The latest issue of Animedia has revealed the first cast members of the upcoming anime adaptation of Last Note.’s Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku (Mikagura School Suite) light novel series.

The main cast of the upcoming anime and which characters they will be voicing were revealed and includes:

Juri Kimura (Aoi Miyamori from Shirobako) will voice Eruna Ichinomiya
Ari Ozawa (Chiyo Sakura in Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun) is voicing Otone Fujishiro
Ayaka Suwa (Tokaku Azuma from Akuma no Riddle) voices Himi Yasaka
Nobunaga Shimazaki (Haruka Nanase in Free!) as Shigure Ninomiya
Saori Oonishi (La Folia Rihavein in Strike the Blood) will voice the role of Seisa Mikagura
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito in Sword Art Online’) is playing as Bimmy

The Vocaloid composer, Last Note., began his light novel series on July 24, 2013 with Akina being the illustrator. It has also a shoujo manga series that was serialized in Comic Gene magazine. The manga started few days before the light novel, July 13, 2013. The light novel currently has four volumes while the manga has three compiled volumes. The fourth light novel volume was published on July 25, 2014 while the third compiled manga volume was released on September 27, 2014.

Synopsis of Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku‘s manga from Haruhichan:

A story based on the super popular song series from NND. Eruna Ichinomiya, a freshman who dreamed of a school life filled with cuteness, entered a boarding school—Mikagura Private School. In this school, each of the cultural club representatives have to battle each other, with unique powers…!! What will happen to Eruna, who somehow ended up becoming the representative of a certain club?!

The Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku anime will be airing this April during the Spring 2015 Anime Season. More information about the series will be revealed in the upcoming days.

Love Live! School Idol Project Movie Tickets Selling and New Commercial Aired

On February 8th, 2015, Lantis began streaming a new short TV commercial for the upcoming Love Live! School Idol Project Movie to promote the movie and to commemorate the release of the pre-reservation tickets. The movie will release on June 13th of 2015.

The premier pre-reservation tickets for the movie went on sale on January 7th, 2015. The first round of special pre-reservation tickets each have one of ten special illustrations on both the ticket, as well as a bonus clear file folder for keeping the ticket safe. They have been selling rapidly at various Japanese movie theaters.

The story of the film begins after the events of the second season, at the graduation ceremony of the third-year students. Knowing that the graduation of the third-year members means the end of μ’s, the nine girls take a walk around the school filled with memories. However, when the students attempt to leave the school gates, a single email is sent to them, and the curtain on a new story for μ’s begins.

Love Live! School Idol Project is an original anime produced by Sunrise studios that aired in January 2013. The conception of the anime project was started in 2010 by Dengeki G’s Magazine. The editors wanted parts of the project to be heavily influenced by fans, parts such as the costumes, hairstyles and names of the idols. While this project was taking place, a manga of the project called Love Live!, written and illustrated by Sakurako Kimino and Arumi Tokita, began serializing. An anime series soon premiered, followed by an app and an OVA. The second season titled Love Live! School Idol Project 2nd Season aired from April 6, 2014 to June 29, 2014 for a total of 13 episodes.

Otonokizaka High School stands on the border of three cities: Akihabara—a pop culture mecca that’s evolving by the minute; Kanda—a conservative, cultured city where history and tradition reign supreme; and Jinbo—a quiet area reserved for a more mature, sophisticated population. Amidst this culture clash, the school now faces closure due to the enrollment of fewer and fewer students.

Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? Themed Laptops and Tablets Go on Sale

With the second season of Koi’s 4-panel comedy manga series Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? confirmed last month, Osaka-based PC retailer Unitcom is joining the hype by announcing their new line of goods which include the girls from the series.

The commercial shows us the goods that online store Pasocon Koubou are selling, three laptops with 15.6-Inch display and two tablets with 8 and 10.1-Inch display:

All of the models contain newly-recorded system voices by the five main girls of the anime series: Kokoa Hoto (CV: Ayane Sakura), Chino Kafuu (CV: Inori Minase), Rize Tedeza (CV: Risa Taneda), Chiya Ujimatsu (CV: Satomi Sato) and Sharo Kirima (CV: Maaya Uchida). The scheduled delivery date is in the middle of April.

Second Suisei no Gargantia: Meguru Kouro, Haruka OVA Trailer

The official website for Suisei no Gargantia anime has released the first trailer for the upcoming theatrical release of the second part in the two-part Suisei no Gargantia: Meguru Kouro, Haruka OVA (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet OVA) has been uploaded. The second part will conclude Ledo’s story and will be screened at 12 theaters across Japan from April 4th.

