The December issue of Media Factory’s Comic Alive magazine will be announcing on Monday the cast and staff of the upcoming television anime adaptation of Takumi Hiiragiboshi’s Absolute Duo light novel series.

Absolute Duo is a Japanese light novel series by Takumi Hiiragiboshi with illustrations by Yuu Asaba. Media Factory has published six volumes since 2012 under their MF Bunko J imprint. A manga adaptation with art by Shinichiro Nariie started serialization in Media Factory’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Alive from April 27, 2013, and has been collected in a single tankobon volume. A second spin-off four-panel comedy manga adaptation titled Absolute Duo Tea Party with art by Tooru Oiwaka will also be serialized in Monthly Comic Alive magazine with the December 2014 issue to be sold on October 27, 2014. An anime television series adaptation by 8-Bit was announced at Media Factory’s 2014 Summer School Festival event.

One year after the SAO incident, Kirito is approached by Seijiro Kikuoka from Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Department “VR Division” with a rather peculiar request.

That was an investigation on the “Death Gun” incident that occurred in the gun and steel filled VRMMO called Gun Gale Online (GGO). “Players who are shot by a mysterious avatar with a jet black gun lose their lives even in the real world…” Failing to turn down Kikuoka’s bizarre request, Kirito logs in to GGO even though he is not completely convinced that the virtual world could physically affect the real world.

Kirito wanders in an unfamiliar world in order to gain any clues about the “Death Gun.” Then, a female sniper named Sinon who owns a gigantic “Hecate II” rifle extends Kirito a helping hand. With Sinon’s help, Kirito decides to enter the “Bullet of Bullets,” a large tournament to choose the most powerful gunner within the realm of GGO, in hopes to become the target of the “Death Gun” and make direct contact with the mysterious avatar.

Naruto Shippuuden Movie 7 “the Last” Character and Plot Teased

In this year’s 48th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, some major details have been teased for Naruto Shippuuden Movie 7 “The Last”, releasing in Japan on December 6th. The film’s plot synopsis and a new mysterious character have been teased in the magazine.

This new mysterious character is designed by Naruto creator himself Masashi Kishimoto. The character is being described as a “handsome young man with a well-proportioned face” and has ties to the manga itself. It appears that the character has a Byakugan and the symbol on his back resembles the moon.

The issue also revealed the synopsis of the anime’s film:

During the situation with the moon crashing to earth, a situation occurs in Konoha where Hanabi is kidnapped! Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru, Sai, and Hinata are challenged to recapture Hanabi from the unknown mystery man!

The movie’s Ending theme song was earlier revealed. The ED will be Hoshi no Utsuwa performed by Sukima Switch. The two member band itself will have roles in the film. The CD cover for the single was also revlead and features Naruto and Hinata together going on a mission.

Naruto Shippuuden Movie 7 “The Last” is the 10th overall movie in the Naruto franchise and is part of a new greater project in celebration of the 15th anniversary of Naruto. The project itself is the Naruto Shin Jidai Kaimaku Project (Naruto’s New Era Opening Project) and includes a Naruto Exhibition that will open in Japan early next year. Masashi Kishimoto, the manga’s creator will have a larger role in the film’s production, being credited with the original story, character designs and chief story supervisor. The film itself will be set after the events of the manga, which was announced to be ending on November 10th.

Shirobako OVAs to Be Bundled in Blu-Ray Volumes 3 and 7

The official website of the anime, Shirobako, announced that the third Blu-ray & DVD volume of the series will include an OVA titled “Exodus!” which will be released on February 25, 2015. The seventh volume will also feature a second OVA which is set to be released on June 24, 2015.

Shirobako is an anime television series produced by P.A. Works and directed by Tsutomu Mizushima. It premiered in Japan on October 9, 2014. A manga adaptation began serialization in ASCII Media Works’s Dengeki Daioh magazine in September 2014.

Video: New Nintendo Direct Reveals over 50 Features for Super Smash Bros. For Wii U

Nintendo recently had a very long, informative and enticing a Nintendo Direct for the upcoming release of the highly anticipated Nintendo Wii U game, Super Smash Bros. For Wii U. Featuring the over energetic announcer, the video shares over 50 new features with the new Wii U version that weren’t present in Super Smash Bros. For 3DS. There are lots and lots of new features in the game that are series firsts, including the ability to have up to 8 player battles with larger stages to suit the player count, 2 plane stages, more stages, more options and much much more! The game will also feature the return of many beloved game modes that were absent in the 3DS version, such as the Special Smash mode and the Stage Builder. Tsukimonogatari Anime Key Visual Released

The official website for the Tsukimonogatari anime adaptation of Nisio Isin and Vofan’s 13th light novel has released the first new key visual for the upcoming anime, scheduled to air on December 31st.

