Yukina Himeragi Reveals Some Plot for the Upcoming Strike the Blood OVA

The OVA’s first part will be released via Blu-ray format priced at 5,900 ($47.5) yen and DVD format priced 4,900 ($39.48) yen. The second part of the OVA meanwhile will be released on December 23, 2015. It has also been announced that Yuka Iguchi (Toaru Majutsu no Index‘s Index Librorum Prohibitorum) will sing the OVA’s opening song, while Kanon Wakeshima will perform the ending song.

Strike the Blood, also known in short form as SutoBura, is a Japanese light novel series by Gakuto Mikumo with illustrations by Manyako. A manga adaptation began serialization in June 2012 in ASCII Media Works’s Dengeki Daioh. A 24-episode television anime adaptation by Silver Link and Connect aired between October 4, 2013 and March 28, 2014 in Japan.

Dagashi Kashi Anime Slated for January and Character Designs + Staff Revealed

The official website of the upcoming anime adaptation of Kotoyama’s Dagashi Kashi manga has revealed that the TV anime will be airing from January next year. In addition, the first set of character designs and staff members have also been revealed.

The first character designs for the anime have been revealed, which are being designed by Kanetoshi Kamimoto (Burst Angel, Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai.) and include:

Dagashi Kashi is written and illustrated by Kotoyama. It began serialization in Shounen Sunday magazine in June 2014. The manga is currently ongoing, with three compiled volumes published.

Here is the series synopsis from Haruhichan:

Shikada Kokonotsu’s father owns a rural sweets shop, and his plan is for Kokonotsu to take it over one day. However, Kokonotsu wants to be a manga author instead! One day in Summer, the cute but weird girl Shidare Hotaru, from the famous sweets company, comes to pay a visit. Apparently, Kokonotsu’s father is famous and she wants him to join her family’s company. However, he will only agree if she can convince Kokonotsu to take over the family business!

An anime adaptation of Dagashi Kashi will air on TBS in January 2016 during the Winter 2015/2016. More details about the anime will be unveiled in upcoming issues of Weekly Shonen Sunday.

Shinmai Maou no Testament is a Japanese light novel series by Tetsuto Uesu with illustrations by Nekosuke Ookuma. Seven volumes have been published by Kadokawa Shoten since 2012 under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint. The story focuses on the Kitauji High School Music Club, which is steadily improving thanks to the newly appointed adviser’s strict instruction.

Hibike! Euphonium begins when Kumiko Oumae, a girl who was in the brass band club in junior high school, visits her high school’s brass band club as a first year. The Heavy Object anime adaptation will begin its broadcast this October during the Fall/Autumn 2015 anime season. The series will air on Tokyo MX, MBS, TV Aichi, BS11, and AT-X.

The main cast of the series were revealed and consists of:

  • Eri Suzuki (Sanae Higashihongan in Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!?) will voice the lead heroine Milinda Brantini

Heavy Object is a Japanese light novel series, written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Ryo Nagi. ASCII Media Works have published 8 volumes since 2009 under their Dengeki Bunko label. A manga adaptation with art by Shinsuke Inue was serialized in ASCII Media Works’s seinen manga magazines Dengeki Black Maoh and Dengeki Maoh from 2009 to 2011. It was collected in a single tankobon volume. A second manga adaptation, with art by Sakae Saito and titled Heavy ObjectS, was also serialized in Dengeki Maoh from 2011 to 2013. It was collected in three tankobon volumes.

An anime television series adaptation was announced at the Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival event on October 5, 2014. A new manga adaptation was also announced.

Anime Adaptation of New Game! Announced – Shirobako but with Video Games

The December issue of Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Charat magazine will be announcing on Wednesday that a television anime adaptation of Shoutarou Tokunou’s New Game! manga has been green-lit. The series itself features cute girls working in a video game company, in a similar fashion to Shirobako‘s depiction of working at an anime company.

New Game! is a 4koma manga written and illustrated by Shoutarou Tokunou. The series began in 2013 in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine, where a total of 2 volumes have been published.

Follow Aoba Suzukaze, a fresh highschool graduate that is easily mistaken as a middle school student, as she joins the game company that produced her favorite game as a 3D artist and her cute antics in this story told through 4-koma.

Bakuon!! TV Anime Slated for 2016

The official website of the upcoming anime adaptation of Mimana Orimoto’s Bakuon!! manga series has launched, revealing that it will be a TV anime scheduled for a 2016 broadcast.

The anime adaptation of Bakuon!! was revealed on the 6th volume of the manga with a wraparound jacket.

Bakuon!! is a motorcycle, slice of life manga written and illustrated by Mimana Orimoto. The series began in early 2011 being serialized in Akita Shoten’s Young Champion Retsu magazine. To date a total of 6 compiled volumes have been produced, with a 7th volume releasing on March 18, 2016. The series itself features motorcycles from real companies. An anime adaptation has been announced and slated for 2016.

Bakuon!! synopsis from MAL:

The story revolves around high school girls who discover the appeal of motorcycles. Sakura Hane is a high school student who looks a little bit like an airhead. On the way to her all-female high school one day, she is worn-out climbing a hilly road with a bicycle, but she sees a girl named Onsa Amano who is riding a motorcycle. Sakura immediately becomes interested in motorcycles, and she and Onsa join the motorcycle club at the school. Then, Sakura sets out to get her license.

Little Busters!, Tomoyo after Visual Novels to Get English Releases

VisualArt has announced that their KEY brand titles Little Busters! and Tomoyo After ~It’s a Wonderful Life~ will be getting official English releases. The company has announced that they will be taking from fan translations and adapting them, thus removing the fan translations from the servers hosting them.

