God Eater is an Action Role Playing, Hack n Slash game developed by Shift and published by Bandai Namco Games. The games are set in a dystopian future Japan, where large monsters called Aragami have destroyed most of mankind. In the games you play as a God Eater, a small group of soldiers whose sole purpose is to defeat the Aragami using weapons made from the Aragami’s cells. A total of 3 games have been released since its start in 2010. The first game in the series released in Japan in February 2010 for the PlayStation Portable with an updated release titled Gods Eater Burst later in the year, where it also released internationally. A direct sequel to the game was published last year in Japan on the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita. The game has been announced to be localised, but no date has been given yet. An anime adaptation by ufotable was announced earlier this year, the released date of the anime is still unknown.

Sadly, the event came and went without any official mentions of a third season or any other plans. What did come after the event was the confusion and hoaxes afterwards due to this image:

Eiichiro Oda doesn’t make many mistakes when drawing compared to most manga artists, but when he does his fans make sure to point them out and let everyone know. This week’s latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine featured a double color page spread of the Straw Hat Pirates as bikers and just riding on the road like so:

Second Attack on Titan Movie Trailer Features the Female Titan

0

A new teaser trailer has been streamed for the second Attack on Titan movie, Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 2: Jiyuu no Tsubasa / Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom, the second compilation film based on the anime series. The second movie will cover the last 12 episodes and will debut on June 27, 2015. The films will not just be the original series edited into a movie length feature, as there will be some changes. The movie will feature new audio with a 5.1 surround sound remaster, and a complete redubbing with the same cast members.

The first movie titled Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 1: Guren No Yumiya / Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow released last November in Japan, here’s the trailer:

A Eren and Levi B2 poster was offered with advanced tickets purchases for the second Attack on Titan movie Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom (Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 2: Jiyuu no Tsubasa). Advanced tickets went on sale November 29th.

In addition to this, the first visual for the second season was released last month and it was also revealed that the second season of Attack on Titan will be airing sometime in 2016. More information about the upcoming anime will be revealed at the second compilation film on June 27.

The Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) series was created by Hajime Isayama. It started off as a manga in 2009 and is published in Kodansha’s monthly Bessatsu Shounen Magazine. To date there has been 14 compiled volumes of the manga. A prequel light novel adaptation started in 2011, and two spin-off manga started serialization in 2012: Shingeki no Kyojin: Before the Fall and Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou. In April 2013 the series was picked up for an anime adaptation. The anime series was produced by the newly formed Wit Studios. The series has grown in popularity since the anime’s debut, with the manga selling over 36 million copies as of April this year. Two live action film adaptations will be releasing in Japan next year. The first images for the live-action 2015 Attack on Titan film were also earlier released.

Here is a synopsis of the anime from Haruhichan:

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.

RWBY Creator Monty Oum Passes Away haruhichan.com Ruby Creator Monty Oum Passes Away

Monty Oum was the creator, director, writer, animator and a voice actor of RWBY. He worked for Rooster Teeth Productions, where he originally started animating the popular Machinima series Red vs. Blue in its eighth season.

He had also worked on several individual fan projects, such as Dead Fantasy and Haloid, although he had stated that his main goal was to create an original series, which came to pass with RWBY. He voiced Lie Ren.

You can help support Monty Oum’s family by checking out the fundraiser at this link.

Rooster Teeth’s The Know, reported on the news:

If you haven’t seen RBWY, you should definitely check out the first episode on Rooster Teeth’s YouTube channel below:

RWBY (pronounced “Ruby”) is an American animated web series created by Monty Oum for Rooster Teeth Productions. The show is set in the fictional world of Remnant, which is filled with supernatural forces. The series focuses on Team RWBY, which consists of Ruby Rose (Lindsay Jones), Weiss Schnee (Kara Eberle), Blake Belladonna (Arryn Zech) and Yang Xiao Long (Barbara Dunkelman). The second volume premiered on July 4, 2014, at RTX and to the general public on July 24, 2014.

Following its announcement, the show became a viral hit, resulting in many cosplays and fan adaptations. One of the fan adaptations was a video game, titled RWBY: Grim Eclipse; the game was later officially adopted by Rooster Teeth, and is currently under development. The show has received positive critical reception, particularly towards the soundtrack, and anime-influenced animation.

Monty Oum passed away on February 1st, 2015, leaving the future of RWBY uncertain for the time being.

4

This past week Mexican apparel company Heredia Clothing have launched a line of sneakers with designs inspired by none other than the king of all shonen anime; Dragonball Z. When one thinks of Mexican shoe designers, they’d imagine that they’d be knockoffs, but they are in fact entirely licensed! Check out some of the designs in the promotional video below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8lDg4LNfaA

Three designs have been released so far – one based on Goku, one on Vegeta and one on Trunks. All three look awesome, but the Goku one is sure to be most popular! A pair will cost you over 9,000 400 pesos which translates to roughly $27. Not bad at all. They are only available in Mexico for the time being but let’s hope the popularity abroad encourages retailers to sell them internationally! (And hopefully for the same price too.
