During the Tokyo Game show, Capcom announced that they will be releasing a special Sonic the Hedgehog Costume for your Felynes which also comes equipped with the sword Caliburn!
Not only does your Felynes get an awesome Sonic the Hedgehog costume with a Caliburn, you also get a neat Guild Card background which features the Green Hill Zone level from the Sonic games. You are able to select this Guild Card background and a specific pose to show off your brand new costume.
The Capcom panel also revealed another collaboration item, and it features the Bandai Namco rhythm game Taiko Drum master. The Taiko Drum Master Hunting Horn also comes with a cute Guild Card background.
On the 20th of August, 29th of August and on the 05th of September we reported that the Hunter x Hunter manga was on hiatus due to Yoshihiro Togashi’s medical condition. We’re sad to announce that the manga will be go on a prolonged hiatus due to this issue. Lets hope Yoshihiro Togashi will recover soon.
Hunter x Hunter is a manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi. The series started in 1998 and is published in Shueisha’s weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. To date the series has a total of 32 volumes. Yoshihiro Togashi placed the manga on hiatus in March 2012 after setting the record for longest run without breaks, without any news of when the manga will return. The series received an anime adaptation in 1999 from Nippon Animation that ended in 2001, followed by a series of OVAs. A new animated series relaunched in 2011 from Madhouse, retelling the series from the start. Madhouse also produced two animated films, which released in 2013. There has also been two musicals based on the series, and a slew of video games have been released from Konami and Bandai Namco.

After becoming 12, Gon leaves his home and takes on the task of entering the Hunter exam, notorious for its low success rate and high probability of death to become an official Hunter. He befriends the revenge-driven Kurapica, the doctor-to-be Leorio and the rebellious ex-assassin Killua in the exam, with their friendship prevailing throughout the many trials and threats they come upon taking on the dangerous career of a Hunter.
It has been officially announced today by Bushiroad and KLab’s Bushimo that the Tantei Opera Milky Holmes franchise will receive a 4th season titled Tantei Kageki Milky Holmes TD. The anime is set to debut in January 2015 next year during the Winter 2015 anime season. Episodes 1 and 2 will be pre-aired on Tokyo MX in the special program titled Oomisoka-dayo! ((It’s New Year’s Eve!) Milky Holmes 2014 on December 31, 2014. Regular broadcasting will begin January 2015.
The opening theme song for the anime will be titled “OverDrive!” and performed by Milky Holmes while the ending theme will be sung by Emi Nitta, who will also voice a new character in the anime called Marine Amagi who will be voiced by Emi Nitta (Honoka Kousaka in Love Live! School Idol Project).

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes is a media franchise owned by the Japanese trading card game company Bushiroad. The first release was an Internet radio drama, released in December 2009. An anime adaptation by J.C.Staff aired between October and December 2010, with a special episode aired on August 26, 2011. Seiken Tsukai no World Break synopsis from Haruhichan:
Written by Akamitsu Awamura, the series takes place in a private high school involving the concept of “saviors.” They are known as people who possess awakened memories of their past lives. The story tells of a young boy named Moroha Haimura who comes to this private school.
At the school, there are two types of people: Saviors, who fight enemies with weapons and techniques gleaned from the Puraana powers from their own bodies, and Kuroma, who wipe out enemies with magic to manipulate the Maana powers that surpass physics. Moroha Haimura is the first person with past lives of both Shirogane and Kuroma.
Square Enix has just announced that the entire Final Fantasy XIII trilogy will be coming to the PC via Steam. The first title in the trilogy, Final Fantasy XIII,will be out on Steam on October 9th.
The Steam store page for Final Fantasy XIII is already live and you can pre-purchase the game for 10%. The full price of the game is a surprising $15.99. The game will support Steam Trading Cards and will be coming out in a few weeks time. The game will also be available on Square Enix’s Online Store. The publisher has stated it’s aiming to release all three games, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, on PC by Spring next year.

