Masou-Gakuen-HxH-Visual

Masou Gakuen HxH (Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia) is a Sci-Fi, harem light novel series written by Masamune Huji with character illustrations done by Kurogin, and mecha designs drawn by Hisasi. The series began in February 2014 being published under Kadokawa’s Sneaker Bunko imprint with the 6th novel releasing on October 1st in Japan. A drama CD of the series was released in March, featuring Ayaka Kimura (Nao Yorihime from Yosuga no Sora VN) and Ryouko Tanaka (Yumiko Sakaki from Grisaia no Kajitsu). A manga adaptation of the series was also produced earlier this year, being serialized in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comp Ace since June.

Here is the synopsis of the series:

Hida Kizuna possesses the HHG (Heart Hybrid Gear) ability, but it is not strong enough to make him particularly important. His older sister calls him to transfer to a strategic defense school, where many of the students (many of which are large-breasted girls) use their HHG abilities to fight invaders from another world while wearing extremely skimpy pilot outfits. Kizuna’s fighting ability doesn’t measure up, but his sister has another plan– apparently having erotic experiences with Kizuna will allow the girls to replenish their energy or power-up. It looks like his new school life is going to be full of embarrassment.

Tekken 7: Nina Williams the Fatal Bride Teaser

3

Tekken 7 Nina Williams

Nina Williams is an irish, cold-blooded assassin that made her first appearance in the original Tekken game and has been in every Tekken game ever since. Nina’s fighting style consists of lethal blows, grapples, throws, and choke holds. Her and her sister, Anna Williams, were put into Cryogenic Sleep and were experimented on for 15 years, which explains why Nina still looks so young. Before the years of Cryogenic Sleep, however, she was impregnated without her consent and gave birth to Steve Fox (who appears in Tekken 4 and onward).

Williams was drugged by an underground force when she was young in order to cultivate the perfect assassin. She has a deep hatred for men ever since her defilement in Tekken 2. The only man she has ever trusted was her father, who died shortly before Tekken 2. After her father’s death Nina was controlled by Ogre. Thus, she was unable to feel any emotion.

Nina also stars in her own action game, Death by Degrees.

Previous visual:

Sailor Moon Crystal, known in Japan as Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, is a 2014 original net animation series produced in commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of the shoujo manga series Sailor Moon. Produced by Toei Animation and directed by Munehisa Sakai, the series was streamed worldwide on Niconico from July 5, 2014 to July 18, 2015, with new episodes being released twice a month. Instead of remaking the 1992–97 anime series preceding it, Toei produced Crystal as a reboot of Sailor Moon and was a more faithful adaptation of Naoko Takeuchi’s original manga, omitting much of the original material from the first series. The story focuses on Usagi Tsukino, a young girl who is granted the power to become the titular character and is joined by fellow Sailor Guardians in search of Princess Serenity and the Legendary Silver Crystal.

The first episode had an advanced screening on June 30, 2014 to celebrate Usagi’s birthday. The first limited edition Blu-ray box set was released in Japan on October 15, 2014, with the regular Blu-ray and DVD compilations set for release the following month; individual volumes are to be released monthly. In May 2014, Viz Media licensed Crystal for an English-language release in North America, and is simulcasting the series on Neon Alley and Hulu to coincide with the worldwide streaming. Crunchyroll is also simulcasting the series in a separate contract with Toei Animation. Viz also premiered the first episode as part of their “Sailor Moon Day” celebration at the Anime Expo Convention in Los Angeles.

The music for Sailor Moon Crystal is composed by Yasuharu Takanashi. The series uses two pieces of theme music: an opening theme and an ending theme. The opening theme is titled “Moon Pride”. The ending theme is “Gekko”. The opening and ending themes are performed by Momoiro Clover Z.

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Crystal synopsis from Haruhichan:

As a chosen guardian of justice, Usagi seems to have a mission to find the Illusionary Silver Crystal with the other guardians and to protect the princess.

Meanwhile, the queen of the Dark Kingdom, Queen Beryl, also sends minions to the town where Usagi lives to obtain the Illusionary Silver Crystal, which has immense power. This causes strange events to unfold…

Can Sailor Moon really find the Illusionary Silver Crystal with the other Sailor guardians, and protect the princess…?!

Nintendo Confirms Censorship in Western Release of Fire Emblem Fates

35

The Fire Emblem series has been no stranger to censorship in the West – thanks in part to its publisher, Nintendo. When Fire Emblem: Awakening was released, back in 2013, it was uncovered that a scene featuring dark mage Tharja had her posterior conveniently blocked by the main protagonist’s cape in its release outside of Japan.

Nintendo Confirms Censorship in Western Release of Fire Emblem Fates

Nintendo has confirmed with Kotaku that certain elements of the upcoming successor in the series, Fire Emblem Fates, will be subject to censorship as well. However, the Japanese publisher is taking a step away from simply hiding the naughty bits to removing the content entirely.

Firstly, Nintendo has opened up in regards to a scene involving party member Soleil which occurs when the male protagonist decides to romance said character. Soleil is notable for acting embarrassed around women to the implication that she shows affection towards them. What follows is the male protagonist spiking Soleil’s drink with a “magic potion” unbeknownst to her which, in turn, allows her to view women as men and vice-versa.

This entire plan was concocted out of the idea that if by having Soleil view each gender oppositely that she will no longer feel flustered in the presence of women. In the end, Soleil ends up falling in love with the male protagonist. The controversy that transpired out of this particular scene were its blatant acts of drugging and implications towards gay conversion, though Nintendo has been outspoken that there will no such “expression between characters” in its Western release.

Furthermore, it has been revealed by Nintendo that a minigame which has the protagonist “petting” party members to gain additional affection between one another has also been removed from the Western edition of Fire Emblem Fates. Nintendo did not provide any comment as to why this decision was made and it has, since, provoked further controversy on Twitter.

However, amidst this censorship, Nintendo will not be altering any same-sex relationships between characters in Fire Emblem Fates which will mark the first time the series will have such a feature. In his article discussing the nature in the manners in which Nintendo is censoring Fates, Kotaku’s Nathan Grayson reassures readers saying that “Fates is more Fire Emblem (in a good way).” Perhaps, even with these changes, the future for the acclaimed strategy-RPG series doesn’t look as gloomy as could be.

Fire Emblem Fates will release as two separate entities with differing stories, Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem: Conquest, for the Nintendo 3DS on February 19th in North America with the DLC expansion, Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation, due for release on March 10th.
