The first commercial has been streamed online for the upcoming anime adaptation of Nagaru Tanigawa and Puyo’s The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan (The Vanishing of Nagato Yuki-Chan). The new commercial shows us the first visuals of the anime and also previews the Opening theme, Fure Fure Mirai, performed by the North High School Literature Club Girls.

The anime adaptation of the spin-off manga was made late last year. Anime store Docomo was revealed to be streaming the upcoming series, as well as the two other spin-off shows in the Haruhi franchise, The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya and Nyoron Churuya-san.

The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan is a spin-off manga in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya franchise, where it stars the eponymous character Yuki Nagato. The series takes place in the alternate universe established in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. The series is written and drawn by Puyo, which started in February 2010. To date, the series has a total of 5 volumes with the 6th volume releasing on December 26th this year.

There is very little information regarding the anime announcement of The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, including whether or no Kyoto Animation will produce it. Two other spin-off manga were also produced into anime: The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya and Nyoron Churuya-san.

Yuru Yuri 3rd Season Announcement Video Streamed

The official website for Namori’s popular slice of life Yuru Yuri manga series began streaming the announcement video for the third TV anime season on Monday.

The third season was announced to be green-lit on the stage monitor during the “Yuru Yuri Nachuyachumi! P’s Live Chokuzen! Goraku-bu Live Playback” event, which was streamed on Niconico.

Yuru Yuri is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Namori. The series began serialization in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime S magazine from June 12, 2008, before being moved over to Comic Yuri Hime in September 2010. An anime adaptation by Dogakobo aired in Japan between July and September 2011; a second season aired between July and September 2012. A third season is currently in production

Yuru Yuri synopsis from Haruhichan:

Right after starting middle school, Akari Akaza joins the Amusement Club which is composed solely by her two childhood friends, Kyouko Toshinou and Yui Funami. Chinatsu Yoshikawa, Akaza’s classmate, becomes a member after finding out about the dissolution of the Tea Club.

The Amusement Club, situated at the tea room facility since the Tea Club disbanded, has no clear purpose, being free for the girls to do whatever they want.

Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku Anime TV Spot Previews Opening Theme

Media Factory began streaming the first TV spot for the upcoming anime adaptation of Last Note.’s Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku (Mikagura School Suite) light novel series on Tuesday. The video previews the anime’s opening theme song, “Houkago Kakumei” by Houkago Gakuenbu. The anime is scheduled to premier in Japan on April 6.

In addition to this, new cast were revealed:

The Vocaloid composer, Last Note., began his light novel series on July 24, 2013 with Akina being the illustrator. It has also a shoujo manga series that was serialized in Comic Gene magazine. The manga started few days before the light novel, July 13, 2013. The light novel currently has four volumes while the manga has three compiled volumes. The fourth light novel volume was published on July 25, 2014 while the third compiled manga volume was released on September 27, 2014.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san F Preview Video Streamed

A new preview video for the upcoming the recently announced OVA of Manta Aisora and Koin’s Haiyore! Nyaruko-san (Nyaruko: Crawling with Love) light novel series, Haiyore! Nyaruko-san F, was streamed on Monday during the Animemashite program on TV Tokyo. The OVA will be animated by Xebec (To Love-Ru , Rio: Rainbow Gate!) once again, though no other staff members were revealed. The anime will feature the return of main cast from previous seasons, including: Kana Asumi (Yuno from Hidamari Sketch) as Nyaruko, Eri Kitamura (Sayaka Miki in Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica) as and Miyu Matsuki (Yoshinoya in Hidamari Sketch) as Cthuko.

The OVA will debut in theaters in Japan on May 30.

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, is a Japanese light novel series written by Manta Aisora and illustrated by Koin. It was inspired by H. P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu mythos. The series’ twelve volumes were published by Soft Bank Creative under their GA Bunko imprint between April 2009 and March 2014. A flash-animated original video animation (OVA) by DLE titled Haiyoru! Nyaruani was published in between October 2009 and March 2010, followed by a television series, Haiyoru! Nyaruani: Remember My Mr. Lovecraft, which aired in Japan between December 2010 and February 2011. New Digimon Adventure Tri. Key Visual Revealed

The official website of the 2015 Digimon Adventure sequel anime has revealed a new key visual for the series. In addition to this, it has also been revealed that the Kouji Wada will return to do the opening theme song “Butter-Fly” while Miyazaki Ayumi will return to perform “Brave Heart” for the insert song. The Digimon cast will remain the same.

Last January Shueisha’s V Jump magazine revealed a new article about the upcoming Digimon Adventure Tri., which has revealed the first new image of Agumon in the upcoming series, showcasing his new design.

