Here is a synopsis of the series from MAL:

In a hidden school surrounded by mountains, young ladies of good families are taught everything a high class lady needs to know. They are also completely cut off from the outside world, keeping them sheltered and innocent. However, a problem has come up recently– more and more graduates are failing to cope with the modern world after graduation. To deal with this problem, they’ve decided to kidnap a male commoner student, and enroll him as a student. They hope that this will be a gentle way to introduce the girls to the outside world.

Kagurazaka Kimito is chosen for this dubious honor, mostly because he seems utterly average. However, the school leaders also seem to have concluded he’s a homosexual with a muscle fetish. When Kimito hears that the alternative may be castration (to protect the girls’ purity), he eagerly plays along with this misconception. Now he’ll just have to survive the attention of many high class young ladies that are completely out of touch with the world!

Eriri Spencer Sawamura Is Getting Dressed in New Figure

3

A new figure from the series Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata was recently put up for pre-order from the good smiling people over at Good Smile Company. This time around it is none other than the twin-tailed osananajimi Eriri Spencer Sawamura!

The new 1/7 scale figure will be about 125 mm (almost 5 inches) tall and depicts Eriri getting dressed, with blouse and shirt unbuttoned while pulling up her stockings on a fuzzy carpet base. Exceptional detail is put into the stockings in this fig, complete with toe seams and stretching, as well as the small extras that come with the fig. From the shoes to the vest and even the cardboard box, from the prototype it seems that incredible detail was put into this fig to make it look great from both near and afar. Another nice detail is that you can display her with and without her green tracksuit jacket, depending on your mood or the weather.

The figure is going to retail at around 10,000 yen (about $83 USD) and will release in April of 2016; however, pre-orders will close on October 7th in Japan, so you have a little over a month to decide if you are going to be buying her from one of many direct sellers where she is already up for order.

Attack on Titan: Junior High synopsis from Haruhichan:

The story follows Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman entering Titan Jr. High, a school where humans and Titans study in the same area in coexistence. Because of a “traumatic” event, where the Colossal Titan ate his lunch back in middle school, Eren hates the Titans, and is constantly trying to find a way to rid the earth of their kind. Because of this, he has a hard time making friends, much to Mikasa’s worry.

The Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) series was created by Hajime Isayama. It started off as a manga in 2009 and is published in Kodansha’s monthly Bessatsu Shounen Magazine. To date there has been 14 compiled volumes of the manga. A prequel light novel adaptation started in 2011, and two spin-off manga started serialization in 2012: Shingeki no Kyojin: Before the Fall and Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou. In April 2013 the series was picked up for an anime adaptation. The anime series was produced by the newly formed Wit Studios. The series has grown in popularity since the anime’s debut, with the manga selling over 36 million copies as of April this year. Two live action film adaptations will be releasing in Japan next year. The first images for the live-action 2015 Attack on Titan film were also earlier released.

Here is a synopsis of the anime from Haruhichan:

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.

Attack on Titan Manga Has 3 More Years worth of Story Left

7

In a recent interview with Antenna Japan Kawakubo Shintaro, the editor of Hajime Isayama’s Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), has revealed that the manga will not be slowing down anytime soon. Since the manga started in 2009 and it has been 6 years, the comment is consistent with Isayama’s recent claim that the story is approximately “60% finished,” which is still approximately 3 more years left until the manga’s completion.

Another piece of information from the interview is that Shintaro wanted Isayama to draw the manga to appeal to the greater audience. The two argued about this topic for an entire year as Isayama wanted to create an impactful manga.

Voice Actor Scott Freeman Found Guilty of Possession of Child Pornography

12

It’s a truly regrettable time for English voice over artists. It pains me to bring this news, however, it must be heard.

Scoff Freeman (England in Heltalia: Axis Powers, Kagari in Psycho-Pass), a well renowned voice actor was arrested for possession of child pornography in April 5, 2014. After accepting a plea bargain, which included a no jury trial, on July 30, 2015 Freeman pled guilty to eight counts of possession of child pornography and was sentenced to three years in a Texas state prison, with his existing previous sentence.

Scott Freeman Serving 3 Years In State Prison

Child pornography, as defined by Texas Penal Code, states, “the person knowingly or intentionally possess visual material that visually depicts a child younger than 18 years of age at the time the image of the child was made who is engaging in sexual conduct.” This crime is considered to be a third degree felony, and is taken extremely seriously by law enforcement.

Funimation Entertainment swiftly replaced Freeman as the voice of Issei for the High School DxD BorN broadcast dub in May.

Funimation’s comment on Freeman’s conviction:

In May of 2015, FUNimation became aware of the legal matter involving Scoff Freeman, at which time we suspended our relationship with Scott. In the wake of recent news, we have permanently ended the relationship. Any other questions should be directed to Scoff Freeman directly.
