Yun*chi’s comment about the upcoming album:

“Ever since I was little I’ve loved anime and it’s influenced things like my fashion, love life, and even my dreams. Now I’m quickly approaching the third year since my debut, I’ve gotten offers to sing songs for anime as well and like always, I’m watching a lot of cool anime series every season and sometimes go out to anime clubs. I want to realize a project for that [version of] Yun*chi! So with that said, this time I tried covering anime songs*. Anime song × Yun*chi, ‘Ani*Yun’!! I definitely hope you’ll listen to it♪”

The singer has done performances two years in a row at London’s Hyper Japan cultural expo event, as well as sang the ending themes “Your song*” and “Wonderful Wonder World*” for both seasons of Log Horizon, and held her first solo live at the club MOGRA in December last year.

Yasuomi Umetsu Draws Sawa Illustration for the Live-Action Kite Film

1

The official website for the Japanese live-action version of Yasuomi Umetsu’ 1999 adult OVA A KITE/KITE has posted a newly drawn promotional illustration by the anime director himself featuring the protagonist of the film, Sawa.  The live-action Sawa portrayed by India Eisley has vivid red hair, not brown like the Sawa in the OVA. Yasuomi Umetsu has drawn Sawa as she is seen in the film and a postcard of this illustration will be given to the first 3,000 audience in theaters across Japan.

Japanese trailer for Kite:

Kite is a 2014 American action film directed by Ralph Ziman, based on the 1999 anime of the same name by Yasuomi Umetsu. The film stars India Eisley, Callan McAuliffe and Samuel L. Jackson.

Kite live-action movie synopsis from wiki:

In a vast, multicultural and decimated urban landscape, set after a financial collapse, Sawa, a beautiful but emotionally detached young woman, lives a secret life as a covert assassin. The daughter of a police detective involved in the investigation of human trafficking, she was orphaned at the age of 12 when an unknown assailant targeted both of her parents. Now 18, Sawa is intent upon eliminating members of the flesh-cartels whom she presumes murdered her family—men who exploit the defenseless children of a collapsed society for the pleasure of high-paying, foreign clients.

A Kite synopsis from MAL:

Sawa is a school girl, an orphan, and an assassin. She is being controlled by a corrupt cop who gives her targets to kill, detailing to her the crimes these men have committed in order to justify their death. Some of his power over Sawa has to do with her deceased parents and the promise of revenge. When another orphan, a teenage boy called Oburi, is brought in to assist Sawa, the two teenage killers form a bond of sorts. As they heal each other’s emotional wounds, they begin to dream of a life that would not be spent under the shadows of murder.

Monster Musume Gets TV Anime and Slated for July

On the 7th manga volume of Takemaru Inui’s manga series Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou (Everyday That There Is a Monster Girl) there was wraparound jacket band announcement revealing that the TV anime adaptation of the manga will premiere this July, during the summer 2015 anime season.

The official website also revealed a new visual:

Monster Musume Gets TV Anime and Slated for Summer 2015 haruhichan.com Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou anime announced

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou, usually translated as “Everyday Life with Monster Girls” but also as “Daily Life with a Monster Girl” or “Everyday Monster Girls“, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Okayado. The manga first began as a series of hentai one-shots. An anime adaption has been announced to Air in July 2015.

Monster Musume is currently published in Japan by Tokuma Shoten in their Monthly Comic Ryu magazine and by Seven Seas Entertainment in the United States, with the chapters collected and reprinted into—so far—6 tankobon volumes. The story revolves around Kimihito Kurusu, often referred to as “Darling” among various other things, a Japanese student whose life is totally thrown into turmoil after becoming involved with the “Interspecies Cultural Exchange” program by mistake.

Monster Musume synopsis from MAL:

Monsters—they’re real, and they want to date us! Three years ago, the world learned that harpies, centaurs, catgirls, and all manners of fabulous creatures are not merely fiction; they are flesh and blood—not to mention scale, feather, horn, and fang. Thanks to the “Cultural Exchange Between Species Act,” these once-mythical creatures have assimilated into society, or at least, they’re trying.

When a hapless human named Kurusu Kimihito is inducted as a “volunteer” into the government exchange program, his world is turned upside down. A snake-like lamia named Miia comes to live with him, and it is Kurusu’s job to take care of her and make sure she integrates into his everyday life. Unfortunately for Kurusu, Miia is undeniably sexy, and the law against interspecies breeding is very strict. Even worse, when a ravishing centaur girl and a flirtatious harpy move in, what’s a full-blooded young man with raging hormones to do?!

Kalso known as K Project, is an original television anime series by the studio GoHands (Seitokai Yakuindomo, Coppelion). The series launched in October 2012 and was helmed by director Shingo Suzuki (Coppelion). The series received modest reception for its plot, but it was praised for the fluidity of the visuals and art. The creator of the series, GoRa (who also helped with the series’ composition), also wrote the story of the many adaptations of K. To date, the series has two prequel mangas, a side story manga, two light novels and a PlayStation Vita game. A sequel film to the anime series, titledK Missing Kings, was also produced and released in July this year.

Here is a synopsis of the series from MAL:

Set in a world where history has taken a slightly different course from the one we’re familiar with, K follows the story of a young boy whose life is caught in a psychic war between seven kings.

Ashinaka High School is known for its unique setting: the entire campus is built on an island. Yashiro Isana, aka Shiro, is having lunch with a cat on one of the school rooftops. After his lunch break, Shiro goes on an errand for his classmate Kukuri to prepare for their upcoming school festival, only to be chased by some intimidating-looking men.

Parasyte is a science fiction horror manga series written and illustrated by Hitoshi Iwaaki, and published in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine from 1988 to 1995. The manga was published in North America by first Tokyopop, then Del Rey, and finally Kodansha Comics USA. The manga is being adapted into two live-action films in Japan in 2014 and 2015. An anime television series adaptation is currently airing.

Here is a synopsis of the series from Haruhichan:

They arrive in silence and darkness. They descend from the skies. They have a hunger for human flesh. They are everywhere. They are parasites, alien creatures who must invade–and take control of–a human host to survive. And once they have infected their victims, they can assume any deadly form they choose: monsters with giant teeth, winged demons, creatures with blades for hands. But most have chosen to conceal their lethal purpose behind ordinary human faces. So no one knows their secret–except an ordinary high school student. Shin is battling for control of his own body against an alien parasite, but can he find a way to warn humanity of the horrors to come?

The first set of character designs for the anime’s main cast released late last month. Here is the first key visual of the anime:

Sinon from Sword Art Online Gets Another Figurine

4

Though Gun Gale Online (the third arc of Sword Art Online) ended, the figurines of Sinon certainly have not. Sinon, the renown sniper of Gun Gale Online, receives another impeccably detailed figurine that will leave both fans of the series and collectors impressed.

Sinon’s pose is full of confidence and style; her hip game is too strong. The sniper rounds and her wavering scarf are a nice touch, as they add a nice depth of personality and flavor. The included clear base is also a nice addition, as there are no other colors clashing with the focal point, Sinon.

Sword Art Online – Sinon – Pre-orders garage-kit version are accessible on E2046 and are expected to be released on the 27th of April, 2015.
