Grisaia-no-Kajitsu-Anime-Key-Visual

Grisaia no Kajitsu: Le Fruit De La Grisaia is a visual novel by Front Wing that originally released on February 15 2011 for Windows. The novel features character designs from Akio Watanabe and Fumio (Tomoyo After ~It’s a Wonderful Life~), scenarios written by Nachi Kio, Ryuta Fujisaki, Yoshigazu Kuwashima, and Kazuya, with Elements Garden (Mouretsu Pirates) composing the music. The visual novel won the 2011 Moe Game Awards grand prize, as well as various other awards for its scenario and music. Two sequels followed the release of the first, in 2012 and in 2013. The first novel was ported to the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita last year. Additionally, a manga adaptation began serialization last February.

Here is a synopsis of Grisaia no Kajitsu from Haruhichan:

Mihama Academy—on the surface, a closed learning environment established to nurture students who find themselves at odds with the world around them; in actuality, an orchard-cum-prison built to preserve fruit that has fallen too far from its tree.

Whatever the circumstances behind its establishment, Mihama Academy is at present home to five female students, all with their own reasons for “enrollment.” For better or worse, each girl has established a routine obliging of her current situation; life moves at an idle, yet accommodating pace within the walls of Mihama.

Yet with the arrival of the institute’s first male student, the nearly preposterously opaque Kazami Yuuji, the students at Mihama begin to fall out of step with their predetermined rhythms. Will Yuuji prove to be the element the girls around him needed to take hold of their lives once more, or will the weight of their pasts prove too steep a wall to overcome?

And in the first place, just who is Kazami Yuuji? While the true nature of the “job” he is wont to alight to at the most haphazard of moments remains shrouded in secrecy, one thing is for certain—his encroachment upon the quiet orchard known as Mihama Academy will prove itself momentous in one way or another. And of course, one cannot discount the possibility that perhaps Yuuji himself carries the weightiest past of any of the students…

The Grisaia No Kajitsu anime will debut this October on Tokyo MX, during the 2014 Fall/Autumn anime season.

The next episode to run is 143 on August 19th, final episode to broadcast September 24. The previous adaptation of the series ran from October 16, 1999 to March 31, 2001 and ended with a total of 62 episodes on the Yorknew City arc before a series of 30 OVAs picked it up and adapted the Greed Island story.

Hanamonogatari-Screenshot

The Monogatari series is a collection of light novels, created by Nisio Isin. The novels started in late 2005 and published under Kodansha’s Box imprint, where there has been a total of 16 volumes to date. The 17th volume will release on April 3rd, and the 18th and final volume releasing later this year. Here is the synopsis of Monogatari Series: Second Season:

The bee apparition is now gone, and summer vacation where the phoenix apparition averted harm is over. Around Koyomi Araragi and the girls who started a new trimester, apparitions, or perhaps threats even worse, were creeping in ever closer. Tsubasa Hanekawa, Mayoi Hachikuji, Suruga Kanbaru, Nadeko Sengoku, Shinobu Oshino, and Hitagi Senjogahara. Their soliloquies, confessions—and farewells. 6 new stories are starting now.

Walking to school one day Tsubasa Hanekawa encounters a huge white tiger apparition at a crossroads that talks to her. The next day her house burns down. Homeless, and not wanting to stay with her family, she lies and tells them she has a place to stay, but instead sleeps in the old cram school. She’s awakened by an angry and upset Hitagi Senjogahara who ridicules her for worrying her and drags her to her place to stay instead. The two of them soon discover that Araragi has gone missing and has urged them in a text message not to look for him.

The first episode of Hanamonogatari aired tonight. The series itself will be a 5 episode special and focuses on Suruga Kanbaru.

Recently, many studios have been animating promotional videos for non anime things, like manga, games, clothes, and even food products! Trigger (Tengen Toppa Gurren LagannKill la Kill) has animated a trailer for the upcoming girl focused game, “Hacka Doll.” The game is to be released by DeNa, a Tokyo based company that owns Mobage, one of the most popular cell phone gaming platforms.

“Hacka Doll” is an app that allows for easier access to news and products you may want to see on the internet! When using “Hacka Doll”, your search history and browsing history will be recorded. This allows the app to memorize your habits. “Hacka Doll” will now present you with only the news you’re interested in, filtering out much of the junk news you don’t want to see! The game also includes a leveling system, although details on this have not been released.

Uncensored vs Censored – Akame ga Kill! [NSFW]

22

One of the more anticipated series of the current season is the anime adaptation of Takahiro and Tetsuya Tashiro’s manga Akame ga Kill! from White Fox (Steins;Gate, Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?). A couple of the reasons was due to the dark and brooding story, and the brutality of the world. While the series has garnered positive feedback, some criticisms are held against the censorship of the series since it is airing on Japanese TV. The series is also available on Japan’s largest streaming service Niconico, where it is in fact uncensored. We will be comparing the latest episode between the censored TV broadcast and the uncensored stream.