Final Fantasy XIII is the thirteenth major instalment in Square Enix’s Final Fantasy franchise. The game originally released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. The game was the first entry in the Fabula Nova Crystallis series, with Final Fantasy Agito (now Final Fantasy Type-0) and Final Fantasy Versus XIII (now Final Fantasy XV). The game received two sequels in the following years, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII in 2011 and 2013 respectively. To date the trilogy has sold over 12 million copies.
Final Fantasy XIII will be out on Steam on October 9, with Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII coming in the upcoming months.
The first promotional video for the upcoming second season of Gen Urobuchi’s Psycho-Pass has been uploaded. Psycho-Pass 2 will debut this October 9 on Fuji TV and air throughout the Fall 2014 anime season. The opening theme for the second season will be titled Enigmatic Feeling and performed by Ling Tosite Sigure while the ending theme will be titled Fallen performed by EGOIST.

Psycho-Pass is a Japanese anime television series that was produced by Production I.G, directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani and written by Gen Urobuchi. The series was aired on Fuji TV’s Noitamina programming block between October 2012 and March 2013. The story takes place in an authoritarian future dystopia, where omnipresent public sensors continuously scan the Psycho-Pass of every citizen in range. The sensors measure mental state, personality, and the probability that the citizen will commit crimes, alerting authorities when someone exceeds accepted norms. To enforce order, the officers of the Public Safety Bureau carry hand weapons called Dominators. These gun-like devices instantaneously assess the Psycho-Pass of a targeted individual, determine whether a shot is allowed, and control how powerful it can be in a range from temporary paralysis to complete disintegration. They extend even further the social control exerted by the central authorities. The story follows Akane Tsunemori, Shinya Kogami, and other members of Unit One of the Public Safety Bureau’s Criminal Investigation Division, and the crimes they investigate.
Psycho-Pass originated from Production I.G.’s interest in making a successor to Mamoru Oshii’s achievements. The series was inspired by several live-action films. Chief director Katsuyuki Motohiro aimed to explore psychological themes in society’s youth using dystopian storylines. Several rules were used to focus on making the dystopia that the characters live in.
A second season will begin airing in October 2014 followed by an animated film to be released in the first quarter of 2015. A manga adaptation has been in serialization in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine and several novels, including an adaptation and prequels to the original story, have been published. An episodic video game adaptation called Chimi Chara Psycho-Pass was developed by Nitroplus Staffers in collaboration with Production I.G. New novels and another manga are due to be serialized in 2014. Critical reception of the series has been mostly positive; the setting of the series and the cases which develop the protagonists were praised. Special mention was given to the villain and philosophy discussed in the series. However, the series’ gruesome imagery and aspects of the setting were criticized.
Today at Bandai Namco’s Tokyo Game Show conference they announced that God Eater will be receiving an anime adaptation, by none other than ufotable.
ufotable studio is known for animating Fate/Zero and the upcoming Fate/stay night series, as well as the animated cutscenes in recent Tales of games, also published by Bandai Namco Games. In addition, the official website of the anime has launched.
The announcement was made ahead of the 5th anniversary of God Eater, an Action Role Playing, Hack n Slash game developed by Shift and published by Bandai Namco Games for the PlayStation Portable in early 2010. The God Eater 2 Rage Burst & GE 5th Anniversary Contents Unveiling campaign also has additional announcements. The first new title of the 5th anniversary is God Eater 2: Rage Burst. It is an enhanced release of God Eater 2 and will be coming out on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 next year. It will include the full original game with new weapons, mechanics and updated graphics.

The next announcement of the 5th anniversary is the God Eater Pachi-Slot, a virtual Pachi-slot machine with the God Eater theme that is being developed by Yamasa. A pachi slot is a Japanese slot machine with themed animations. Here is a teaser of the machine with animation from ufotable themselves:
The last announcement is a collaboration between Marvelous AQL’s Soul Sacrifice Delta. The collaboration includes God Eater 2 costumes, weapons and magic in Soul Sacrifice Delta, as well as the menacing wolf boss Marduk.
God Eater is an Action Role Playing, Hack n Slash game developed by Shift and published by Bandai Namco Games. The games are set in a dystopian future Japan, where large monsters called Aragami have destroyed most of mankind. In the games you play as a God Eater, a small group of soldiers whose sole purpose is to defeat the Aragami using weapons made from the Aragami’s cells. A total of 3 games have been released since its start in 2010. The first game in the series released in Japan in February 2010 for the PlayStation Portable with an updated release titled Gods Eater Burst later in the year, where it also released internationally. A direct sequel to the game was published last year in Japan on the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita. The game has been announced to be localised, but no date has been given yet.
The God Eater anime will be produced by ufotable. Not much information about the series has been released, so expect more information in the upcoming months.

