It has been revealed that the Comic Market 89 (Comiket 89) event in Tokyo drew approximately 520,000 attendees over the course three days. On the third day on December 31, 2015, it drew approximately 200,000 attendees. Total attendance was down from last winter’s Comiket 87, which attracted 560,000 attendees, and this past summer’s Comiket 88, which had 550,000 total attendees.
Both Comiket 87 and Comiket 88 attracted 210,000 guests on its third day.

It is a grassroots, DIY effort for selling doujinshi, self-published Japanese works. As items sold in Comiket are considered very rare (because doujinshi are seldom reprinted), some items sold at Comiket can be found in shops or on the Internet at prices up to 10 times the item’s original price, and in certain cases, more than 100 times. The continuing operation of Comiket is the responsibility of the Comic Market Preparatory Committee (ComiketPC).

Himouto! Umaru-chan is a Japanese manga series by Sankaku Head. It began serialization in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump from 2013. It has been collected in six tankobon volumes. An alternative version was serialized for two chapters in Shueisha’s monthly magazine Miracle Jump in 2012. An anime television series adaptation by Doga Kobo began airing in Japan from July 8, 2015. Umaru is a renowned beautiful 16-year-old girl in town, living with her elder brother Taihei. She acts a perfect sister with a kind heart, intelligence and popularity, who everybody admires. So who would believe how true Umaru is at home? Sleeping, gaming, watching TV, eating junk food, drinking cola… that’s almost all she does at home, leaving all the housework to her brother.
Her camouflage is so perfect that when one of her classmates visits her home by surprise and witnesses “true Umaru,” she pretends as if she is Umaru’s younger sister. Taihei is always swayed by Umaru’s gap between ostensible face and spoiled life, but he cannot hate his comical and somehow lovable cute little sister!

You may have heard of kung fu, but the girls at Oarai High School practice gun-fu—really, really BIG 75mm gun-fu, in fact. It’s called Sensha-do, and it’s the martial art of operating armored tanks! They take it seriously too, and since winning the national Sensha-do championship is such a huge deal at Oarai, they sometimes go to extreme ends in order to get the best students from Panzer class to sign up. Which is how Miho Nishizumi, who HATES operating tanks, gets drafted to join doomsday-driven driver Mako, even-triggered gunner Hana, highly receptive radio operator Saori and combustible tank-fangirl and loader Yukari as the incomparable Anko Team. They may not be on the half-track to fame and fortune, and maybe a few of them would rather shop for tank tops than become tops in tanks, but once their focus is locked and loaded, they’re absolutely driven.