Advance tickets are now available for ¥1,200 ($10) , which will come with one of three limited autograph boards. There will also be a bundle selling for ¥1,700 ($14.30) that comes with the ticket and a rubber strap of a chibi Ledo.

Suisei no Gargantia is a Japanese anime series produced by Production I.G and directed by Kazuya Murata, and aired between April and June 2013. A manga adaptation began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten’s Newtype Ace magazine in January 2013. The first part of a two-part OVA sequel was screened in Fall 2014 while the second part of the two-part OVA will be screened on April 4th.

Assassination Classroom gets a bit mature this week with episode 4 that introduces the professional hitman, part-time foreign language teacher, Irina Jelavić (voiced by Shizuka Ito, the new Sailor Venus, TerraFormars‘ Michelle K. Davis), who also happens to go by the name Bitch-sensei.

Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yusei Matsui. It follows the daily lives of an extremely powerful octopus-like teacher and his students dedicated to the task of assassinating him to prevent Earth from being destroyed.

Individual chapters have been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2012, and are collected into tankoubon volumes published by Shueisha. As of July 2014, ten volumes will have been released in Japan with a circulation of ten million copies. An event anime adaptation of Assassination Classroom was screened on the Jump Super Anime Tour from October 6, 2013 to November 24, 2013. The manga has been licensed by Viz Media for an English language North American release, who will release the first volume in December 2014 in both digital and print formats.

A live action film has been announced and an anime series based on the manga is scheduled to premiere on Fuji TV in January 2015. The anime has been licensed by Funimation, who will stream the anime as it airs in Japan on their website.

Vocaloid IA Celebrated Her Brithday by Performing with Jumicchi

On January 24th, 2015, virtual-diva Vocaloid IA celebrated her birthday with a collaboration with Japanese electro duo Jumicchi at the “IA 3 Anniversary Thank you Party – Live & Talk ~” event.

IA is a Japanese Vocaloid developed and distributed by 1st Place Co., Ltd., and was released in January 2012 for the VOCALOID3 engine. Her voice is provided by the Japanese female singer, Lia, known for Tori no Uta which is the opening theme song for Air. IA is also the first VOCALOID3 to top 1 million views on NicoNico Dougo.

Arslan Senki or The Heroic Legend of Arslan is a Japanese fantasy novel series written by Tanaka Yoshiki. Tanaka began writing the series in 1986, and the series is still ongoing as of 2008. There are currently 14 novels and one side story published. It was adapted into a manga by Nakamura Chisato in 1991, but the manga caught up to the novels in 1998 and received an original ending. A First Look at Toaru Majutsu no Index’s Creators Characters

This weekend the 10th anniversary of Kamachi Kazuma, the author of Toaru Majutsu no Index and several other light novel series, debuted in Dengeki Bunko, is celebrated with the publication of crossover light novel Toaru Majutsu no Heavy na Zashiki Warashi ga Kantan na Satsujinki no Konkatsu Jijou (The Circumstance Leading to a Simple Killer Princess’s Marriage Was A Certain Magical Heavy Zashiki Warashi). A manga adaptation of the novel will be introduced on February 12th, in the March issue of Shounen Gangan.

Ryuu Nishino, who did the manga adaptation of Toaru Majutsu no Index’s movie, Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki, will be providing the story for the manga with Hajime Fushimachi handling the illustrating.

Gekko Moriah to Be Playable in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3

In the latest Jump issue it has been revealed that Gekko Moriah will be playable character in the upcoming release of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3. Various gameplay footage including Zoro, Nami, Crocodile, Enel and more was revealed earlier and can be seen here.

Rob Lucci was also announced as a playable character in last month’s Jump.

The game will follow the original story of One Piece and start from Romance Dawn Arc where the story of One Piece first starts from and will follow the Straw Hat Pirates to the Dressrosa Arc, which is about a kingdom called Dressrosa within the New World, and one of the Twenty Kingdoms of the World Government where it is dominated by the evil Donquixote Doflamingo, known as the “Heavenly Demon”.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 will be releasing on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PC in Summer 2015 in North America and Europe. The game will be releasing in Japan on PS3, PS4, and Vita only, and will cost ¥7,800 (~ $78.00 USD) on console and ¥6,800 (~ $68.00 USD) on the Vita.

Ao Haru Ride’s Io Sakisaka to Release New Shoujo Manga Series in June

Just as soon as Io Sakisaka (Strobe Edge, Watashi no Koibito) will be finishing her romantic-drama, shoujo manga series, Ao Haru Ride, on Friday, February 13, 2015, the March issue of Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine will announce on the same day that the manga artist will be starting a new series. The new series will launch in the July issue of the magazine which will be released on June 13, 2015.

