Noragami is a fantasy manga series by Adachitoka that began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Shounen Magazine in January 2011’s issue. It has been collected in twelve tankōbon volumes as of November 2014. An anime television series adaptation by Bones aired in Japan between January 5 and March 23, 2014.

Noragami synopsis from Haruhichan:

Yato is a minor deity who lacks even a single shrine. In order to build his own shrine and gain recognition as a god, he scrawls his cell number on the wall of a downtown bathroom telling people he will help them in exchange for a 5-yen offering, becoming a self-styled “delivery god.” Hiyori, the daughter of a respectable family, is almost killed in a traffic accident, but is rescued by Yato. This causes her to become a “hanyou,” a person who can exit her body in soul form. She chases Yato down, and they begin to work together to help Yato be recognized. Yato also finds a boy named Yukine who becomes a Regalia, a “sacred treasure” that can be used by a god as a weapon to fight. The three of them battle phantoms who bring harm to humans as Yato’s dark hidden history is gradually revealed.

“Boruto” Gets US Release Date and New Subbed Trailer

4

This article contains spoilers.

This week, Viz Anime announced a release date for Boruto: Naruto the Movie in the United States. The movie is to be played in Japanese with English subtitles and is currently set to air in 80 cities across the United States, while its predecessor The Last: Naruto The Movie was only played in eight different cinemas across the United States.

Following the story where The Last and the Naruto manga left off with Hinata Hyuga and Naruto falling in love and getting married, the movie introduces the two’s hot-headed son that is left in need of paternal guidance while his father protects the Hidden Leaf Village as Hokage. Sasuke, Naruto’s former teammate, rival, and closest friend is now Boruto’s teacher along with his and Sakura’s own daughter, Sadara. While a major plot point of the original Naruto series was Naruto’s lack of biological and general paternal figures, he is displayed at doing his best to be the father Boruto deserves and the one he always wanted growing up.

The original Naruto manga’s creator, Kishimoto Masashi, executive produced the movie alongside Ukyou Kodachi and Hiroyuki Yamashita. Due to the previous films success, Boruto will be playing in major cities such as New York City, San Fransisco, and Seattle with tickets on sale now!

In addition to this, Boruto -Naruto The Movie- has just released in Japanese theatres on August 7th and two new commercials have been streamed:

The film was first announced at the premiere screening of the latest Naruto film, The Last -Naruto the Movie-, where Masashi Kishimoto was present and answered questions. Kishimoto will be chief production supervisor for the upcoming 2015 film. He stated:

Even though the manga ended, I haven’t taken a break. I am currently thinking about a story between Boruto and Sarada. Sasuke and Sakura will be in it, too. I am also thinking about Boruto’s lethal technique.

Kishimoto will continue to work on the franchise until at least Summer 2015 before moving on to other works. Junko Takeuchi, the voice actress of Naruto Uzumaki stated:

“I can’t possibly guess what’s it about. But I’ll enjoy it.

The film will feature a new cast of characters that were revealed in the final 700th chapter of the original manga. Boruto is the son of Hinata Hyuga and the 7th Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. They also have a daughter named Himawari. Sarada Uchiha is Sasuke and “Sakura’s” daughter.

Himouto! Umaru-chan anime visual

Himouto! Umaru-chan is a Japanese manga series by Sankaku Head. It began serialization in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump from 2013. It has been collected in six tankobon volumes. An alternative version was serialized for two chapters in Shueisha’s monthly magazine Miracle Jump in 2012. An anime television series adaptation by Doga Kobo began airing in Japan from July 8, 2015. The “himouto” in the title is a pormanteau of himono (干物?, “dried fish”) and imouto (妹?, “little sister”).

Himouto! Umaru-chan synopsis from Haruhichan:

Umaru is a renowned beautiful 16-year-old girl in town, living with her elder brother Taihei. She acts a perfect sister with a kind heart, intelligence and popularity, who everybody admires. So who would believe how true Umaru is at home? Sleeping, gaming, watching TV, eating junk food, drinking cola… that’s almost all she does at home, leaving all the housework to her brother.

Her camouflage is so perfect that when one of her classmates visits her home by surprise and witnesses “true Umaru,” she pretends as if she is Umaru’s younger sister. Taihei is always swayed by Umaru’s gap between ostensible face and spoiled life, but he cannot hate his comical and somehow lovable cute little sister!

Girls Und Panzer Movie promotional video:

The first promotional video for the film released in July last year:

The most recent visual was revealed last March and the tagline reads “Take it back”:

Girls und Panzer is a 2012 Japanese anime television series created by Actas. It depicts a competition between girls’ high schools practicing tank warfare as a sport. The series was directed by Tsutomu Mizushima and produced by Kiyoshi Sugiyama. Takaaki Suzuki, who has earlier acted as a military history advisor for Strike Witches and Upotte!!, was involved in the production of the anime. The series initially aired in Japan between October and December 2012, with two additional episodes airing in March 2013 and an original video animation released in July 2014. Five manga series and a light novel adaptation have been published by Media Factory. An animated film had been announced for release in 2014, however was pushed back to Q2 2015.

Here is a synopsis of the series from Haruhichan:

You may have heard of kung fu, but the girls at Oarai High School practice gun-fu—really, really BIG 75mm gun-fu, in fact. It’s called Sensha-do, and it’s the martial art of operating armored tanks! They take it seriously too, and since winning the national Sensha-do championship is such a huge deal at Oarai, they sometimes go to extreme ends in order to get the best students from Panzer class to sign up. Which is how Miho Nishizumi, who HATES operating tanks, gets drafted to join doomsday-driven driver Mako, even-triggered gunner Hana, highly receptive radio operator Saori and combustible tank-fangirl and loader Yukari as the incomparable Anko Team. They may not be on the half-track to fame and fortune, and maybe a few of them would rather shop for tank tops than become tops in tanks, but once their focus is locked and loaded, they’re absolutely driven.
