Fear, and loathing in Las Vegas are a well known rock band who formed in 2008 in Kobe, Japan. Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas is a combination electronica and metal. The singing is comprised of twin vocals; the destructive shouts of one vocalist contrast with the Autotune of the other which gives them a presence like no other.
They’ve only been featured in a total of two different anime series theme song performances. They performed “Just Awake” for Hunter x Hunter ending theme 1 and “Chase the Light!” for Kaiji – Hakairoku Hen’s opening theme.
Hunter x Hunter Ending Theme 1:
Kaiji – Hakairoku Hen Opening Theme:
Current Gokukoku No Brynhildr Anime Opening Theme:
The question is, does Fear, and loathing in Las Vegas’ style suit the anime series Gokukoku no Brynhildr? and why the sudden Opening Theme change when there are only 3 more episodes to go?

The official website of the anime adaptation of the PlayStation Vita game Persona 4 Golden, has revealed the air date of the anime. Persona 4 The Golden Animation will begin airing from July 10. In addition, a new key visual was also released:
Persona 4 Golden is an enhanced re-release of Persona 4 for the Vita. The game featured lots of new content, including new Personas, cutscenes, scenarios, social links, a new character and an epilogue. The new character introduced in Golden is Marie. She will be voiced by Kana Hanazawa (Kuroneko from Oreimo, Mayuri Shiina in Steins;Gate) who voiced her in the game.
Persona 4 The Golden Animation will have the majority of the crew and the entire cast back to reprise their roles; Seiji Kishi, the director of Persona 4 The Animation will be chief director, with Tomohisa Taguchi, the director the second Persona 3 film taking the directing role. However, a new studio will be producing the anime. Taking over studio AIC will be A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail). The staff have stated that it will retell some events of the first anime, but will primarily focus on Golden‘s new story events and epilogue.
Here is the first promotional video for the anime:
Persona 4 first released on the PlayStation 2 in 2008, part of the Persona series in Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei franchise. The game received critical acclaim and strong sales. Since then, the game has spawned many adaptations and merchandises. To date, there are three manga adaptations, a light novel adaptation, and oddly enough a live stage production. An anime adaptation for the game, titled Persona 4: The Animation aired in late 2011 and garnered lots of attention. Persona 4 Golden, an enhanced port of the original game released last year on the PlayStation Vita and included a few new features and story elements, including a new secret ending. Persona 4 Arena also released two years ago with Arc System Works, who develop the Blazblue and Guilty Gear series. Last year Atlus has announced three new games in the Persona series: Persona 4: Dancing All Night for the Vita, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth for the Nintendo 3DS and Persona 5 for the PlayStation 3.
Here is a synopsis of the Persona 4 anime from MAL:
Persona 4 takes place in a rural town named Inaba. There have been mysterious murders occurring whenever there was fog after heavy rain. There were also rumors about a channel on television airing only at midnight called Mayonaka TV, during which it is said that one can see his/her “other half” when staring at the TV screen.
After hearing about a recent unsolved murder which occurred during the fog, the characters—Narukami, Chie, and Yosuke—discuss how each of them had attempted to watch the mysterious TV channel and witnessed the murder victim. The protagonist later realizes that during midnight when the channel is on, his body can phase into his television set as a gateway to enter another world infested with shadows.
After discovering this, they all decide to explore. When first completely entering the world, dazed and confused, Narukami meets Teddie. Mayonaka TV and the town murders seem to have a connection. The murder victims may be merely victims of Mayonaka TV. Everyone decides that they will together try to solve the mysterious murders by exploring the hidden world of Mayonaka TV.
Persona 4 The Golden Animation will air from July 10, during the Summer 2014 anime season. More information on the series, such as how much will be repeated from the first series, will release soon.
Nisekoi from studio Shaft, was one of this year’s standout shows. While the anime was visually stunning on TV, it would be interesting to see what changes they make in the forthcoming Blu-ray releases. Generally, the Blu-rays are better, since the studios have time to reproduce scenes of the anime that may have been rushed to make their schedules and deadlines, like with Non Non Biyori. Sometimes they are to uncensor the anime, like with Pupa and Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga. But as with the Wake Up Girls!release, the quality of the Nisekoi Blu-ray isn’t much better than the TV release.
So what’s wrong with the Blu-ray releases of Nisekoi? Shaft has decided to alter the backgrounds of many scenes into more generic colours and sparkles. While it is “better” for comedic situations it removes some of the great art that the studio is known for.
So lets take a look at how the Blu-ray of Nisekoi fairs up with the original TV version.

