Gravity Rush 2 Is Announced for the PS4 and Slated for 2016

0

During Sony Computer Entertainment Japan’s press conference at the 2015 Tokyo Game Show, the sequel to the 2012 PlayStation Vita title Gravity Rush was announced: Gravity Rush 2. The game itself will be continuing on from the original game, this time on the PlayStation 4 only. The game will retain the main features of the first game, which includes a large open world and fluid movement. The game once again be produced by Sony’s Japan Studio.

Gravity Rush 2 will be released on the PlayStation 4 in Japan next year.

It was also revealed that a HD remaster of the Vita game for the PlayStation 4 was announced during the conference. The game will include all DLC of the original game and remastered in full 1080p HD. The remaster of the original Gravity Rush will be released on the PlayStation 4 on December 10th this year in Japan. The remaster will release in North America on February 9th next year, and early 2016 in Europe.

Here are some screenshots of the upcoming PlayStation 4 remaster of Gravity Rush:

You can visit the game’s Japanese website here: http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/gravitydaze/

Gravity Rush, known in Japan as Gravity Daze is an action-adventure video game developed for the PlayStation Vita. Directed by Keiichiro Toyama and written by Naoko Sato (previously known for the Siren series and the first Silent Hill), the core mechanics of the game is the player’s ability to manipulate gravity, allowing unique movements and navigation. The graphics are cel-shaded, which in Toyama’s opinion stand out from the western photorealistic trend.

Development began in 2008 as a PlayStation 3 project called Gravité, before being eventually transferred to PS Vita. AI and visuals were slightly simplified during the process. However, Gravity Rush director thinks overall Vita suits the game better, because of “its handy and accessible nature” and “the impression of a different world existing beyond the screen” the player gets by tilting the device. A sequel, Gravity Rush 2, and an enhanced version of the first game, titled Gravity Rush Remastered, are set to be released for the PlayStation 4 on February 9, 2016 in North America.

The Last of Us 2 Confirmed by Naughty Dog?!

1

During a livestream focusing on the upcoming Nathan Drake collection Naughty Dog seems to have accidentally hinted at a sequel to the heart wrenching post apocalyptic thriller that is The Last of Us. Josh Scherr (writer at Naughty Dog) slipped up during the stream, stating, “All the facial animation in the Uncharted series was led up by Eric, here,” he starts, “and on the first The Last of Us. Uh, did I say the first The Last of Us?”

It’s obvious how nervous he gets as he stumbles to pick up the pieces of what he just said, making it obvious it was a mistake. Hinting to heavily at The Last of Us 2, it’s not hard to believe it’s basically confirmed.

Below is a video clip of the moment of his slip-up.

https://youtu.be/ifsHGORFTE0

Although it isn’t an official announcement, it would be hard to believe this title isn’t in progress. The Last of Us fans have been eagerly hoping and waiting for a sequel to be announced, and this is as close to the real thing as it gets. The ending of The Last of Us tidied up the story quite nicely, however, there is what happens after. Without spoiling the game for those of you who haven’t played it, there’s a bit of a cliffhanger between Joel and Ellie’s relationship. Needless to say I’m excited to see the official announcement sometime in (hopefully) the near future.

Earlier this year Nolan North the voice of Drake in the Uncharted series also pointed toward a continuation. “I know they’re doing a Last of Us 2 but my character in Last of Us kind of had an untimely demise.”

Naughty Dog themselves said they were contemplating ideas for a sequel.

However, the company’s focus is finishing up Uncharted 4, so don’t expect any news soon.

This title debuted around this time last year during Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show conference. You will interact with the character using the VR headset to not yes or no to the girls’s questions and then watch as they read from their textbooks. It’s heavily focused on communication and a breakthrough in this new virtual reality technology. We’re not quite sure what you’ll be able to do in this game, however, a demo is on its way. Could this possibly be a gateway into virtual girlfriends/boyfriends?

Final Fantasy XV is an upcoming action role-playing video game being developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and currently scheduled for a worldwide release in 2016. It is the fifteenth main installment in the Final Fantasy series, and forms part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis subseries, which also includes Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Type-0. Originally a spin-off titled Final Fantasy Versus XIII exclusive to the PlayStation 3, it is a heavy departure from previous games, providing a darker atmosphere that focuses on more realistic human characters than previous entries. The game features an open-world environment and action-based battle system similar to the Kingdom Hearts series and Type-0, incorporating the ability to switch weapons and other elements such as vehicle travel and camping.

The game takes place in a world similar to modern-day Earth. The nations of the world once waged war over control of the world’s crystals, and all but the nation of Lucis have lost theirs and regressed to medieval societies. Noctis Lucis Caelum, Crown Prince of the kingdom of Lucis—having gained magical power from a near-death experience—is driven from his home when the empire of Niflheim invades Lucis on the eve of the final peace negotiations between the two nations. Now on the run with his companions, Noctis begins to work towards defeating the forces of Niflheim and rescuing the crystal from their control.

Final Fantasy XV is being developed by a team within Square Enix’s 1st Production Department, and is the first to use the company’s Luminous Studio middleware engine. It was originally directed by Tetsuya Nomura, who also designed characters and conceived the concept and base story. In 2014, co-director Hajime Tabata took Nomura’s place as director, while Nomura moved to work on Kingdom Hearts III. Final Fantasy XV started production shortly before its announcement in May 2006. The game’s long development time and absence from the public eye gave rise to several rumors concerning its possible cancellation or shift to another platform. In June 2013, it was eventually revealed to have been renamed and to have switched systems from PlayStation 3 to eighth-generation platforms.

Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 1 Guren no Yumiya Attack on Titan Crimson Bow and Arrow movie main visual

Here is a synopsis of the anime from Haruhichan:

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans.

PriPara Pafe Gets Spooky in New Halloween Themed Visual

While some people might think that this might be a bit early for Halloween releases, Japan is the ultimate party-thrower for celebratory goods. Earlier this week, the official Japanese Baskin Robbins released their official Halloween-themed iced cream. Haruhichan readers, what are your plans for Halloween this year?

Haruhichan’s Synopsis of Prism Paradise:

PriPara (Prism Paradise) is the successor to the popular Pretty Rhythm series. The new anime is set in the PriPara world, filled with girls’ dreams and yearnings for fashion, dance, and music. Every day, there are auditions that send top idols to worldwide fame on television and online. Manaka Laala is a 5th-grader at Paprika Academy. Like most girls, she admires the world of PriPara, but unfortunately for her, her school does not allow elementary school students to participate in PriPara. However, through miraculous circumstances, Laala passes the audition to become a PriPara idol.

While no companies have officially released information about upcoming prototypes, there are acrylic keychains, stationary, and tapestries that feature the image to release this month.

Along with the Rin kimono figure, Aniplex is also set to release kimono-themed merchandise based off of their of Saekano’s Katou, Eriri, and Kasumigaoka.
