New Gakkou Gurashi! Theory Leaves Us Flipping Out

17

Fans of the anime adaptation of Norimitsu Kaihou and Sadoru Chiba’s moe / survival horror Gakkou Gurashi! manga have wondered why the main character, Yuki Takeya, has different a school uniform than the rest of the main cast.  A Japanese Twitter user believes that they have found an explanation that gives the visual choices a deeper, psychological meaning.

Gakkou Gurashi! school uniform visual 1

He also stated that if you place the girls side by side and reverse the color palettes, the colors of their uniforms match perfectly.

Gakkou Gurashi! school uniform visual 2

This suggests that Yuki’s mismatched uniform is actually reflective of her ‘inverted’ psychological state.

In other Gakkou Gurashi! related news, various new visuals of the series has been featured in NyanType and Megami:

An alternative version was serialized for two chapters in Shueisha’s monthly magazine Miracle Jump in 2012. An anime television series adaptation by Doga Kobo began airing in Japan from July 8, 2015. Himouto! Umaru-chan synopsis from Haruhichan:

Umaru is a renowned beautiful 16-year-old girl in town, living with her elder brother Taihei. She acts a perfect sister with a kind heart, intelligence and popularity, who everybody admires. So who would believe how true Umaru is at home? Sleeping, gaming, watching TV, eating junk food, drinking cola… that’s almost all she does at home, leaving all the housework to her brother.

Her camouflage is so perfect that when one of her classmates visits her home by surprise and witnesses “true Umaru,” she pretends as if she is Umaru’s younger sister. Taihei is always swayed by Umaru’s gap between ostensible face and spoiled life, but he cannot hate his comical and somehow lovable cute little sister!

The Trials and Tribulations of Voice Acting Shown in Sore ga Seiyuu’s Cute OP/ED

1

It has become a recent trend in anime to become more self analytical about the industry. A fresh way to look at things many would say, but beyond that, it offers a humorous look into a world many, as fans, are curious about. This particular show wraps up the “seiyuu” (voice actor) lifestyle in a cute little moe package and serves to us on a weekly basis!

Being a cute, moe anime – we get a cute moe OP as well! “Sore ga Seiyuu!” by Earphones is the track that plays as we watch the visuals. The animation is fairly reminiscent of the recent Haruhi Suzumiya anime, but that’s a good thing! Click below to watch the full video.

Equally adorable in its own right, the cast sing the ED: “Anata no Omimi ni Plug In!” by Earphones, as visuals from the episode play on a screen and chibi cutouts sing the track. It’s fairly cute! Watch it by clicking below.

The anime premiered July 2015.

Overlord’s OP and ED Are Dripping with Badassery

3

Arguably one of the best OPs of the season – Overlord‘s “Clattanoia” by O×T (Masayoshi Oishi × Tom-H@ck) rocks us to the core with its metal instrumentals and synthesized vocals. The animation itself is also none too shabby with its unique style, varied cast of characters and intense battle sequences.

Watch the video below. You won’t want to miss this.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2x244h

Equally badass with its own style, the ED: “L.L.L.” by MYTH&ROID also employs metal instrumentals, however has a female vocalist. The animation show various portraits of the sexy succubus (or whatever she is, we don’t ask questions around here when we see a beauty like that) and damn if it isn’t incredible to watch. Do so now!

Non Non Biyori Repeat’s OP and ED Are a Welcome Heartwarmer This Summer

2

Known for not being about much, Non Non Biyori is back this season with a second season titled Non Non Biyori Repeat. As expected, we have an absolutely adorable OP, featuring the cute cast of characters once again. The track “Kodama Kotodama” by nano.RIPE is a light hearted, up beat tune that works well with the equally light hearted animation sequence of the squad on their daily little adventures. Watch the video below!

The voice cast themselves work on the ED: “Okaeri” by Renge Miyauchi (Kotori Koiwai), Hotaru Ichijou (Rie Murakawa), Natsumi Koshigaya (Ayane Sakura), Komari Koshigaya (Kana Asumi). Animated beautifully and featuring the talented seiyuus at work, this tune is slightly more mellow but just as cute and catchy. Definitely recommend watching it!

Monster Musume’s OP Ascends You into Waifu Heaven

1

If you only watch one anime this season, for the love of all that is glorious, let it be this one. Never have monster girls been so sexy as they are in the OP of this season’s Monster Musume. The OP: “Saikousoku Fall in Love” by Miia (Sora Amamiya), Papi (Ari Ozawa), Centorea (Natsuki Aikawa), Suu (Mayuka Nomura), Mero (Haruka Yamazaki), Rachnera (Sakura Nakamura) is a great track in its own right, and is done by the voice cast of the anime. But the visuals steal the show. Featuring a broad cast of gorgeous monster girls, and starting off with them in bridal dresses that’ll make your jaw drop – this animation sequence is unmissable.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2x2mlg

Excuse the time it took to run this article, I had to wipe the unspeakable mixture of bodily fluids off my screen. If the OP wasn’t enough for you, the ED will surely win you over. “Hey! Smith!!” by Sumisu (Yuu Kobayashi) and MON [Zombina (Rei Mochizuki), Manako (Momo Asakura), Tionishia (Yurika Kubo), Doppel (Saori Oonishi)] is the track that plays during this showcase of all the girls in their bare minimums and my is in enticing. The anime adaptation was revealed on the 7th manga volume of Takemaru Inui’s manga series Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou (Everyday That There Is a Monster Girl), there was wraparound jacket band announcement revealing that the TV anime adaptation of the manga will premiere this July, during the summer 2015 anime season.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou, usually translated as “Everyday Life with Monster Girls” but also as “Daily Life with a Monster Girl” or “Everyday Monster Girls“, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Okayado. The manga first began as a series of hentai one-shots. An anime adaption has been announced to Air in July 2015.

Monster Musume is currently published in Japan by Tokuma Shoten in their Monthly Comic Ryu magazine and by Seven Seas Entertainment in the United States, with the chapters collected and reprinted into—so far—6 tankobon volumes. The story revolves around Kimihito Kurusu, often referred to as “Darling” among various other things, a Japanese student whose life is totally thrown into turmoil after becoming involved with the “Interspecies Cultural Exchange” program by mistake.

Monster Musume synopsis from Haruhichan:

Monsters—they’re real, and they want to date us! Three years ago, the world learned that harpies, centaurs, catgirls, and all manners of fabulous creatures are not merely fiction; they are flesh and blood—not to mention scale, feather, horn, and fang. Thanks to the “Cultural Exchange Between Species Act,” these once-mythical creatures have assimilated into society, or at least, they’re trying.

When a hapless human named Kurusu Kimihito is inducted as a “volunteer” into the government exchange program, his world is turned upside down. A snake-like lamia named Miia comes to live with him, and it is Kurusu’s job to take care of her and make sure she integrates into his everyday life. Unfortunately for Kurusu, Miia is undeniably sexy, and the law against interspecies breeding is very strict. Even worse, when a ravishing centaur girl and a flirtatious harpy move in, what’s a full-blooded young man with raging hormones to do?!