The article in the V Jump magazine showcases a new angle of series’ main protagonist Taichi ‘Tai’ Yagami, where the first designs were revealed in the anime’s first visual. This is also the first design for Agumon and any Digimon in the upcoming anime, which has a new character designer from the original anime series by Atsuya Uki. The main staff members of Digimon Adventure Tri. includes:

Digimon (Digital Monsters in Japan) is a large multimedia franchise that was based on Bandai’s Digivice products, which first released in 1997. The toys were based on Tamagotchis, which were also produced by Bandai. The toys were seen as more female orientated products, so Bandai created a new line of products for a male equivalent. The first anime adaptation, Digimon Adventure, was produced in 1999 by Toei Animation. A film and TV anime were released alongside each other in 1999, the movie being a 20 minute anime produced by Mamoru Hosoda (Wolf Children, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time). Since then there has been numerous anime series, toys, figures, manga, video games and trading card games in the franchise. And this year, will mark the 15th anniversary of Digimon Adventure.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Light Novel and Spin-off Manga Licensed by Yen Press

A few days ago, Yen Press announced three manga series being licensed by them. And today, they revealed on their official Twitter account that they will be publishing in English the light novel and manga of Tsutomu Satou (DOWL Masters) and Kana Ishida’s (Aquarion Evol‘s female character designer) action, sci-fi series, Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei, and the spin-off manga of the light novel series which tells the story from Miyuki’s perspective, Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei.

Hmm. Since we didn’t disclose any light novels with our last announcement, maybe it’s time to unveil a new one…

The light novel was published by ASCII Media Work’s Kadokawa under the Dengeki label. The first Japanese volume was published on July 10, 2011. There are currently 15 compiled light novel volumes. The latest volume was released on January 10, 2015. While the 16th volume is slated to ship on May 10, 2015. Yen Press planned to release the first English light novel volume on October 2015 under their Yen On imprint.

Yuru Yuri 3rd Season Visual Revealed

The official website for the upcoming third season of Namori’s popular slice of life Yuru Yuri manga series has revealed the first key visual.

The third season was announced to be green-lit on the stage monitor during the “Yuru Yuri Nachuyachumi! P’s Live Chokuzen! Goraku-bu Live Playback” event, which was streamed on Niconico.

Yuru Yuri is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Namori. The series began serialization in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime S magazine from June 12, 2008, before being moved over to Comic Yuri Hime in September 2010. An anime adaptation by Dogakobo aired in Japan between July and September 2011; a second season aired between July and September 2012. A third season is currently in production

Yuru Yuri synopsis from Haruhichan:

Right after starting middle school, Akari Akaza joins the Amusement Club which is composed solely by her two childhood friends, Kyouko Toshinou and Yui Funami. Chinatsu Yoshikawa, Akaza’s classmate, becomes a member after finding out about the dissolution of the Tea Club.

The Amusement Club, situated at the tea room facility since the Tea Club disbanded, has no clear purpose, being free for the girls to do whatever they want.

Archer and Rin Are Enchanting in the Latest Fate/Stay Night 2015 Visual

A new key visual has been revealed in the April issue of NewType for the upcoming second cour of ufotable’s Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works anime, which will be debuting this April.

The first visual for the upcoming second cour was revealed last January in the winter 2015 anime guide magazine by Gigazine which was handed out last December during the Comiket 87 event.

It was also revealed that Japanese female pop artist Aimer will be performing the opening while highly acclaimed Kalafina will be returning to perform the second season’s ending theme song, “Ring Your Bell.”

The anime is a split cour series, the first half aired on October 4 last year and the second half will air in April next year. The anime’s cast from previous anime and visual novels will return to reprise their roles. The main cast includes:

Noriaki Sugiyama (Sasuke Uchiha in Naruto) will be back to voice Shirou Emiya
Kana Ueda (Yumi Fukuzawa from Maria-sama ga Miteru) returns as Rin Tohsaka
Ayako Kawasumi (Megumi Noda in Nodame Cantabile) voicing as Saber
Junichi Suwabe (Dandy in Space☆Dandy) as Archer
Nobutoshi Canna (Masato Inohara from Little Busters!) voicing Lancer

The series will be once again directed by Takahiro Miura (Kara no Kyoukai 6: Boukyaku Rokuon) with Hideyuki Fukasawa (Vividred Operation) composing the music and ufotable (Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai Movie Series) animating the series. The first Blu-ray boxset of the anime’s first cour will release on March 25 in Japan.