Io Sakisaka New Series Announcement_Haruhichan.com_ — Translation: Io Sakisaka’s New Series will be released on June 13.

The magazine will also publish an illustration collection for the manga artist on May 25. It will feature some illustrations from Ao Haru Ride and Strobe Edge.

Sakisaka began publishing Ao Haru Ride under Shueisha’s Margaret Comics label on January 13, 2011. As of December 12, 2014, there are currently 12 compiled manga volumes published. The tenth compiled volume of the manga includes a Drama CD bundle. Volumes 11 and 12 have an original anime DVD included. The 13th and final volume of the manga will be released on May 25, same day as the release of Sakisaka’s featured illustrations.

Synopsis of Ao Haru Ride from Haruhichan:

Yoshioka Futaba has a few reasons why she wants to “reset” her image and life as a new high school student. Because she’s cute, she was ostracized by her female friends in junior high, and because of a misunderstanding, she couldn’t get her feeling across to the one boy she has ever liked, Tanaka-kun.

Now in high school, she is determined to be as unladylike as possible so that her friends won’t be jealous of her. New Visual Released for Nisekoi Season 2

A brand new visual for the second season anime adaptation of Naoshi Komi’s Nisekoi manga has been revealed in the latest issue of Gigazine and Animate TV’s Anime Guide. Nisekoi Season 2 will be airing this April.

The anime’s second season will feature the debut of Haru Onodera, Kosaki Onodera’s younger sister, voiced by Ayane Sakura (Natsumi Koshigaya from Non Non Biyori). The website released the first visual for Haru:

Nisekoi is a manga series that originally started off as a one shot from Naoshi Komi that released in January 2011. Komi then released the manga as a full series later on in the year, when it appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. Since 2011, 12 volumes have been released for the romantic comedy. Additionally a voiced comic has also been published and a light novel series. Viz Manga has also picked up the series late 2013 for English localisation, announcing that the chapters would be translated and released in Viz’s Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha. A anime adaptation of the manga aired from January this year and ended in May. The anime is produced by studio Shaft (Bakemonogatari, Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica).

Nisekoi synopsis from Haruhichan:

“Raku Ichijou is an average high school student. He also happens to be the sole heir to the head of a Yakuza Family called the Shuei-gumi. Ten years ago, Raku made a promise… a secret promise with a girl he met. They promised one another that they will “get married when they reunite.” Since then, Raku never let go of the pendant the girl gave him.

Then one day, a beautiful girl named Chitoge Kirisaki transfers into Raku’s class. Their chemistry was more than off. There was not a moment where they were not fighting. But by a weird turn of events, Raku and Chitoge agree to become fake lovers. Although his heart is really interested in his classmate Kosaki Onodera, Raku must continue pretending to be Chitoge’s boyfriend.”

Honoka Kousaka’s Voice Actor Goes on Hiatus Due to Vocal Cord Polyps

Japanese musical artist talent agency S Inc. revealed on Wednesday that Honoka Kousaka’s voice actor, Emi Nitta, will be taking a break from all work-related activities during February and March due to vocal cord polyps.

The agency noted that up until now, the actress had been continuing work little by little while undergoing treatment, but the doctor has now instructed Emi Nitta to take a break from work in order to fully recover. Various appearances at events by Emi Nitta throughout February and March will be cancelled or delayed due to the hiatus. The actress also apologized for the inconvenience on her Twitter, and assured fans that she will get better.

Emi Nitta debuted as a voice actress in 2010, and just debuted as a solo singer last September with her Egao to Egao de Hajimaru yo! (It Starts With a Smile and a Smile!) CD single. She is from Nagano Prefecture affiliated with the management company S. Ema Nitta is known for her debut role as Honoka Kousaka in the Love Live! School Idol Project franchise, she has also had roles in D.C.III ~Da Capo III~ as Ricca and Tokoha in Cardfight!! Vanguard G. She made an appearance at the Bangkok Comic Con in July 2014.

Ship Girls from KanColle Celebrate Valentines and the Winter Event Is Live

On February 6th, the Japanese free-to-play online card game Kantai Collection launched the major Winter Event, Counter-attack! Assault on Truk Anchorage (basically the Japanese name for Operation Hailstone), which will run for a total of two weeks. In addition to this update, there’s 4 new ships, 2 new enemies, new equipment and a Valetine’s Day update to top it off.

The new ship girls include:

Katori, Katori-class Light Cruiser

Amagi, Unryuu-class Aircraft Carrier

Asashimo, Yuugumo-class Destroyer

U-511 (Designed by Strike Witches‘ Shimada Fumikane), Type IXC U-boat

While the new enemy vessels include:
