Akagami no Shirayuki-hime OVA Promotional Video Streamed

The first promotional video for the upcoming OVA of the anime adaptation of Sorata Akiduki’s Akagami no Shirayuki-hime manga, titled Akagami no Shirayuki-hime: Nandemonai Takaramono, Kono Page, has been streamed. The new video previews the OVA’s main theme song “Ginsekai” and teases what the OVA will contain.

The OVA will be adapting the following chapters from the manga:

  • Volume 10, Chapter 41: Shirayuki to Zen, Hajimete no Joukamachi Date
  • Volume 7, Special Chapter: Raji Ouji Youshou no Migiri
  • Volume 11, Special Chapter: Hajimari no Zen & Mitsuhide & Kiki

The Akagami no Shirayuki-hime OVA will be available in a limited edition bundle of the manga’s 15th volume, releasing in Japan on January 5th next year. The anime’s second cour will also air that month.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime is a Japanese shoujo manga written by Sorata Akizuki. It was serialized in Hakusensha’s monthly shōjo manga magazine, LaLa DX but has since moved to LaLa and is published in collected volumes by Hakusensha. An anime adaptation produced by Warner Entertainment Japan and Studio Bones began airing in Japan on July 6, 2015. A second season has been announced to air in 2016.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime synopsis from Haruhichan:

Although her name means “snow white,” Shirayuki is a cheerful, red-haired girl living in the country of Tanbarun who works diligently as an apothecary at her herbal shop. Her life changes drastically when she is noticed by the silly prince of Tanbarun, Prince Raji, who then tries to force her to become his concubine. Unwilling to give up her freedom, Shirayuki cuts her long red hair and escapes into the forest, where she is rescued from Raji by Zen Wistalia, the second prince of a neighboring country, and his two aides. Hoping to repay her debt to the trio someday, Shirayuki sets her sights on pursuing a career as the court herbalist in Zen’s country, Clarines.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime depicts Shirayuki’s journey toward a new life at the royal palace of Clarines, as well as Zen’s endeavor to become a prince worthy of his title. As loyal friendships are forged and deadly enemies formed, Shirayuki and Zen slowly learn to support each other as they walk their own paths.

Big Order TV Anime Adaptation Slated for Spring 2016 – by Mirai Nikki’s Author

The wraparound jacket band on the eighth compiled volume of Sakae Esuno’s Big Order manga will be revealing on Monday that the manga is inspiring a TV anime series that will premiere in spring 2016.

The main cast and staff were also revealed, which will be returning from the OVA adaptation that was released last year. The main cast for the OVA and the upcoming TV anime includes:

Boku no Hero Academia Announcement Scheduled for November 2

This year’s 48th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has revealed in a small teaser that an important announcement about Kouhei Horikoshi’s Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) will be made on November 2nd. The announcement will be featured on an opening color page.

The 48th issue is also revealing that Hirofumi Neda will launch the Boku no Hero Academia Smash!! (My Hero Academia Smash!!) “special spinoff” manga on the Jump+ digital app and in Weekly Shonen Jump.

In conjunction with the upcoming announcement, Toho has recently registered the domain name HeroAca.com, under the name of TOHO Ad, the advertising company of the TOHO Group, on Tuesday.

Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) is an action adventure manga series written and illustrated by Kouhei Horikoshi. The series began in July 2014 under Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, where a total of 5 volumes have been compiled. The official Warner Bros. YouTube channel has revealed that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – Part IV: Diamond Is Unbreakable will be receiving an TV anime adaptation. More details will be announced in Ultra Jump and on the series site on November 19th.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – Part IV: Diamond Is Unbreakable is the fourth part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump between 1992 and 1995. The story is based in 1999, as the Arrow, manifesting latent Stand abilities, travels throughout Morioh, Japan; as high schooler Josuke Higashikata (illegitimate son of Joseph) and his friends seek out the culprits of a series of homicides.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. It was originally serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump from 1986 to 2004, before being transferred to the monthly seinen magazine Ultra Jump in 2005. The current story arc, JoJolion, started in 2011. During the Full Metal Panic! stage event at this year’s “Fantasia Bunko Big Thanksgiving 2015” even on Saturday, it was revealed that a new anime series for Full Metal Panic! is underway. Further details will be announced at a later date.

Full Metal Panic! is a series of light novels written by Shoji Gatoh and illustrated by Shiki Douji. The series follows Sousuke Sagara, a member of the covert anti-terrorist private military organization known as Mithril, tasked with protecting Kaname Chidori, a hot-headed Japanese high school girl.

Individual chapters are published on Monthly Dragon Magazine, followed by a paperback compilation released by Fujimi Shobo’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko. The novels are split between stories focusing on Sousuke’s mission as a soldier of Mithril and comedic side stories centered on his life at Jindai High School.

The series has been adapted into different media; including three animated television series: Full Metal Panic! by Gonzo in 2002, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu and Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid by Kyoto Animation in 2003 and 2005 respectively. An OVA was also released in 2006; and five different manga series.

Kuroko no Basket “It’s the Best Present” OVA Promotional Video Streamed

The official YouTube channel for the Kuroko no Basket anime franchise began streaming a promotional video on Friday for the “75.5th Quarter” OVA episode. The episode is titled Saikou no Present Desu” (It’s the Best Present) and will be included in the ninth and final DVD and Blu-ray Disc for the 3rd season of the Kuroko no Basket television anime series that is scheduled to ship on December 24.