Tomoyo After〜It’s a Wonderful Life〜 is a spinoff of the earlier Clannad visual novel, which inspired both anime and manga. Tomoyo After〜It’s a Wonderful Life〜 focuses on the popular tomboy character Tomoyo. The game itself inspired manga by Yukiko Sumiyoshi. The game was ported to such systems as the PlayStation 3.

In 2007 the release of the PC software Little Busters! inspired a television anime that aired in Japan in 2012, followed by the Little Busters! Refrain television anime in 2013 and the Little Busters! EX original video anime project in 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the two television anime, and Sentai Filmworks released both in North America. The original game received several ports, including one for the PS Vita.

Hibike! Euphonium Season 2 and Film Announced

The official website of anime adaptation of Ayano Takeda’s music genre novel series Sound! Euphonium (Hibike! Euphonium) has announced that the TV anime series will be receiving a compilation movie and a sequel TV series.

Hibike! Euphonium Gets Season 2 and Film

The compilation film will be titled Hibike! Euphonium the Movie: Welcome to the Kitauji High School Concert Band. However, little information is currently available, although it is known that the film will recap the events of the 2015 TV series while the sequel series will take place afterwards.

In addition to this, it was recently revealed that the 7th volume of the Blu-ray release will contain an OVA, titled Kakedasu Monaka (Running Monaka). The preview video for the OVA was also released:

Non Non Biyori Website Reveals Halloween Illustration

The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Atto’s Non Non Biyori manga series has revealed a new Halloween illustration of Hotaru Ichijo illustrated by series character designer Mai Otsuka. The new illustration features Hotaru wearing a pumpkin hat and balancing a jack-o-lantern on her lap while displaying a charmful smile.

The production cast includes:

Non Non Biyori is a comedy slice of life manga written and illustrated by Atto. The manga began in 2009 and was published in Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine. To date, there a total of 7 volumes that have been produced, with the 8th volume scheduled to release on March 23rd next year. An anime adaptation of the series was made during the Fall 2013 anime season. The adaptation was produced by Silver Link (Strike the Blood, Kokoro Connect) with Shinya Kawatsura (Kokoro Connect) directing. To date the manga has sold over 1 million copies in Japan. A key visual has been released for Non Non Biyori Repeat, along with a homepage background update on the official website.

The Heavy Object anime adaptation will begin its broadcast this October during the Fall/Autumn 2015 anime season. The series will air on Tokyo MX, MBS, TV Aichi, BS11, and AT-X.

The main cast of the series were revealed and consists of:

  • Eri Suzuki (Sanae Higashihongan in Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!?) will voice the lead heroine Milinda Brantini
  • Natsuki Hanae (Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul) voices as Quenser Barbotage
  • Kaito Ishikawa  (Tsumugu Kihara from Nagi no Asukara) will voice Heivia Winchell
  • Shizuka Itou (Akeno Himejima from High School DxD) voicing as Froleytia Capistranoy

Heavy Object is a Japanese light novel series, written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Ryo Nagi. ASCII Media Works have published 8 volumes since 2009 under their Dengeki Bunko label. A manga adaptation with art by Shinsuke Inue was serialized in ASCII Media Works’s seinen manga magazines Dengeki Black Maoh and Dengeki Maoh from 2009 to 2011. It was collected in a single tankobon volume. A second manga adaptation, with art by Sakae Saito and titled Heavy ObjectS, was also serialized in Dengeki Maoh from 2011 to 2013. It was collected in three tankobon volumes.

An anime television series adaptation was announced at the Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival event on October 5, 2014. A new manga adaptation was also announced.

Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?, also known in short form as GochiUsa, is a Japanese 4-panel comedy manga series by Koi, serialized in Houbunsha’s seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Max since March 2011. It has been collected in three tankobon volumes as of March 2014. An anime television series adaptation by White Fox aired in Japan between April and June 2014. The second season is currently airing.

Synopsis of GochiUsa‘s first season from Haruhichan:

Cocoa arrives at the cafe Rabbit House one day, excited for rabbits. She actually all but lives in that cafe. She meets lots of different girls there, including a tiny and cool girl named Chino, a tough and soldier-esque girl named Rize, a spacey and quintessentially Japanese girl named Chiyo, and the ordinary but dignified Sharo.

Boku dake ga Inai Machi TV Anime CM Reveals Key Visual and Character Designer

The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Kei Sanbe’s Boku dake ga Inai Machi manga series began streaming a new commercial for the series on Friday. The new commercial unveils the first key visual, and reveals that Keigo Sasaki (Nanatsu no Taizai, Ao no Exorcist) is designing the characters for the anime.

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi is an ongoing Japanese fantasy suspense seinen manga series written and illustrated by Kei Sanbe and serialized on Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine since 2012. Volume 1 was released on January 26, 2013 and 5 volumes have been published so far. It’s published in French by Ki-oon. An anime adaptation has been announced and is scheduled to air in January 2016.

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi synopsis from MAL:

Struggling manga author Satoru Fujinuma is beset by his fear to express himself. However, he has a supernatural ability of being forced to prevent deaths and catastrophes by being sent back in time before the incident occurred, repeating time until the accident is prevented. One day, he gets involved in an accident that has him framed as a murderer. Desperate to save the victim, he sends himself back in time only to find himself as a grade-schooler one month before fellow classmate Kayo Hinadzuki went missing.