Nisekoi is a manga series that originally started off as a one shot from Naoshi Komi that released in January 2011. Komi then released the manga as a full series later on in the year, when it appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. Since 2011, 12 volumes have been released for the romantic comedy. Additionally a voiced comic has also been published and a light novel series. Viz Manga has also picked up the series late 2013 for English localisation, announcing that the chapters would be translated and released in Viz’s Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha. A anime adaptation of the manga aired from January this year, and ended in May. The anime is produced by studio Shaft (Bakemonogatari, Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica).
Here is a plot synopsis of Nisekoi from MAL:
As a child, Raku Ichijo made a secret promise with his childhood sweetheart, keeping a pendant as a memento while his love took the key. He dreams of one day meeting his past love, but years later, reality smashes his hopes when Chitoge Kirisaki accidentally knees him in the face…
Though Raku’s a normal high schooler, his family heads the notorious yakuza gang the Shuei-Gumi faction! And he’s dragged into family affairs when he’s forced into a relationship with Chitoge, the daughter of a rival gang’s boss!
All the images above are from the Nisekoi Blu-ray Volume 3, which is currently available on Amazon Japan for ¥6,764 (~ $67.94 USD). The volume includes episodes 6, 7 and 8. The 4th volume will release on June 25, the 5th on July 23rd, the 6th on August 23rd and the final 7th volume on September 24th.

Synopsis for Shingeki no Kyojin from Haruhichan.
Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans.
Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.

The series takes place in the near future, when it is possible to instantaneously measure and quantify a person’s state of mind and personality. Japanese news site Yaraon has reported that the anime Knights of Sidonia (Sidonia no Kishi) will be receiving a second season. They also reported that the anime was originally a 2 cour series, with 13 episodes airing one season and the other 13 airing two seasons over.
This is considered a rumour at the time of writing. No official confirmation or announcement has been released. While the website has a good record of reporting accurate news please take it with a grain of salt.
The official website of the anime adaptation of Knights of Sidonia had released three visuals for the first season:
Knights of Sidonia (Sidonia no Kishi) is a manga series from Tsutomu Nihei. The series debuted in April 2009 in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine. To date there has been 12 volumes released. An anime adaptation of the series was produced in April this year, and is currently still airing. The anime is produced by Polygon Pictures, in their first full TV anime production. The series is directed by Koubun Shizuno (Detective Conan, Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Bride) with Sadayuki Murai (Natsume Yuujinchou, Mouryou no Hako) handling the series composition and screenplay, with Noriyuki Asakura (Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan) composing the music.
Here is a synopsis of Knights of Sidonia from Haruhichan:
It’s been a thousand years since the Gauna, a strange alien race with no known method of communication, destroyed the solar system. A portion of humanity managed to escape using enormous “seed ships” like the Sidonia, which have allowed them to maintain the population while drifting through space. Nagate Tanikaze is a young man who has been raised deep in the bowels of the ship. When he goes into training to pilot the huge robotic weapons known as Gardes, Nagate is entrusted with piloting the legendary unit known as Tsugumori. Nagate and his fellow pilots put their lives on the line against the Gauna, in the ultimate battle for the survival of humanity!
The second season of the Knights of Sidonia anime is currently unconfirmed. We will update you if an official confirmation is made from Polygon Pictures, or at the end of the first season’s finale.
