The first commercial for Studio Trigger’s (Kill la Kill, Ninja Slayer) upcoming original Kiznaiver TV anime has been revealed. The new video briefly outlines the main staff of the anime and shows its leading tagline: “Youthful group drama about escaping common sense. We are connected through wounds.” The video also reveals that Yuuki Hayashi (Haikyuu!!, Death Parade) will compose the series’ music. Further information about the anime will be revealed at a later date.

In addition to this, the official website for the anime has also revealed the first set of character designs for the main cast.

While the voice cast for the characters have yet to be revealed, new character designs were revealed. The main cast includes:

Katsuhira Akata
- The story’s protagonist. His sense of pain and his own feelings are dulled. His moods barely fluctuate, and he pays little attention to other people.
Noriko Sonosaki
- A mysterious and beautiful girl who experienced kizuna (connection) with Katsuhira and the others, and assigns them missions. She is even more emotionless than Katsuhira, and feels no human kindness.
Hajime Tenga
- A muscular idiot who tends not to look before he leaps. While he presents a rude front, he possesses the potential for leadership.

Tsuguto Yoshida
- A handsome and self-satisfied honor student who is always surrounded by girls. He is a selfish and calculating man with an underhanded nature, and is cold to other men.
Honoka Maki
- A girl who exudes a calm, grown-up air, and who tends not to group with people. She tends to say mean things, glare menacingly, and is generally unsociable.
Chidori Takashiro
- Katsuhira’s friend, and the class representative-type who always sees to everyone’s needs (or is nosy, if viewed negatively). Does she hold complex feelings for Katsuhira?
Niko Niiyama
- A mysterious yet spontaneous girl who says she can see fairies. Her personality is clear not just in her attitude but also in her fashion.
Yoshiharu Hisomu
- A handsome man with a distinct face that anyone can recognize, but he is surrounded by many mysteries. His multiple piercings and his bandaged look are extremely distinctive.

Here is the anime’s synopsis:

Set in the fictional Japanese city of Sugomori City, one day Sonosaki tells her classmate Katsuhira: “You have been selected to be a Kiznaiver.” The Kizuna System, which allows Katsuhira to share his wounds, connects him to the classmates whose lives and personalities completely differ from his.

The Kizuna System is an incomplete system for the implementation of world peace that connects people through wounds. All those who are connected to this system are called Kiznaivers. When one Kiznaiver is wounded, the system divides and transmits the wound among the other Kiznaivers.

Sugomori City is built on reclaimed land. But as the years go by, the city’s population is decreasing. The story is set in this town where Katsuhira and the others live.

In an interview in the magazine, scriptwriter Okada stated that the keyword for the series is “kizuna” (connection). The title itself is a play on “kizuna” and “naive.” Okada noted that she wrote the title before the story outline.

Studio Trigger is currently producing Kiznaiver, a brand new original TV anime. Further information about the anime will be revealed at a later date.

Kill Me Baby Voice Actress Ai Takabe Rearrested for Cocaine Possession

On November 4th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police rearrested 27-year-old Ai Takabe for cocaine use in Tokyo. She already went down for cocaine possession less than a month ago, on October 15th, however, a urine test showed that this time not only did she have it on her person, but she had it inside of her system. However, just like last time, it’s unsure as to why the police were investigating her at the time and found the cocaine on her.

On top of her agency, Oscar Promotion cancelling their contract with her after the first arrest, and at least Japanese: Amazon Video, Nico Nico Douga and Bandai Channel stopped selling three shows she has voiced for: Aoi Hana, Hourou Musuko, and Kill Me Baby, now Fuji TV has decided to postpone the broadcast of its upcoming TV drama Ouoku she appeared in until she receives her sentencing after her court case. All of her appearances have been deleted as well from TV Asahi’s ongoing drama Samurai Sensei.

Although in the West, there are multiple celebrities that have been caught multiple times on similar charges, as well as much worse, and gotten away with it, it seems as though Japan are much less forgiving socially on crime. Ai Takabe is going to have an extremely difficult time finding work again after all of this, unless she receives an extremely good hand from fate.

Shinmai Maou no Testament is a Japanese light novel series by Tetsuto Uesu with illustrations by Nekosuke Ookuma. Seven volumes have been published by Kadokawa Shoten since 2012 under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint. SHAFT Adds More Classic Characters to the Madogatari Visual

Earlier this year Japanese animation studio, SHAFT, revealed plans for the upcoming Madogatari exhibit to celebrate the studio’s 40th anniversary this year. A website was launched which is currently hosting an scroll-through gallery that originally featured characters only from the Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica and the Monogatari series but it has recently been updated with more characters.