Square Enix has unveiled a new video at the 2014 Tokyo Game Show for Final Fantasy XV, the next major anticipated instalment in the Final Fantasy franchise. The trailer itself previews new gameplay footage from the game as well as a new feature to the franchise, driving a car road trip style. The game is set in a near future world based on modern Earth, with various countries and continents that have engaged in war over the crystals. Only one crystal remains and is located in Lucis. Players will be playing as Noctis Lucis Caelum, the prince of Lucis who has a strange mystical power.
The game itself will deviate greatly from past Final Fantasy titles, with the game being a full Action Role Playing Game, created by Tetsuya Nomura, known for the Kingdom Hearts series. Nomura has stepped down from his director role of the game to work on Kingdom Hearts III, with Hajime Tabata, the director of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy Type-0, taking the directing role.
Final Fantasy XV will be releasing on Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One. No release date has been announced so far.

Bandai Namco Games have uploaded the second promotional video on Wednesday for One Piece: Dance Battle a music and rhythm game for iOS and Android smartphones. The trailer demonstrates how the player chooses a character and has to follow the dance commands. There are five different commands represented by different colored orbs, and, by streaming dance moves together, it is possible to execute a combo. If you successfully execute a combo, the speed increases and says “Tension Up” on the screen.

The official English website of NHK Enterprises has updated with the listings for the upcoming Fall/Autumn 2014 anime season. With the new listings, it has been revealed that the second season of the Log Horizon anime will be a 2 cour series, spanning 25 episodes.

Veteran gamer Shiroe and other players have been trapped in the world of the online game Elder Tales for six months. The once chaotic city of Akiba has regained its everyday hustle and bustle following the formation of the self-governing organization Round Table Meeting. The earthlings, who are originally from the game world, have gained the trust of Shiroe by waging a defensive war against the Goblins in Zantleaf Region. This has led Princess Rayneshia of the Cowen family, the highest-ranking Earthling Aristocrats, to live in Akiba.
It’s almost winter, and the Adventurers are thinking about what they’re going to do and what their goals are in this other world. Will they remain in Akiba or go to the city of the West? Or will they travel to the land of the North or another faraway country? The opinions of the Adventurers begin to diverge. What adventures await the members of the Shiroe team in this second series of Log Horizon?

Log Horizon season 2’s Ending theme will be Wonderful Wonder World*. The Ending theme will be performed by Yun*chi, who also sung the Ending theme Your song for the first season.
Log Horizon is a light novel series created by Mamare Touno in 2010, when he submitted the novel onto the community driven site Shosetsuka ni Naro. The series was then published by Enterbrain in March 2011, where a total of 7 volumes has been produced since. A bunch of manga adaptations were then issued after the novel’s publication, all of which are written by Touno. An anime adaptation of the novels began in October last year by studio Satelight, airing for a total of 25 episodes and covering ~5 volumes.

By its eleventh expansion pack, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Elder Tale has become a global success, having a following of millions of players. However, during the release of its twelfth expansion pack: Novasphere Pioneers, thirty thousand Japanese gamers who are all logged on at the time of the update, suddenly find themselves transported inside the game world and donning their in-game avatars. In the midst of the event, a socially awkward gamer called Shiroe along with his friends Naotsugu and Akatsuki decide to team up so that they may face this world which has now become their reality along with the challenges which lie ahead.
Season 2 of the Log Horizon anime will be 25 episodes long. The series will premiere from October 4th on NHK E at 5:30pm JST. Further information on the anime will release at a later date.