Tsukimonogatari will have a total of 4 episodes and to be aired on December 31, 2014 starting at 22:00 (10:00 pm). All 4 episodes will be shown in a row on TV stations Tokyo MX, BS11, and streamed on Niconico Douga.

The Monogatari series is a collection of light novels, created by Nisio Isin and illustrated by Vofan. The novels started in late 2005 and published under Kodansha’s Box imprint, where there has been a total of 16 volumes to date. The 17th volume will release on April 3rd, and the 18th and final volume releasing later this year. The light novels first received an anime adaptation titled Bakemonogatari, after the first volume, in 2009 from the animation studio Shaft (Nisekoi, Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica). Since then a total of 12 novels has been animated by the same studio. The most recent adaptation, Hanamonogatari, aired on August 16th. In addition, a drama CD, a PlayStation Portable game and many figures and figurines have been made based on the series. The final book of the Monogatari series, Zokuowarimonogatari, released on September 17th.

A brand new visual has been released for the Naruto Shippuuden Movie 7 “The Last”, which will be releasing in Japan on December 6th. The visual showcases Hinata and Naruto in their new adult designs on a mission together. This will be the premise of the film, focusing on the two participating on a mission together. No further information about the mission itself has been released.

First Key Visual for Nisekoi Second Season Released

The official Nisekoi anime website has released the first new key visual for the recently announced second season. The second season of the anime was announced in the 14th volume of Komi’s manga, which was bundled with a OVA. Another OVA was announced to be releasing with the Nisekoi‘s 16th volume that will release in February next year. The upcoming OVA will adapt chapters 65 and 71 from the manga.

Nisekoi is a manga series that originally started off as a one shot from Naoshi Komi that released in January 2011. Komi then released the manga as a full series later on in the year, when it appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. Since 2011, 12 volumes have been released for the romantic comedy. Additionally a voiced comic has also been published and a light novel series. Viz Manga has also picked up the series late 2013 for English localisation, announcing that the chapters would be translated and released in Viz’s Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha. A anime adaptation of the manga aired from January this year and ended in May. The anime is produced by studio Shaft (Bakemonogatari, Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica).

Here’s a synopsis from Haruhichan:

“Raku Ichijou is an average high school student. He also happens to be the sole heir to the head of a Yakuza Family called the Shuei-gumi. Ten years ago, Raku made a promise… a secret promise with a girl he met. They promised one another that they will “get married when they reunite.” Since then, Raku never let go of the pendant the girl gave him.

Then one day, a beautiful girl named Chitoge Kirisaki transfers into Raku’s class. Their chemistry was more than off. There was not a moment where they were not fighting. But by a weird turn of events, Raku and Chitoge agree to become fake lovers. Although his heart is really interested in his classmate Kosaki Onodera, Raku must continue pretending to be Chitoge’s boyfriend.”

K-On! VIASO Cards Announced in Celebration of 5th Anniversary

With this year celebrating the 5th Anniversary of Kakifly’s popular music / Slice of Life anime adaptation K-ON!, the series have teamed up with Mitsubishi UFJ NICOS to bring you two new VIASO cards which are powered by Master Card.

The first cards design features all five Sakuragaoka High School students of the Ho-kago Tea Time (HTT), Tsumugi Kotobuki, Azusa Nakano, Yui Hirasawa, Mio Akiyama and Ritsu Tainaka inside their club room posing for a picture.

Parasyte Voice Actors Get Infected by Migi

The official website for the popular Sci-Fi Horror anime Parasyte has posted photos of the cast with Migi, the Parasite which lives in Shinichi Izumi’s hand.

The cast also have some messages for the fans as they were “infected” by the parasite known as Migi.

Aya Hirano who voices Migi said: With the broadcast date, we were really nervous. I think the Parasyte anime is unique and I tried my best voicing the parasitic alien and invited everyone to watch.

Nobunaga Shimazaki who voices Shinichi Izumi said: I am very grateful to play the role of Shinichi and I thank you all very much.

Kiyono Yasuno who voices Yuuko Tachikawa spoke about glasses, since her character wears them. She also hopes you all look forward to the anime.

Kana Hanazawa who voices Shinichi’s best friend, Satomi Murano, spoke about Shinichi’s “inner conflict” and how to support him. She also hopes you all continue to watch the series every week!

Rena Maeda, who voices Akiho Suzuki, holds Migi with a confused face. She explained her character is original and said that everyone should look forward to the anime.

Nobunaga Shimazaki who voices Shinichi Izumi was also featured in the November issue of Animedia.

