Psycho-Pass RE:Start Episode 4 Cancelled Due to Similar Murder Case That Occurred

New information and images have just launched for the upcoming anime adaptation of Iwaki Hitoshi’s 1990 horror manga Parasyte (Kisejuu). Mantan Web has revealed the cast, the production crew, a new visual and many character designs of the upcoming Fall/Autumn 2014 anime, which will be animated by Madhouse. The anime’s full title has also been revealed: Parasyte: Probability of Survival (Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu).

The anime’s main cast has been revealed as well as the characters’ character designs. They are as follows:

Nobunaga Shimazaki (Haruka Nanase in Free!) will voice the main character Shinichi Izumi

Kana Hanazawa (Mayuri Shiina in Steins;Gate) as Satomi Murano

Aya Hirano (Haruhi Suzumiya in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) will be voicing the parasite Migi

In addition to the TV anime series, there will also be two live action films produced by Toho. The first film will release in Japan on November 29 and the second film will release next year. The first trailer of the film released earlier in the month.

Parasyte, known as Kiseijuu in Japan, is a manga by Hitoshi Iwaaki that serialized from 1990 to 1995 in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine. The manga was very popular and well received, selling over 11 million copies to date, with a total of 10 volumes. The manga also won the Kodansha Manga Award in 1993. Tokyopop, known as MixxZine in the 1990s, published the manga in North America until 2005, where Del Rey Manga picked up publishing rights.

Here is a synopsis of the manga from Haruhichan:

They arrive in silence and darkness. They descend from the skies. They have a hunger for human flesh. They are everywhere. They are parasites, alien creatures who must invade–and take control of–a human host to survive. Mera Mera no Mi Life-Sized Replica from One Piece

Bandai Shokugan have revealed a life-sized replica of the Mera Mera no Mi (Flame-Flame Fruit) from the One Piece anime/manga series. The Logia-type Devil Fruit was eaten by Portgas D. Ace, which gave him his fire manipulation powers.

The life-sized replica of the Mera Mera no Mi (Flame-Flame Fruit) is just a fictional item and is made from PVC and paint. If you’re tempted to try and eat it to gain the Logia-type powers, the toy also comes with a piece of gum you can enjoy.

The item measures approximately 150 mm (about 5.9 in) in diameter, making it roughly the size of a cantaloupe. It costs 3,240 yen (about US$31.73) after tax, and will ship in December.

Video: Naruto Shippuuden Movie 7 the Last Trailer

The trailer for the upcoming Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 7 – The Last has been released. It’s a 15-seconds trailer of the upcoming movie starting with various manga-like drawings of the Leaf Ninja and at the end we get to see the more mature design of Naruto animated.

Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 7 – The Last will open in theaters across Japan on December 6. It will be the first Naruto Shippuuden film in two years, and it is part of the larger “Naruto Shin Jidai Kaimaku Project” (Naruto’s New Era Opening Project) marking the 15th anniversary of the original manga.

Manga creator Masashi Kishimoto is credited with the original story, character designs, and chief story supervisor of the film. In particular, he is drawing new designs for the title character in the movie. The magazine notes for one set of designs, titled “Ramen Ichiraku”: “Naruto’s body is very toned, his hair is cut short, and his expression is one of an adult.”

A 15-second version of the movie’s teaser trailer will air during the Naruto Shippuuden television anime’s broadcast on July 31. Then, the full version will start running in theaters on August 1. In addition, a Naruto exhibition will open in Japan next year.

The reveal of the film comes after a teaser posted on the Weekly Shonen Jump website last week, where it was revealed an important announcement was to be made this week.

Fairy Tail Gets Two New Manga Spinoffs

This year’s 31st issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine will be announcing on Wednesday that Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail manga is inspiring two new spinoff series. Boku is drawing the Fairy Girls manga, while Rui Watanabe is drawing the Fairy Tail Blue Mistral manga.

The Fairy Girls story will focus on the two “strongest girls in the world.” The series will launch in this year’s 12th issue of Kodansha’s Magazine Special on November 20.

