Halloween Themed Eli Ayase Figure Goes up for Preorder

The official Twitter account for the upcoming anime adaptation of Capcom’s Ace Attorney (Gyakuten Saiban) series has revealed that the series will debut on April 2. The adaptation of Capcom’s trial game series will run on YTV Saturdays at 17:30 starting in April.

The first members of the anime’s cast has been revealed. The cast will be different from the voice actors and actresses in the video games. They include:

Yuki Kaji (Meliodas from Nanatsu no Taizai) will voice Ryuuichi Naruhodou
Aoi Yuuki (Tatsumaki from One Punch Man) as Mayoi Ayasato
Masashi Tamaki (Reiji Aoi from Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo Returns) as Reiji Mitsuruji
Chie Nakamura (Sakura Haruno from Naruto) as Chihiro Ayasato
Masami Iwasaki (Takayama from Asylum Session) as Keisuke Itonokogiri
Tooru Nara (Yuusei Nishida from Chihayafuru) as Masashi Yahari

A visual for the anime was also unveiled:

Ace Attorney (Gyakuten Saiban) is a series of adventure and visual novel-esque video games developed by Capcom. First developed in 2001 for the Gameboy Advance, the game involves players playing as defense attorney Phoenix Wright. The game revolves around two segments, trial and investigation, where players will have to try and examine all the clues, witnesses and come up with a conclusion. Since the first game, a total of 9 games have been released, with the latest being The Great Ace Attorney for the 3DS.

The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney anime will be airing in April 2016, throughout the Spring 2016 anime season. Additional information about the anime will be revealed at a later date.

It has been collected in three tankobon volumes as of March 2014. An anime television series adaptation by White Fox aired in Japan between April and June 2014. The second season is currently airing.

Cocoa arrives at the cafe Rabbit House one day, excited for rabbits. She actually all but lives in that cafe. She meets lots of different girls there, including a tiny and cool girl named Chino, a tough and soldier-esque girl named Rize, a spacey and quintessentially Japanese girl named Chiyo, and the ordinary but dignified Sharo.

Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow

Bandai Visual began streaming the first 10-minutes of the fifth and final episode of the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled series, on Saturday.

Naruto Shinden is a light novel series which was released from September to November 2015.

The series consists of two instalments. Itachi Shinden deals with Itachi’s childhood as a shinobi of the Uchiha clan, his relationship to Shisui Uchiha and finally the downfall of his clan and how Itachi joined Akatsuki. Sasuke Shinden takes place after Akatsuki Hiden: Evil Flowers in Full Bloom and is about Sasuke’s travels to find out more about Kaguya Otsutsuki.

Itachi Shinden consists of two novels: The first being the Book of Bright Light, which was released on September 4, 2015. The second novel, the Book of Dark Night, which was released on October 2, 2015.

Sasuke Shinden consists of only one novel, the Book of Sunrise which was released on November 4, 2015.

FREEing’s New Snow Miku Figure Is Larger than Life

Figure company FREEing has announced the start of pre-orders for their latest figure, a 1/4th scale of Hatsune Miku’s Winter version. The figure is modeled after their previous 1/4th scale Hatsune Miku V3, which was released in November of last year. Along with a modified color scheme, various snowflakes have been added onto her outfit to give off a snowy, wintry feeling. Her pose has also been altered slightly, her hand now held up to hold in it a delicate snowflake, and her mouth open in a slight smile.

At 1/4th scale, Snow Miku measures at a massive 42cm (16.5in), and was sculpted by the ever-talented Hiroshi from Sakura Zensen, most known for his beautiful Fate/Extra CCC 1/8th scale Saber Bride released by Meticom Toy.

New Macross Delta Anime Visual Revealed

The official website of the Macross franchise revealed a new visual for the upcoming Macross Delta anime. It was also revealed that the series will premiere on all Mainichi Broadcasting System stations in Japan on April 2016.

The website also unveiled a new visual recently which reveals the project’s logo, two fighters, and the catch phrase “Gekitsui se yo” (Shoot [it] down).