Here’s the synopsis of the upcoming OVA:

A few weeks after the Winter Cup, the five players of the Generation of Miracles as well as Kuroko have settled back into everyday life. But an invitation from Momoi arrives, proposing that the former Teiko Junior High players gather once again and play a game. Kuroko happily accepts the unexpected invitation. But Kagami is bothered when he learns about the game, because on that day, the Seirin High team were planning a birthday party for Kuroko! However, Kagami tells Kuroko that the birthday party won’t be until the evening, which makes him glad. So on January 31st, Kuroko’s best day begins!

Kuroko no Basket, is a Japanese sports manga series written and illustrated by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. The English rendering The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays also appears in the artwork of the Japanese version. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2008 to September 2014, with the individual chapters collected into 30 tankobon volumes by Shueisha. It tells the story of a high school basketball team trying to make it to the national tournament.

By April 2014, Kuroko no Basket had 27 million copies in circulation. It is being adapted into an anime television series by Production I.G that began airing in 2012, with a third season having started in January 2015. A sequel manga by Fujimaki titled Kuroko no Basket: Extra Game began serialization in Jump Next! on December 29, 2014.

Nisekoi: Magical Patissier Kosaki-chan OVA Promotional Video Streamed

The first promotional video for the upcoming Magical Patissier Kosaki-chan OVA for Nisekoi has been revealed. The new video briefly previews the scenes from the upcoming OVA about the main characters of Naoshi Komi’s Nisekoi if Kosaki Onodera was a magical girl. It is the second adaptation of Taishi Tsutsui’s Magical Patissier Kosaki-chan spin-off manga, following the 8th episode in the anime’s second season.

The Nisekoi: Magical Patissier Kosaki-chan OVA will be bundled with the manga’s 21st volume, releasing on January 4th next year.

Magical Patissier Kosaki-chan, is a Nisekoi spin-off by Taishi Tsutsui, with Naoshi Komi getting original creator credit. The comedy features a magical girl version of Kosaki Onodera whose family runs a Japanese sweets shop, is transforming into a magical girl in this story.

Nisekoi is a manga series that originally started off as a one shot from Naoshi Komi that released in January 2011. Komi then released the manga as a full series later on in the year, when it appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. Since 2011, 12 volumes have been released for the romantic comedy. Additionally a voiced comic has also been published and a light novel series. Viz Manga has also picked up the series late 2013 for English localisation, announcing that the chapters would be translated and released in Viz’s Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha. A anime adaptation of the manga aired from January this year and ended in May. The anime is produced by studio Shaft (BakemonogatariMahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica).

During the last E3, Square Enix announced the most in demand remake of all time, Final Fantasy VII. However, from a recently released annual report, it seems that Final Fantasy VII is only the beginning of the remakes they have in store for the future. Although none of them currently known, we can only expect great things!

From the popular cooking anime Shokugeki no Souma comes this exquistie figure of the busty blond heroine Nakiri Erina. The figure is based on the reaction scene to Erina’s Eggs Benedict during the breakfast buffet challenge of Toutsuki Culinary Academy’s “Hell Training Camp” and is posed seated on a detailed throne wearing a very noble looking outfit.

Celebrate Christmas with Ship Girls from Kancolle

With Christmas approaching, the cosplay and character goods website Cospa is offering two baseball caps honoring the military-themed franchise Kantai Collection to celebrate the season. The hats have designs which honor World War II era-ships – the light cruiser Naka and the destroyer Shigure.

The outside of the caps show the actual ships, along with their dates of operation and festive holly leaves. While the insides have the ships’ anthropomorphized versions in Santa attire.

Cospa is also selling a plate featuring the Northern Princess, also dressed for the season, so KanColle fans have something appropriate to eat their Christmas cake and snacks on.

Kotobukiya’s Beautiful Dark Magician Figure Will Cast a Spell on You

This week, figure company Kotobukiya released their beautiful figure of Yu-Gi-Oh!’s Dark Magician Girl figure for preorder. Dark Magician Girl, originally a card from the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game and anime, was featured as a “Dark” Spellcaster card. Due to popularity with old and new fans, she has inspired many figures, including Amakuni’s to be released in January.

Kotobukiya’s Dark Magician Girl features an angled base with translucent hearts that serve as a stand for the figure. She features an airbrushed paint job along with her signature pose. The figure is made of pure PCV and ABS and stands a full 1/7 scale and 270 mm tall.

Himouto! Umaru-Chan Spinoff Manga Focusing on Ebina Announced

The creator of Himouto! Umaru-chan SankakuHead has announced a spinoff manga series centering Nana Ebina since she won a popularity character poll on Nico Nico Seiga. The new project titled Akita Imouto! Ebina-chan will begin in November.

Himouto! Umaru-chan is a Manga series from SankakuHead. The comedy Manga began in SHueisha’s Weekly Young Jump in March 2013. To date there are 7 volumes released. Also an anime television series adation by Doga Kobo aired in Japan from July to September and a video game has been announced for the Playstation Vita.

Umaru is a renowned beautiful 16-year-old girl in town, living with her elder brother Taihei. She acts a perfect sister with a kind heart, intelligence and popularity, who everybody admires. So who would believe how true Umaru is at home? Sleeping, gaming, watching TV, eating junk food, drinking cola… that’s almost all she does at home, leaving all the housework to her brother.

RWBY (pronounced “Ruby”) is an American anime-influenced web series from Monty Oum created for Rooster Teeth Productions. The action, adventure and science-fantasy anime’s first episode got released on the Rooster Teeth website in 18 July, 2013. To date there are 2 volumes released with the 3 volume releasing soon.

The story takes place in the world of Remnant, which is filled with supernatural forces and shadowy creatures known as the “Creatures of Grimm”.