In Fairy Tail Blue Mistral, Wendy — as a 12-year-old magical girl — will face the secrets of the dragon valley. Weekly Shonen Magazine also hints that Wendy may find love in this “Episode #0” story. The manga will launch in the September issue of Kodansha’s shoujo magazine Nakayoshi on August 2.

The first issue of the Monthly Fairy Tail magazine shipped on June 17 with a Fairy Tail Zero spinoff manga centering on the original Master Mavis. Four special one-shot manga chapters also ran in four Kodansha magazines this spring.

Fairy Tail is a manga series created by Hiro Mashima in 2006, being his second major publication after RAVE. An anime adaptation was then started airing in 2009 and ended on March 30 2013 by studio A-1 Pictures. Over the last few years, the series has grown in popularity, being the fourth highest selling manga in 2011. 7 OVAs have been released thus far and a feature film, Fairy Tail: Houou no Miko, that released in August last year. The manga itself is currently passed its 42nd volume, which released earlier this month. A continuation of the anime, Fairy Tail 2014 launched earlier this month with largely the same production and cast.

Grisaia no Kajitsu Anime Cast, Visual, Character Design, Opening & Ending Artists Revealed

The official website for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Grisaia no Kajitsu adult PC game has revealed lots of new information about the upcoming anime series that will debut this October and air throughout the fall 2014 anime season. Additionally, the first key visual of the anime has been released.

The anime’s cast was revealed on the website, as well as the debut character designs and bios. The game features the return of the cast from the PSP version of the game that released last year. The main cast includes:

Takahiro Sakurai (Shougo Makishima in Psycho-Pass) voicing as Yuuji Kazami – the male protagonist. A foreign exchange student who transfers to Mihama Academy, his sister died in an accident when he was young, and his parents have also passed away. He has a very callm personality, but sometimes the things he says that seem out of place make him stand out.
Hiroko Taguchi (Miyako Miyamura in ef: A Tale of Memories.) will voice Amane Suou – a reliable young woman who often looks after others and is adored by those younger than herself. Also, she has beautiful proportions that have the ability to steal anyone’s glance. In addition to being skilled at cooking, she has a tendency to dote on Yūji.

Ryouko Tanaka (Yuiko Kurugaya from Little Busters!) who will voice Yumiko Sakaki – the daughter of the headmaster of Mihama Academy. Yumiko holds a great importance on her own time and space, and hates those who ruin those for her. She is very wary of other people, and she will sometimes act outside of common sense.

Kaori Mizuhashi (Mami Tomoe from Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica) as Michiru Matsushima – a girl who tries to be a tsundere (someone acting stand-offish, but is actually sweet) so much that she even dyed her hair blonde. Michiru herself thinks that she plays the part perfectly, but everyone around her already knows it’s an act. For some reason, she always carries around ramune candies with her.

Tomoe Tamiyasu (Rin Natsume from Little Busters!) voicing Makina Irisu – a girl who opens up her heart to those she has spent quite a bit of time with. After she gets accustomed to Yūji, she begins to call him “big brother.” She is usually in Amane’s room, and it appears Amane is taking care of her.

Ai Shimizu (Mio Kisaki from Walkure Romanze) who voices Sachi Komine – a strange girl who wears maid clothes as her casual outfit. She is a class committee member, and takes on any request anyone gives her. She never catches on to jokes, and takes everything seriously

The anime’s website also revealed the artists that will be performing the series’ Opening and Ending themes. The Opening theme will be performed by Maon Kurosaki (Highschool of the Dead ED) and the Ending theme will be performed by Yoshino Nanjou (Love Live! School Idol Project OP and ED).

Fans of Kantai Collection and figurines rejoice because the amazing team over at E2046 have revealed their attention conquering figurine of Shimakaze and her turret-friend, Rensouhou. Fans and collectors should act quickly if they want this cute pair because there’s a limited supply and they’re bound to go quickly.

For those who don’t know, Kantai Collection is a Japanese free-to-play online card game that features naval battleships that participated in World War II. These ships are given a personality, a cute appearance and are always female.

