Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains Coming to the 3DS This May

8

It was announced at the recent Nintendo Direct that a release of Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains, the most recent Attack on Titan game for the 3DS, is coming out this May. The first teaser trailer was also released and gives us a brief look into the new gameplay and graphics of the game. The game is developed by Spike Chunsoft who published the game in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin ~Jinrui Saigo no Tsubasa CHAIN, and were looking for a publisher for western audiences. Atlus USA will be publishing the game internationally.

Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains will be releasing in European and North American regions this May on the 3DS.

The Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) series was created by Hajime Isayama. It started off as a manga in 2009 and is published in Kodansha’s monthly Bessatsu Shounen Magazine. To date there has been 14 compiled volumes of the manga. A prequel light novel adaptation started in 2011, and two spin-off manga started serialization in 2012: Shingeki no Kyojin: Before the Fall and Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou. In April 2013 the series was picked up for an anime adaptation. The anime series was produced by the newly formed Wit Studios. The series has grown in popularity since the anime’s debut, with the manga selling over 36 million copies as of April this year. Two live action film adaptations will be releasing in Japan next year. The first images for the live-action 2015 Attack on Titan film were also earlier released.

Here is a synopsis of the anime from Haruhichan:

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.

Love Live Fans Get Drenched by Angry Commuter

21

The headline of this article may sound like an incredibly bad (or incredibly good, depending on your tastes) porn video, but rest assured, it’s not that exciting. What we have instead however is news of a recent trend in China where as a result of subway cars advertising the hit anime Love Live!, fans have taken to entering the subway station and prostrating before their idols.

Above we see said fans embarrassing themselves and their families by taking part in this strange ritual. Luckily for them their faces aren’t shown in the photos.

It seems like an innocent enough (albeit extremely weeaboo) display, but apparently it was causing problems, as these kneeling nerds were getting in the way of commuters getting onto and off the trains. As a result, one brave knight decided to rescue the waifus from their worshippers and rain watery justice down upon them.

Love Live Fans China Angry Praying Water Pouring Haruhichan.com
“Nico is worst girl, get out!”

It seems like a rather harsh thing to do, but we all know that one guy who won’t shut up about waifus and memes, and will pull stunts like this with zero intention of seeming ironic. (We all know that one guy who claps his hands together and says itadakimasu~ before eating. Heck, I am that guy.) But now imagine all those one guy’s congregating in this one subway station, stinking it up for everyone else. Well, the aquatic assailant was justified in this case, some would say.

What do you think about this situation? Would you be annoyed by these rabid members of the fandom or would you be among them? Let us know in the comment’s section below! Until next time, Tomoki signing out!

Noragami is a fantasy manga series by Adachitoka that began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Shounen Magazine in January 2011’s issue. It has been collected in twelve tankōbon volumes as of November 2014. An anime television series adaptation by Bones aired in Japan between January 5 and March 23, 2014.

Noragami synopsis from Haruhichan:

Yato is a minor deity who lacks even a single shrine. In order to build his own shrine and gain recognition as a god, he scrawls his cell number on the wall of a downtown bathroom telling people he will help them in exchange for a 5-yen offering, becoming a self-styled “delivery god.” Hiyori, the daughter of a respectable family, is almost killed in a traffic accident, but is rescued by Yato. This causes her to become a “hanyou,” a person who can exit her body in soul form. She chases Yato down, and they begin to work together to help Yato be recognized. Yato also finds a boy named Yukine who becomes a Regalia, a “sacred treasure” that can be used by a god as a weapon to fight. The three of them battle phantoms who bring harm to humans as Yato’s dark hidden history is gradually revealed.

Littlewitch Romanesque: Editio Regia Is Now on Sale on Steam

0

Those interested in playing visual novels with JRPG elements need look no further as the latest to hit Steam will be a title called Littlewitch Romanesque: Editio Regia. With its adorable (yet quite varied) cast of characters and beautiful water color-esque art style, this is certainly one to look out for.

The basic system requirements are fairly accommodating and the game will not require more than 3GB of storage space (full details on the official page). Not only has the game launched with a 10% discount, it will also include free additional routes with purchase – that’s extra game time for an already 30+ hour campaign (with 20 endings mind you)! Read more about the story here:

Welcome to Stella Mundo, a magical world still recovering from the devastation of the Mage War that ended the Age of Towers.
Domino, the youngest wizard ever to earn the rank of Archmage, has just begun his study of the ancient Dark Tower, a treasure trove of lost magical knowledge.

But there’s a catch.

As its price for allowing him access to the tower, the corrupt Council of Archmagi has assigned Domino two gifted but troublesome students – Aria, the daughter of a noble family, and Kaya, an orphan with an unusual heritage – and given him just three years to complete their training, a process that normally takes decades.

The game has launched on Steam with a special 10% discount so we advise getting it soon! If you’re interested in the game or have thoughts (or end up buying the game), let us know in the comments section below!

The official full opening video for the new visual novel Angel Beats! -1st Beat-, slated for May 29th, has been uploaded on YouTube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-nCErVn15I

The first volume of the visual novel Angel Beats! -1st Beat- will cover three character arcs and reportedly reaches up to the 10th episode of the anime. The three said routes will be Iwasawa’s, Matsushita’s and Yui’s. In the visual novel, you will play as Yuzuru Otonashi, the main character from the anime. The same voice actors and voice actresses as in the anime will be featured.

A few CG screenshots of the game were also revealed in December:

Synopsis of Angel Beats! from Haruhichan:

Otonashi awakens only to learn he is dead. A rifle-toting girl named Yuri explains that they are in the afterlife, and Otonashi realizes the only thing he can remember about himself is his name. Yuri tells him that she leads the Shinda Sekai Sensen (Afterlife Battlefront) and wages war against a girl named Tenshi. Unable to believe Yuri’s claims that Tenshi is evil, Otonashi attempts to speak with her, but the encounter doesn’t go as he intended.

Otonashi decides to join the SSS and battle Tenshi, but he finds himself oddly drawn to her. While trying to regain his memories and understand Tenshi, he gradually unravels the mysteries of the afterlife.

Nagate Tanikaze is a young man who has been raised deep in the bowels of the ship. When he goes into training to pilot the huge robotic weapons known as Gardes, Nagate is entrusted with piloting the legendary unit known as Tsugumori.