Today we have a slightly different TV vs Blu-ray post, we have a set of comparisons of the Girls und Panzer OVA, Girls und Panzer: Kore ga Hontou no Anzio-sen Desu!. But the anime has not aired on TV (not yet anyways) and has just released on home media The OVA itself premiered at 12 Japanese theatres in June this year, and getting footage from a theatre is a big no no. So how will be compare the Blu-ray release with the original? With the promotional video of course.
It may be slightly odd to compare the promotional video with the Blu-ray release, but it is the closest we can get to comparing the original broadcast and the polished home release.

There are also other comparisons with some of the bonus footage from the Girls und Panzer: Kore ga Hontou no Anzio-sen Desu! Blu-ray. Usually we see minor changes being made to fix up some small errors and nothing too major changes. A bonus in the home media release showcases a drastic change from the initial scene from the OVA in the Blu-ray release. As you can see the environment and vehicle in the background of the scene has altered dramatically.
The next bonus comparison is about the process where animators visit real life locations to take pictures to be used as background references in their anime. The Girls und Panzer anime is set in Oarai Town, based on the real world version of Oarai, in the Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. The bonus showcases two scenes that were molded after the real version of Oarai, to the right, in the anime, to the left.
The last bonus comparison image is of the series paying an homage to a 1979 anime film directed by Hayao Miyazaki. The chase scene in Girls und Panzer: Kore ga Hontou no Anzio-sen Desu! is an homage to Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro, Miyazaki’s debut directing role and one of the industry’s most influential anime.
Girls und Panzer is an original anime series that aired from October 2012 till March 2013. The series is produced by studio Actas (Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure, Switch) and directed by Tsutomu Mizushima (Another, Shinryaku! Ika Musume). Four manga adaptations of the series were produced since 2012 and all of which are published by Media Factory. A light novel adaptation was also produced in 2012, as well as a video game based on the series that released on the PlayStation Vita in June this year. An anime film of Girls und Panzer is scheduled to release later this year.

You may have heard of kung fu, but the girls at Oarai High School practice gun-fu—really, really BIG 75mm gun-fu, in fact. It’s called Sensha-do, and it’s the martial art of operating armored tanks! They take it seriously too, and since winning the national Sensha-do championship is such a huge deal at Oarai, they sometimes go to extreme ends in order to get the best students from Panzer class to sign up. Which is how Miho Nishizumi, who HATES operating tanks, gets drafted to join doomsday-driven driver Mako, even-triggered gunner Hana, highly receptive radio operator Saori and combustible tank-fangirl and loader Yukari as the incomparable Anko Team. They may not be on the half-track to fame and fortune, and maybe a few of them would rather shop for tank tops than become tops in tanks, but once their focus is locked and loaded, they’re absolutely driven.

Koufuku Graffiti (Happy Cooking Graffiti) is a manga series by Makoto Kawai. It began in March 2012 in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Miracle! magazine and to date has a total of 3 compiled volumes. The Koufuku Graffiti anime will be airing from January 2015 during the Winter 2014/2015 anime season. The figure is a 1/7 scale with a weight of 1.50kg and is approximately 24.00 cm tall. The pre-painted version comes with a gathering surprise dedicated display base and a self-designed key chain for free (but only for the first 100 pre-orders).

The first promotional video for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Tsukasa Kawaguchi’s manga Madan no Ou to Vanadis has been uploaded. The anime series will be animated by Satelight (AKB0048, Log Horizon, Hellsing Ultimate) and Media Factory (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, D-Frag!, Freezing), it will debut this October 4 and air throughout the fall 2014 anime season.

Madan no Ou to Vanadis is a light novel series written by Tsukasa Kawaguchi with illustrations and character designs from Yoshi☆o. The series began publication in April 2011 in Media Factory’s MF Bunko J imprint, with a total of 9 volumes released. A manga adaptation by Kawaguchi and Nobuhiko Yanai was also released in late 2011.