This lovely blond flat chested destroyer is equipped with extremely revealing yet adorable clothing and weapons. All of her wear and accessories stay true to the original source material and follow a theme of cuteness with the exception of her underwear and skirt; these two articles of clothing are revealing and have a different appeal. A sense of sexiness lies underneath the prominent cuteness, which can be largely credited to the lack of length of her skirt. The mixture of cuteness and sexiness gives a sense of youth and maturity.

There’s much more to appreciate and more to take in as you glance over it. From her headgear to her feet, everything is flawlessly painted and detailed.

Needless to say, things get a lot lewder from this angle. However, we’re able to get a good look at her base. The ship (base) lacks no details and it doesn’t take any attention away from Shimakaze.

According to the 18th volume of manga Junjou Romantica, a third season of the anime has been decided. More information will be announced at a later time.

Junjou Romantica began airing on April 11, 2008 to June 27, 2008. The second season titled Junjou Romantica 2 began airing on October 12, 2008 to December 28, 2008. An OVA titled Junjou Romantica OVA was released around Christmas 2012.

‘Sabagebu!’ OVA Announced

Hidekichi Matsumoto’s official Sabagebu! twitter has announced that the anime series will be getting an OVA. The episode will consist of 10 mintutes titled “Sabagebu: Soshite Dareka Inakunatta” and will be bundled in the Volume 1 BD.

The september issue of Megami magazine has unveiled a new visual and set of character designs for 8-Bit’s anime adaptation of Front Wing’s visual novel Grisaia no Kajitsu, which will be airing this October.

A brand new visual has released that features Yumiko Sakaki, Michiru Matsushima and Amane Suou in their lingerie attire. And the first new character designs have released for the anime that features Amane Suou, Yumiko Sakaki, Sachi Komine, Makina Irisu and Michiru Matsushima.

‘Nobunaga Concerto’ to Receive OVA

Amazon Japan lists that Nobunaga Concerto’s 11th volume of the manga will bundle an OVA titled “Nobunaga Concerto: Shuugaku Ryokou IN Kyoto-hen” and will be released on September 12, 2014.

The TV anime of Ayumi Ishii’s manga Nobunaga Concerto started airing on July12 and is currently airing during the summer 2014 anime season.

The official website of Naruto Shippuuden Movie 7 The Last has released some new visuals and character designs for the recently announced film, which will release on December 6 in Japan this year.

The newest key visual has been released for Naruto Shippuuden Movie 7 The Last, the 10th overall movie in the Naruto franchise, following the three Naruto films and the sixth Naruto Shippuden films. The film will be releasing on December 6 this year.

The website has also released two new character designs for Naruto, who appears to have a more mature design. The characters themselves are designed by Masashi Kishimoto, the manga’s creator who will have a larger role in the film’s production, being credited with the original story, character designs and chief story supervisor.

The upcoming 2014 movie will be part of a new greater project in celebration of the 15th anniversary of Naruto. The project itself is the Naruto Shin Jidai Kaimaku Project (Naruto’s New Era Opening Project) and includes a Naruto Exhibition that will open in Japan early next year. The first teaser for the film will release in the upcoming episode of Naruto Shippuden, where it will be followed by the first full trailer that will screen in Japanese theatres from August 1st.

Naruto is an original manga series created by Masashi Kishimoto. The manga began in 1999 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, where to date a total of 69 volumes have released. Since its debut the manga has sold over 130 million copies in Japan alone. The series has also received two TV anime series adaptation, covering the manga’s two parts: Naruto and Naruto Shippuden in 2002 and 2007 respectively. Both series were produced by Studio Pierrot. Additionally, a total of 9 anime films have released to date and numerous OVAs and specials. A light novel spin-off was produced by Masatoshi Kusakabe and released in 2002. Today, the franchise is one of Japan’s most renowned and one of the most popular anime/manga series outside of Japan.

