2011, which was produced by 8-Bit and ran for 12 episodes during the Winter 2011 anime season. An additional OVA and second season followed, once again produced by 8-Bit, and ran for 12 episodes during the Fall 2013 anime season. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kenji Akaboshi ran from mid 2010 to 2012.

Hibari from the Senran Kagura video game series gets special treatment with this figure. She’s widely known for her “butt attacks” throughout the game and even in the anime and manufacturer Chara-ani have made it possible to store various things between her butt and her mighty cheeks will hold them. She comes equipped with the ninja scroll but judging from the pictures online, you can use her butt to hold a pencil, memory card, USB cord and many other items that may fit.

On December 28th, 2014, the official website for Seta Hinako’s four-panel manga Re-Kan!‘s anime began streaming a new promotional video. This video also streamed on the same day at Comic Market, more commonly known as Comiket, 87. The video previews the story and introduces the characters of this “heartwarming anime about a spirit-sensing girl who is kind to both humans and spirits.”

The story follows Amami Hibiki, a girl who can see and communicate with the supernatural and talk to animals as well. Her special abilities fill her and her friend’s days with fun, new perspectives, and maybe even horror!

The cast is as follows:

Kido Ibuki (Rinka in Tokyo ESP) as Amami Hibiki, a polite and relaxed girl who often worries about others around her more than she worries about herself. She can see and communicate with the supernatural!

Itou Miku (Usami Nanako in Locodol) as Inoue Narumi, Amami’s classmate and friend who hates ghosts and scary stories.

Iida Riho (Rin in Love Live! School Idol Project) as Uehara Kana, a popular blogger who is very curious about Amami’s ability.

M.A.O (Mikoto in Ore Twintails ni Narimasu) as Esumi Kyouko, Uehara’s childhood friend and also a former delinquent. Even so, she’s very caring and compassionate.

Yamazaki Eri (Roboko in Sekai Seifuku Bouryaku no Zvezda) as Ogawa, a bright but airheaded person who is a girl… maybe…

Second Kiniro Mosaic 2nd Season Promotional Video Reveals April 2015 Air Date

The second promotional video has been streamed online for Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic, the second season of the anime adaptation of Yui Hara’s Kiniro Mosaic manga. This video reintroduces the characters of the series and reveals that the anime will be airing from April 2015. The main cast returns for the anime; Asuka Nishi (Hakata Kanamori from Ebiten: Kouritsu Ebisugawa Koukou Tenmonbu) as Shinobu Omiya, Manami Tanaka (Neko Miyabi in Sakura Taisen: Kanadegumi) as Alice Cartelet, Nao Touyama (Kanon Nakagawa in The World God Only Knows) as Karen Kujou, Risa Taneda (Mirai Kuriyama from Kyoukai no Kanata) as Aya Komichi, and Yumi Uchiyama (Nagisa Tennouji from A-Channel) as Yoko Inokuma. First Ore Monogatari!! Promotional Video Streamed

The first promotional video streamed online from Comiket 87 for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Kazune Kawahara and Aruko’s Ore Monogatari!! (My Love Story!!) manga. This video introduces the main characters of the upcoming series.

The Ore Monogatari!! TV anime adaptation will air from April in the Spring 2015 anime season on NTV.

Ore Monogatari!! was first released by Kawahara the October 2011 issue of Bessatsu Margaret, a popular shoujo manga magazine. The original 100-page version of the story started off as a one-shot, but then returned to Bessatsu Margaret as a serialized work. Shueisha recently published the seventh compiled book volume in November 2014. The series won the Best Shoujo Manga award at the 37th Kodansha Manga Awards ceremony last year. It also received a crossover with Komi Naoshi’s hit manga Nisekoi.

Grisaia Sequel Visual Novels Get TV Anime

It has been revealed in the newest issue of Mag Garden’s Comic Garden magazine that there will be a new anime adaptation being produced for the remainder of Front Wing’s Grisaia visual novels. The Grisaia no Meikyuu (The Labyrinth of Grisaia) and Grisaia no Rakuen (The Eden of Grisaia) visual novels will be adapted and will air from late March next year, with a 1 hour special.

The upcoming anime series will cover Grisaia no Meikyuu, which is a sequel to Grisaia no Kajitsu (The Fruit of the Grisaia) and continues all of the routes from the parent game. The game also explores a bit of the protagonist’s past. Grisaia no Rakuen continues on from the main canon ending of Meikyuu and is the final chapter in the Grisaia visual novel trilogy. The game also has prologue sequences for the main female characters of the series. The visual novels have been recently part of a kickstarter by Sekai Project, which was successful.

The Grisaia no Kajitsu anime aired from October this year and will end on December 28 The first Blu-ray and DVD release of the anime just released on Christmas, and we will have a comparison soon.

Grisaia no Kajitsu: Le Fruit De La Grisaia is a visual novel by Front Wing that originally released on February 15 2011 for Windows. The novel features character designs from Akio Watanabe and Fumio (Tomoyo After ~It’s a Wonderful Life~), scenarios written by Nachi Kio, Ryuta Fujisaki, Yoshigazu Kuwashima, and Kazuya, with Elements Garden (Mouretsu Pirates) composing the music. The visual novel won the 2011 Moe Game Awards grand prize, as well as various other awards for its scenario and music. Two sequels followed the release of the first, in 2012 and in 2013. The first novel was ported to the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita last year. Additionally, a manga adaptation began serialization last February.

Here is a synopsis of Grisaia no Kajitsu from Haruhichan:

Mihama Academy—on the surface, a closed learning environment established to nurture students who find themselves at odds with the world around them; in actuality, an orchard-cum-prison built to preserve fruit that has fallen too far from its tree.

Whatever the circumstances behind its establishment, Mihama Academy is at present home to five female students, all with their own reasons for “enrollment.” For better or worse, each girl has established a routine obliging of her current situation; life moves at an idle, yet accommodating pace within the walls of Mihama.

Yet with the arrival of the institute’s first male student, the nearly preposterously opaque Kazami Yuuji, the students at Mihama begin to fall out of step with their predetermined rhythms. Will Yuuji prove to be the element the girls around him needed to take hold of their lives once more, or will the weight of their pasts prove too steep a wall to overcome?

And in the first place, just who is Kazami Yuuji? The sequel anime of Grisaia no Kajitsu will be covering Grisaia no Meikyuu and Grisaia no Rakuen and will be airing from the end of March on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS11, and AT-X. The first episode of the anime will be a 1 hour special.