The anime’s site has three brand new visuals that introduce the two leading factions of the series. The visual above features new fighters that are called Valkyries. The next visual features the 5 members of the Tactical Sound Unit Walkure, which are composed of idols.

They will be up against the 5 members of the Aerial Knights Valkyrie team from the Kingdom of Wind.

The first cast member of the anime has been revealed. A competition was held late last year by the anime’s staff in a set of singing auditions. Eventually, Minori Suzuki won the singing competition and will voice Freyja Wion in the upcoming series as her debut anime role.

Macross is a Sci-Fi mecha franchise created by Shoji Kawamori in 1982. The franchise began as a TV anime series in 1982 as Super Dimension Fortress Macross, produced by Studio Nue (Dirty Pair, Space Battleship Yamato) and running for 36 episodes. The anime itself was localised to North American audiences in the following, as part of the first entry in Robotech. Since its initial series, there has been two additional anime series: Macross 7 in 1994 and Macross Frontier in 2008, alongside various OVAs, anime films and accompanying manga and video game adaptations. The most recent anime of Macross was the second Macross Frontier film that released in 2012, Macross FB7: Ore no Uta wo Kike!

Here is the synopsis of the original 1982 Macross anime:

In 1999, an alien ship crashes on South Atalia Island and makes the human race aware of other life in space. Ten years later, the ship is reconstructed and christened as the SDF-1 Macross. However, on the day of its maiden voyage, an alien race called the Zentraedi make their appearance on Earth, beginning the UN Spacy/Zentraedi war that would change the history of both races forever.

2016 D.Gray-Man Anime Allen Walker Character Designs Revealed

Allen Walker’s character design for the upcoming 2016 D.Gray-man anime adaptation has been revealed in the 3rd issue of Jump SQ. 2016.

In addition to this, it has been revealed that a pin-up of the series will be included in the March 2016 issue of Animedia.

Earlier this year to celebrate the New Year, the official Twitter account released a set of social media icons.

D.Gray-Man creator Katsura Hoshino went on her Instagram to thank fans about the recent announcement for theupcoming 2016 anime adaptation of the series. She mentions that the new series will be a continuation of the story.

Despite Hoshino’s comment about the new series being a continuation, the anime’s official website and Twitter have yet to make any confirmations about the news. Here is Hoshino’s full comment on Instagram:

Thanks to everyone who went to the D.Gray-man stage today. As was said in the announcement, a new series has been green-lit. Because the staff will be completely different, the story will be a continuation, but I think it will become a completely new D.Gray-man anime. Thank you for everyone who’s supported me until now.

The website and event has revealed that the upcoming anime will have an entirely new cast than the previous 2005 anime. The two cast members that have been revealed are:

Ayumu Murase (Shouyou Hinata from Haikyuu!!) will voice Allen
Shinnosuke Tachibana (Tomoe from Kamisama Hajimemashita) as Howard Link

The anime’s website has also revealed that TMS Entertainment (Yowamushi Pedal, Detective Conan) will return to animate the series.

D.Gray-man is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Katsura Hoshino. The series tells the story of a boy named Allen Walker, a member of an organization of Exorcists who make use of an ancient substance called Innocence to combat the Millennium Earl and his demonic army of Akuma. Many characters and their designs were adapted from some of Katsura Hoshino’s previous works and drafts, such as Zone.

The manga began serialization in 2004 in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, published by Shueisha. It made the transition from a weekly to a monthly series in November 2009, when it began serialization in Jump SQ until December 29, 2012, where the series went on an indefinite hiatus. The series began serialization again on July 17, 2015 in a spin-off magazine of Jump Square, Jump SQ.Crown. There is also a spin-off novel series titled D.Gray-man Reverse, authored by Kaya Kizaki, that explores the history of various characters. As of August 5, 2014, Viz Media has released 24 volumes in the United States. The manga has also been adapted into a 103-episode anime series that aired from October 3, 2006 to September 30, 2008 in Japan. The anime is licensed by Funimation Entertainment in North America. Several related items of merchandise have also been produced.

