Synopsis of Sidonia no Kishi manga by Vertical:
Outer space, the far future.
A lone seed ship, the Sidonia, plies the void, ten centuries since the obliteration of the solar system. The massive, nearly indestructible, yet barely sentient alien life forms that destroyed humanity’s home world continue to pose an existential threat.
Nagate Tanikaze has only known life in the vessel’s bowels deep below the sparkling strata where humans have achieved photosynthesis and new genders. Not long after he emerges from the Underground, however, the youth is bequeathed a treasured legacy by the spaceship’s coolheaded female captain.
Meticulously drawn, peppered with clipped humor, but also unusually attentive to plot and structure for the international cult favorite, Knights of Sidonia may be Tsutomu Nihei’s most accessible work to date even as it hits notes of tragic grandeur as a hopeless struggle for survival unfolds.
Another poster visual was revealed earlier before the series debuted. This issue of NyanType can be purchased here.

One of the most exciting releases for Danmachi fans during Wonder Festival was none other than Max Factory’s Hestia figure based on the anime’s key visual illustration. During the run of the anime series, Hestia scored 14 figures and even an Azone doll.
Max Factory’s Hestia is a 1/7 scale figure and features her signature pigtails, gown, and cheerful smile. While Max Factory has not released much information about the figure yet due to her early display at Wonder Festival.
This weekend brought one of the most exciting events of the year for figure collectors around the world – the yearly figure convention in Japan, Wonder Festival. One of the many types of figures you displayed here are garage kits, figures fan-made or manufactured out of resin in which the collector must build and paint the figure themselves. This year, a beautiful garage kit of Kaga from Kantai Collection by SAKAKI Workshops was displayed for those attending to view.
While news about a potential pre-painted figure have not been released, White Garage provided beautiful photography of the figure for fans to view.

An alternative version was serialized for two chapters in Shueisha’s monthly magazine Miracle Jump in 2012. An anime television series adaptation by Doga Kobo began airing in Japan from July 8, 2015. Umaru is a renowned beautiful 16-year-old girl in town, living with her elder brother Taihei. She acts a perfect sister with a kind heart, intelligence and popularity, who everybody admires. So who would believe how true Umaru is at home? Sleeping, gaming, watching TV, eating junk food, drinking cola… that’s almost all she does at home, leaving all the housework to her brother.
Her camouflage is so perfect that when one of her classmates visits her home by surprise and witnesses “true Umaru,” she pretends as if she is Umaru’s younger sister. Taihei is always swayed by Umaru’s gap between ostensible face and spoiled life, but he cannot hate his comical and somehow lovable cute little sister!

In a hidden school surrounded by mountains, young ladies of good families are taught everything a high class lady needs to know. They are also completely cut off from the outside world, keeping them sheltered and innocent; however, a problem has come up recently—more and more graduates are failing to cope with the modern world after graduation. To deal with this problem, they’ve decided to kidnap a male commoner student, and enroll him as a student. They hope that this will be a gentle way to introduce the girls to the outside world.
Kagurazaka Kimito is chosen for this dubious honor, mostly because he seems utterly average; however, the school leaders also seem to have concluded he’s a homosexual with a muscle fetish. When Kimito hears that the alternative may be castration (to protect the girls’ purity), he eagerly plays along with this misconception. Now he’ll just have to survive the attention of many high class young ladies that are completely out of touch with the world!