Parasyte synopsis from Haruhichan:

Based on Iwaaki Hitoshi’s science-fiction horror manga by the same name.

The 17-year-old Izumi Shinichi lives with his mother and father in a quiet neighborhood in Tokyo. One night, worm-like aliens called Parasytes invade Earth, taking over the brains of human hosts by entering through their ears or noses. One Parasyte attempts to crawl into Shinichi’s ear while he sleeps, but fails since he is wearing headphones, and enters his body by burrowing into his arm instead, taking over his right hand and is named Migi.

Because Shinichi was able to prevent Migi from traveling further up into his brain, both beings retain their separate intellect and personality. As the duo encounter other Parasytes, they capitalize on their strange situation and gradually form a strong bond, working together to survive. This gives them an edge in battling other Parasytes, who frequently attack the pair upon realization that Shinichi’s human brain is still intact. Shinichi feels compelled to fight other Parasytes, who devour humans as food, while enlisting Migi’s help.

Kuroko no Basket Sequel Manga Announced for December

The recent issue of Shueisha’s Jump Next magazine has announced that a sequel to Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s Kuroko no Basuke manga will be releasing in the magazine’s upcoming issue on December 29th.

The original run for Kuroko’s Basketball ended last month in the 40th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on September 1st. The manga ended after 276 chapters after its 6 year run. The series already had an anime adaptation with two seasons and a third airing next year.

Kuroko no Basket (Kuroko’s Basketball) is a Japanese sports manga series written and illustrated by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. The rendering The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays also appears in the artwork of the Japanese version. It has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since December 2008; the individual chapters are being published in tankōbon volumes by Shueisha, with the first released on April 3, 2009, and the 28th volume released as of July 2014. Shueisha will publish the 29th compiled volume in October. As of April, the series had more than 27 million copies in circulation.

Kuroko no Basket (Kuroko’s Basketball) tells the story of a high school basketball team trying to make it to the national tournament. The manga has been adapted into two anime series by Production I.G which aired between 2012 and 2014. A third season has also been green-lit.

Kuroko no Basket synopsis from Haruhichan:

The Teiko Middle School Basketball Team. The class that produced three perfect seasons in a row, with five once-in-a generation players, called “The Generation of Miracles”. There was another player who all of them respected… A legendary 6th player. An up-and-coming power player, Taiga Kagami, is just back from America. When he comes to Seirin High School, he meets the super-ordinary boy, Tetsuya Kuroko. Kagami is shocked to find that Kuroko isn’t good at basketball, in fact, he’s bad! And he’s so plain that he’s impossible to see. But Kuroko’s plainness lets him pass the ball around without the other team noticing him, and he’s none other than the sixth member of the Miracle Generation. Kuroko makes a pact with Kagami to defeat the other members of the Miracle Generation, who have all played basketball at other schools. A battle of light (Kagami) and shadow (Kuroko) begins!

The Kuroko’s Basketball sequel manga will begin serialization in the upcoming issue of Jump Next magazine, releasing on December 29th.

The first promotional video for the upcoming second season of Julietta Suzuki’s Kamisama Hajimemashita has been uploaded. The air date is still unknown.

Kamisama Hajimemashita is a Japanese manga series by Julietta Suzuki and serialized by Hakusensha in the shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume. The first season is based off of the manga and began airing October 2, 2012 to December 25, 2012 during the fall 2012 anime season. The series also received an OVA which aired August 20, 2013.

Kamisama Hajimemashita synopsis from Haruhichan:

Nanami Momozono is alone and homeless after her dad skips town to evade his gambling debts and the debt collectors kick her out of her apartment. So when a man she’s just saved from a dog offers her his home, she jumps at the opportunity. But it turns out that his place is a shrine, and Nanami has unwittingly taken over his job as a local deity!Nanami has all kinda of new responsibilities she doesn’t understand, dangers she’s unaware of, and a cranky ex-familiar who’s… actually pretty hot. What’s a new-fledged godling to do?

Video: First Assassination Classroom PV Reveals Cast & Air Date

The official website of the Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu) TV anime has released its first promotional video. The new video introduces the anime’s main characters as well as their respective cast members. The video has also revealed that the Assassination Classroom anime will be airing on January 9th 2015 at 25:20 (effectively the 10th at 1:20am) during the Winter 2015 anime season.

Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch) will voice the teacher Koro-sensei

The students of class 3-E have a mission: kill their teacher before graduation. He has already destroyed the moon, and has promised to destroy the Earth if he can not be killed within a year. But how can this class of misfits kill a tentacled monster, capable of reaching Mach 20 speed, who may be the best teacher any of them have ever had?