Fate/stay night is a visual novel released by Type-Moon for the PC in 2004, and is the first in their Fate series. The visual novel was very successful and claimed the title of highest selling visual novel in that year. 2006 saw two adaptations of the game, a manga by Datto Nishiwaki and an anime series by Studio Deen. Additionally in that year, a light novel series titled Fate/Zero was written by Gen Urobuchi. It is a prequel to the visual novels, set 10 years prior. An anime and manga adaptation of Fate/Zero were created, with the manga written by Urobuchi himself in 2011 and the anime being animated by ufotable. A second season of Fate/Zero was also produced.

New Key Visual for the 2nd Attack on Titan Movie Revealed

The official website for the second Attack on Titan movie, Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 2: Jiyuu no Tsubasa / Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom, revealed a new visual of the second compilation film based on the anime series on Monday.

Last month the first trailer for the second Attack on Titan movie, Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 2: Jiyuu no Tsubasa / Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom was also streamed:

The first movie titled Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 1: Guren No Yumiya / Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow released last November in Japan, here’s the trailer:

In addition to this, the first visual for the second season was released last January and it was also revealed that the second season of Attack on Titan will be airing sometime in 2016. More information about the upcoming anime will be revealed at the second compilation film on June 27.

The Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) series was created by Hajime Isayama. It started off as a manga in 2009 and is published in Kodansha’s monthly Bessatsu Shounen Magazine. To date there has been 14 compiled volumes of the manga. A prequel light novel adaptation started in 2011, and two spin-off manga started serialization in 2012: Shingeki no Kyojin: Before the Fall and Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou. In April 2013 the series was picked up for an anime adaptation. The anime series was produced by the newly formed Wit Studios. The series has grown in popularity since the anime’s debut, with the manga selling over 36 million copies as of April this year. Two live action film adaptations will be releasing in Japan next year. The first images for the live-action 2015 Attack on Titan film were also earlier released.

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.

Second Commercial Streamed for Kyoukai no Kanata Movie

Kyoto Animation has started streaming the second commercial for the second part of the upcoming anime film adaptations of Nagomu Torii and Tomoyo Kamoi’s Kyoukai no Kanata (Beyond the Boundary) light novel series, Kyoukai no Kanata -I’ll Be Here- Mirai-hen (The Future). This new commercial teases the first footage of Mirai-hen, the second part of the Kyoukai no Kanata -I’ll Be Here- project that is set one year after the events of the anime. The first film, Kako-hen (The Past), will be a compilation film of the tv anime series. The main cast will return in both films with Risa Taneda (Aya Komichi in Kiniro Mosaic) as Mirai Kuriyama and KENN (Hibito Nanba from Uchuu Kyoudai) as Akihito Kanbara leading the cast.

The two Kyoukai no Kanata -I’ll Be Here- films will be releasing in Japanese theatres this Spring. The first film, Kyoukai no Kanata -I’ll Be Here – Kako-hen, is a compilation film releasing on March 14th, and the second is a brand new film set after the series, Kyoukai no Kanata -I’ll Be Here – Mirai-hen, releasing on April 25.

Saku’s Kongou Cosplay Will Make You Scream Burning Love

Japanese cosplayer Saku has imitated the appearance of Kantai Collection‘s warship daughter of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War I and World War II, Kongou.

Just like she is shown in the series, the appearance of this cosplay consists of her long brown hair bunched into two braided buns, a modified miko uniform with a black skirt and thighhighs. She is also wearing the same signature winged hairband all Kongou-class wear.

New Hamatora Film and SD Anime Series Announced

On March 8th, film and “super-deformed” anime adaptations to the popular TV anime, Hamatora, were announced to be green lit. This announcement was made from the Re: Hamatora Fes 2015 Spring event. The film is to be a theater version of Hamatora and Re: Hamatora, while the anime will be a side story/spinoff. Also, just in case you were wondering, the phrase “super-deformed” means that the characters will be portrayed as something similar to chibis- they’ll have larger heads and smaller bodies. More information about the projects will be released in the future on the official website.

The super-deformed characters:

Hamatora is a manga written by Yukino Kitajima with illustrations by Yu Wazu. The manga began in November 2013 and is being published in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump. The series currently has one released volume. An anime adaptation of the series started in January 2014. Titled Hamatora The Animation, the anime is set after the events of the manga. It is animated by studio Naz, and is their debut animated series. The series features directors Seiji Kishi (Angel Beats!, Carnival Phantasm) and Hiroshi Kimura (Recorder to Randoseru Do♪) with Touko Machida (Lucky☆Star, The iDOLM@STER) and Jun Kumagai (Persona 4 The Animation) writing the scripts.

The Hamatora project was announced in 2013 and since then has spawned a manga, two seasons of anime, two stage plays, and a Nintendo 3DS game by FuRyu. More information on the upcoming projects is soon to come.