Toward the end of the 19th century, Allen Walker officially joins the organization of Exorcists that destroy the beings known as Akuma; mechanic weapons made by the Millennium Earl with the suffering souls of the dead. Allen has both a cursed eye and an anti-Akuma weapon as an arm, bearing the power of “Innocence,” a gift given to him as an apostle of God. Allen, along with his fellow Exorcists must put a stop to the Millennium Earl’s ultimate plot that could lead to the destruction of the world and all who live on it.

One Punch-Man OVA 4 Preview Video Streamed

The official website for the anime adaptation of ONE and Yuusuke Murata’s One Punch-Man manga has revealed that the fourth volume is set to be released in Japan on March 25th with episodes seven and eight, commentary on the latter by Makoto Furukawa’s Saitama, Yuki Kaji’s Sonic and Masaya Onosaka’s Pri-Pri-Prisoner, mini-audio drama with Furukawa and Handsomely Masked Sweet Mask’s Mamoru Miyano, Miyano on character song “Beautiful Hero” and OVA 4 “Bang, Who is Too Overbearing,” written by series creator ONE.

The official website for the anime adaptation of ONE and Yuusuke Murata’s One Punch-Man manga has revealed that the third volume will ship on February 24th with episodes 5 and 6, commentary by Saitama’s Makoto Furukawa, Genos’ Kaito Ishikawa, and Sonic’s Yuki Kaji, a CD featuring the three in “Fastest, Strong Ninja Emakimono Gaiden” and Yuki Kaji singing a traditional Ondo song as Sonic, plus a Kojire-sugiru Ninja (The Ninja Who is Too Complicated) OVA in which Sonic escapes into the mountains for training to forget the nightmare of his defeat (and the strike to his groin).

The first 12-minute OVA, titled “Shinobiyori Sugiru Kage” (A Shadow That Snuck Up Too Close), features a completely original story written by the manga’s original author ONE. The OVA takes place after Saitama’s fight with Mosquito Girl, and it follows Genos as he is persistently and suspiciously prowling after Saitama trying to find out the secret of his strength. Additionally, a mysterious person appears who has a “certain reason” to hold a grudge against Saitama. The OVA will be included on the television anime’s first Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume on December 24.

The second 11-minute OVA, titled “Hanashibeta-sugiru Deshi” (The Pupil Who Is an Extremely Poor Talker), also features a completely original story written by the manga’s original author ONE. In this episode, Genos deals with Don Pacino’s Mafia gang, even as he goes bargain-shopping for Saitama. This episode will be included on the television anime’s second Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume on January 29.

There will be a total of 6 OVAs for the One Punch-Man anime that will be bundled with each volume, each lasting approximately 10 minutes. All the OVAs feature original stories written by ONE himself. The 6 OVAs are:

One Punch-Man is an action, comedy, parody manga written by ONE and illustrated by Yuusuke Murata. The series began in 2009 as a free online web comic written by ONE, before being picked up by Shueisha and being featured in their Young Jump magazine publication in mid 2012, with Murata illustrating. To date, a total of 7 compiled volumes have been released with the 8th volume releasing on April 3rd. The series has become a phenomenon in Japan, selling over 4.5 million copies as of November last year, doubling its sales in one year.

The official website for upcoming original TV anime Qualidea Code has revealed additional cast members. The series follows children of Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Chiba as they fight to defend their cities from unknown invaders.

Soma Saito (Tatsumi from Akame ga Kill!) will voice Ichiya Suzaku
Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman from Shingeki no Kyojin) as Canaria Utara

The previously announced cast include:

Aoi Yuuki (Madoka Kaname from Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica) will voice Maihime Tenkawa
Ayaka Fukuhara (Rin Shibuya from The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls) as Hotaru Rindou

Qualidea Code is a Japanese multimedia project co-published by Shueisha’s Dash X Bunko imprint, Fujimi Shobo’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint, Media Factory’s MF Bunko J imprint, Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko imprint, and Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine.