Set in Western Europe during times of war, Eleanor “Ellen” Vertalia, one of the Vanadis of Zhcted, leads the battle into Brune. The game has over 100 characters from the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden anime, making it the largest roster in the franchise. The game itself includes new gameplay mechanics, story elements from the anime and manga, as well as original story elements such as the Sunny Side Up anime special featuring Itachi and Sasuke.
A new animation and story in the game will explore the relationship between the new playable character Shisui Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha as they were part of the elite squad, the ANBU. The game will also mark the first appearance of Shisui’s susanoo. A brand new animation titled Truth of Akatsuki will be in the game, which will show the creation and beginnings of the infamous group the Akatsuki. The player will be able to recruit and fight members of the Akatsuki before the groups formation many years ago. The characters themselves will be much younger with their new appearances designed by Masashi Kishimoto himself. Additionally, a new original character from Kishimoto also appears in the game, Mecha Naruto. In a very bizarre turn, CyberConnect2 and Kishimoto plays homage to old Sci-fi Mecha anime by adding in a mechanical version of Naruto and Kurama, and all in its cheesy glory.
The game features new gameplay mechanics, such as the Combination Ultimate Techniques where two or three characters can combine their ultimate attacks together for a devastating attack. The combination attacks can be used by special teams, such as Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura, or Hidan and Kakuzu. They are limited to the teams from the anime and manga. Another new feature is the Ninja World Tournament mode. This new mode pits the player against 3 AI characters in a variety of matches in order to obtain special battle orbs. The player with the most orbs win in a tournament style fashion. This mode will only be exclusive to the single player portion of the game, so any multiplayer variation of this mode will not be present. Other new features include: new Guard Break and Counterattack mechanics, the ability to customise the character’s appearance, a special anime feature with Team Minato and Kushina Uzumaki, and a new three type battle system – Ultimate, Awakening and Drive. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will be the fifth game in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series and will be a sequel to Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. The games are 3D arena fighting games, and are developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Namco Bandai Games. Revolution has been confirmed to be slightly different from previous games, and could be seen as a spin-off title. The game will include over 100 characters from the entire Naruto anime and manga series. The creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, designed one of the new characters – Mecha Naruto. The game will include lots of new features, such as the ability to perform “Combination Ultimate Jutsus”, having two characters combining their ultimate attacks into one. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution also introduces a new game mode to the series, Ninja World Tournament. Akihabara is known as otaku central due to otaku culture has influenced, shaped and changed Akihabara’s businesses and buildings. Various shops in Akihabara now feature the special Banpresto Ichiban Kuji which are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Fate series.
This special Ichiban Kuji lottery features plenty of the main protagonist Saber for fans to enjoy. Each lottery game costs 900 yen and has been featured in several Akihabara stores such as Tora no Ana, Gamers Akihabara, Volks, Kotobukiya, Asobit City, and many more.
The official website of the Kantai Collection anime adaptation has revealed more characters that will be appearing in Kantai Collection: Kan Colle. The series itself will be airing in January. during the upcoming Winter 2015 anime season.

Kantai Collection: Kan Colle is an anime adaptation of the popular online, card browser game Kantai Collection. The game launched in April last year and currently has more than 1.7 million players. The game centers around naval card battles, where naval ships are represented by “Fleet Girls”. The battles are automated for the most part, where the main meat of the game being the strategy, card collecting and grinding. The game is very popular, with a slew of merchandising being released after the game’s release; from table top games to manga, and light novels to this anime adaptation. A PlayStation Vita title is currently in production.

Media Factory began streaming the second commercial for Gugure! Kokkuri-san on Monday. Gugure! Kokkuri-san is a four-panel comedy manga written by Midori Endo. The first chapter was published in August 2011 in Square Enix’s GanGan Joker and as of March 2014 the manga has six volumes. The newly streamed commercial is narrated by the Takahiro Sakurai who plays the character Inugami. The opening song, “Welcome! Disco Kemokemoke” plays in the background.

The story follows a young girl named Kohina Ichimatsu. She lives alone and also goes to elementary school. One day, she summons Kokkuri-san, a low ranking spirit from Japanese folklore. The Kokkuri-san she summons turns out to be a handsome man with long white hair! Kokkuri-san arrives with the objective of haunting Kohina, but he becomes worried about her habit of eating only cup ramen for every meal and effectively becomes the mother of the household! Kohina’s dog spirit, Inugami, and a tanuki, Shigaraki, also accompany them on their daily adventures.