Here is a synopsis of the original series:

Naruto Uzumaki, a hyperactive and knuckle-headed ninja, lives in Konohagakure, the Hidden Leaf village. Moments prior to his birth, a huge demon known as the Kyuubi, the Nine-tailed Fox, attacked Konohagakure and wreaked havoc. In order to put an end to the Kyuubi’s rampage, the leader of the village, the 4th Hokage, sacrificed his life and sealed the monstrous beast inside the newborn Naruto. Shunned because of the presence of the Kyuubi inside him, Naruto struggles to find his place in the village. He strives to become the Hokage of Konohagakure, and he meets many friends and foes along the way.

Naruto Shippuuden Movie 7 The Last will air in Japanese theatres on December 6, during the Winter 2014/2015 anime season. Additional information about the film will release on the website and in future issues of Weekly Shonen Jump.

Wonder Festival 2014 Summer Part 2

Wonder Festival 2014 Summer is here and that means cute plastic PVC girls and guys. Had to make a new post because of the image cap limit per post. Part 1 can be viewed here.

There’s new figures from currently airing anime and anime to air soon and even some figures from older series. This is day one and I’ve collected all of these images by lurking the net, if you’re a buyer of goods this festival will set how you spend your disposable income for the next 6 months or so.

The Tokyo Wonder Festival (ワンダーフェスティバル), or Wonfes (ワンフェス wanfesu?) for short, is a bi-annual event held in the Makuhari Messe, in Chiba, Japan. The main focus is to display and sell “garage kits”, which are sculptures that usually replicate anime and game characters, but also popular mecha/sci-fi characters and creatures. These models are extremely detail oriented, and many of these sculptures appear in very small quantities due to the amateur nature of their reproduction. Unusually skilled artisans are promoted specifically during the “wonder showcase” (WSC), in which their works are given special attention and limited quantities of their masterpieces are sold for high prices to avid collectors. Video: Terra Formars OVA Trailer

A trailer has been released for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Yu Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana’s manga Terra Formars. The Terra Formars OVA trailer covers the first arc of the series, the Bugs 2 Arc, and will be bundled with the 10th and 11th volumes of the manga. They will be out in August 19 and November 19 respectively and will cost ¥1,980 (~ $19.80 USD). The televised anime itself will cover the Annex 1 Arc, which is set 20 years after the OVA.

Terra Formars is an original manga written by Yu Sasuga and illustrated by Kenichi Tachibana. The series was first published in 2011 in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine. To date the series has 8 volumes published with the 9th volume releasing on May 19th. The manga ranked 1st in Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Top 20 Manga for Male Readers guidebook, with over 6 million copies in print. A TV anime and OVA were announced in February this year. The OVA will handle the first arc in the series, the Bugs 2 Arc, and the anime series will continue with the Annex 1 arc.

With the space program attempting to travel to Mars, 21st century scientists were tasked with warming up the planet so that humans could survive on its surface. They came up with an efficient and cost-effective plan of sending cockroaches and mold to the surface so that the mold would absorb the sunlight and the insect corpses would serve as a food source for the mold.

It is now the year 2577 and the first manned ship to Mars has landed on the planet and the six crew members are ready for their mission. But what they find are giant mutated humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical strength. The crew members are easily wiped out, but not before sending a transmission back to Earth. Now, humanity will send elite warriors to exterminate the mutated bugs and claim back Mars.

The Terra Formars anime series will be airing this October in the Fall/Autumn 2014 anime season. The two prequel OVAs will be bundled in the 10th and 11th manga volumes, which will be out in August and November respectively. More information about both anime adaptations is expected to release in the upcoming weeks.

Fate/stay Night Heaven’s Feel Movie Announced

Not only do we get a new adaptation of Fate/Stay Night which will be airing this October, during the fall 2014 anime season. It has been confirmed we will be getting a Fate/Stay Night Heaven’s Feel Movie and you can view the promotional video below. The movie will be based on Sakura Matou’s route from the Fate/stay night visual novel.

Heaven’s Feel is one of the routes in Fate/stay night. The heroine of this route is Sakura Matou. Heaven’s Feel is the third and final route the player will be able to play through in Fate/stay night. It can be accessed after the first two routes, Fate and Unlimited Blade Works, have been completed. – Type moon wikia