The official website of the anime adaptation of Cool Kyoushinsha’s I Can’t Understand What My Husband Is Saying (Danna ga Nani o Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken) has revealed that the upcoming second season of the anime will be airing from April 2nd on TV Saitama. The second season itself will be titled I Can’t Understand What My Husband Is Saying Thread 2 (Danna ga Nani o Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken 2-sure-me). Additionally, a new visual and the anime’s Ending theme were also revealed.

The series is released on Kyoushinsha’s website where it gained enough popularity for publisher Ichijinsha to compile and publish the manga into 4 volumes to date, the last of which released in June this year. An anime adaptation of the series was announced and aired during the Fall/Autumn 2014 anime season, produced by studio Seven (Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san, Recorder to Randoseru Do♪) and directed by Shinpei Nagai (Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san).

The anime follows the daily life of an earnest, hardworking office lady named Kaoru and her otaku husband, Hajime, who is totally immersed in a certain huge net bulletin board system.

Working!! is a manga series by the original creator Karino Takatsu. The manga series has a total of 13 volumes and has received two anime adaptations, with the third on its way titled Working!! 3. The first season aired during spring 2010 anime season from April 4 to June 27. The second season titled Working’!! aired during the fall 2011 anime season from October 1 to December 24.

Set in a family restaurant in Hokkaido, the northern prefecture of Japan, 16-year-old high school student Souta Takanashi works part-time along with his strange co-workers: Popura Taneshima, a high school girl who’s a year older than Souta, yet easily mistaken for an elementary/middle schooler, and Kyoko Shirafuji, the 28-year-old store manager who doesn’t bother to do any work at all.

TOHO began streaming a new 90-second trailer and 30-second 2nd teaser for the upcoming Detective Conan Movie 19: The Hellfire Sunflowers on Friday. The trailer also reveals that two-member Japanese rock band Porno Graffitti will perform the ending theme titled “Oh! Rival”. This is the first time they will collaborate with the Detective Conan anime franchise, and their CD single is scheduled to be released as their 42nd single on April 15.

Kobun Shizuno will return to direct the film and Takeharu Sakurai will write the script. Katsuo Ono will again to compose the music. Minami Takayama will reprise her role as Conan Edogawa with Wakana Yamazaki as Ran Mouri, Rikiya Koyama as Kogorou Mouri, and Kappei Yamaguchi as Kaito Kuroba/Kaitou Kid.

Here’s a synopsis of the movie from Detective Conan World:

A certain world-famous painting was to be auctioned at an auctionhouse in New York frequented by the rich. The piece of art was one of van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’, a masterpiece thought to be destroyed in Japan. Jirokichi Suzuki fights off all bidders by putting forward $300 million to buy it, stating that he intends to collect all seven of the ‘Sunflowers’ paintings that are scattered around the world. It will be given its greatest exhibition ever in the Japanese museum ‘Lake Rock’, which boasts iron-clad security, he announces live on worldwide news being watched by Conan and Ran. He has collected seven specialists known as the ‘Seven Samurai’ to protect the Sunflowers, but just as they are about to appear, Kaitou Kid suddenly shows up! He declares war, stating that he will steal the painting no matter what, before vanishing. Why would Kid make such a statement when he usually only goes after Big Jewels?

And just as everyone starts to panic, a high-school detective appears on the scene, having heard rumors of Kid’s appearance: Shinichi Kudo. Then, the ‘White Shadow’ launches an aerial assault on the passenger plane carrying the ‘Sunflowers’ to Japan…The curtain opens on an art mystery that blends truth and lies, focused upon a peerless treasure…

Detective Conan, is a Japanese detective manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. The series is serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shounen Sunday since January 19, 1994, and has been collected into 84 tankobon volumes. Due to legal considerations with the name Detective Conan, the English language release was renamed to Case Closed. The story follows Shinichi Kudo, an amateur detective who transformed into a child while investigating the Black Organization.

Detective Conan received an anime adaptation by Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation and TMS Entertainment. The anime resulted in animated feature films, original video animations, video games, audio disc releases, and live action episodes. In 2009, a television special titled Lupin the 3rd vs. Detective Conan was aired featuring characters from Lupin III.

The tankobon volumes of the manga have sold over 140 million copies in Japan. In 2001, the manga was awarded 46th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shounen category. The anime adaptation has been well received and ranked in the top twenty in Animage ’s polls between 1996 and 2001. In the Japanese TV anime ranking, Detective Conan episodes ranked in the top six on a weekly basis. Both the manga and anime have had positive response from critics for its plot and cases.

Kaitou Kid and Vincent van Gogh’s artworks feature heavily in the movie, according to an interview with Gosho Aoyama. The teaser preview at the end of Dimensional Sniper included references to van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” series.