Joining the new visual on the website are characters from SHAFT’s Negima!?, Mekakucity Actors and Juuni Senshi Bakuretsu Eto Ranger.

The “Madogatari” exhibit will open on November 27 in Tokyo and run for almost a week before moving to Osaka on December 22 and then Sapporo on February 2.

Shaft, Inc. is a Japanese animation studio founded on September 1, 1975 by Hiroshi Wakao. Love Live!’s New Single Sells 69,633, Ranks 3rd in Oricon

μ’s latest single released on October 28 titled “Love Live! School Idol Festival Collaboration Single HEART to HEART” sold 69,633 copies in its debut week and ranked #3 on Oricon’s weekly singles chart for October 26 to November 1st week.

The track is a collaboration between Love Live! School Idol Festival, the smartphone game, and the single’s title track “HEART to HEART,” which debuted as a playable song on October 15. The single also contains another song by the name of “Arashi no Naka no Koi dakara” (Because It’s a Love in the Middle of a Storm), as well as instrumental versions for both tracks.

The nine members of the idol group μ’s performed the songs. Nishioka Kazuya composed and arranged “HEART to HEART,” while Sakai Yoichi composed “Arashi no Naka no Koi dakara.” Hata Aki wrote the lyrics for both tracks.

Bushiroad released its Love Live! School Idol Festival smartphone game in Japan in April 2013. Bushiroad and KLab America released an English language version worldwide in May 2014. The rhythm game has more than just playing the songs, but also collectable cards that give you specialized skills and points, as well as an excessive amount of stories for both the main cast and side characters. As of September 6, the game had 12 million users in Japan. As of June 6, they now have more than 15 million players worldwide.

The Love Live! franchise is a phenomenon that inspired its own anime adaptation as well as a recent film. The franchise also offers manga, CDs, books, card games, radio performances, and live events.

During the recent GungHo Festival 2015 event, Japanese developer and publisher GungHo Online Entertainment have announced with Acquire that their Divine Gate smartphone game will be adapted into a TV anime this upcoming January. The anime’s official website also launched and has revealed the first visual, cast, staff, character designs and promotional video.

Divine Gate is a free to play mobile RPG developed by Acquire and published by GungHo Online Entertainment for iOS and Android devices. The game first launched in September 2003 and has over 4 Million downloads to date. The game itself has had many crossover promotions with various anime, including Steins;Gate, Fairy Tail, and Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works. In the game players choose their units and maneuver around dungeons via panels. Players will battle monsters and bosses also via a panel system.

Here is the synopsis of the series from MAL:

When the Divine Gate opened, the living world, the heavens, and the underworld became connected, ushering an era of chaos where desires and conflict intersect. To restore order, the World Council is formed. As peace is restored, the Divine Gate becomes an urban legend.

Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm Key Visual and Cast Revealed

The official website of the Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm (Four Rhythm Across the Blue) visual novel has announced that it will be receiving a TV anime adaptation and has revealed that the series will air from January 2016, as well as revealing the main cast, staff and first visual.

Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm (Four Rhythm Across the Blue), abbreviated as Aokana, is an Eroge visual novel that released in 2014. The game was developed and published by Sprite for PC on November 28 last year with a PlayStation Vita release coming in 2016. The visual novel won 1st place at the 2014 Moe Game Awards and also won the User’s Choice Award at the event.

Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm, officially abbreviated as Aokana and translated as Four Rhythm Across the Blue, is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Sprite and released for Windows on November 28, 2014. Terraformars Revenge TV Anime Slated for April 2016

This year’s 50th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine will be revealing on Thursday that the second season of Terraformars, titled Terraformars Revenge, will be produced by LIDENFILMS and TYO Animations. New staff members will be involved with the production, while cast members from the first season will reprise their roles from the first season. The series is expected to broadcast in April 2016.

Sword Art Online Movie Takes Place after Mother’s Rosario Arc

The December issue of Kadokawa’s Dengeki G’s Comic magazine revealed on Friday that the upcoming Sword Art Online anime movie will be taking place after the events of the anime adaptation’s Mother’s Rosario arc.

The upcoming anime film based on Reki Kawahara’s Sword Art Online light novel series will have an original story, not adapting of Kawahara’s any previous work. It will be set after the Mother’s Rosario arc, which was the third and final arc to be animated in Sword Art Online II. The arc itself was featured in the light novel’s 7th volume. The first arc in Sword Art Online II was the Phantom Bullet Arc, which was featured in volumes 5-6, and the second arc being the Calibur arc, a side story in the series’ 8th Volume.

The Director of first two seasons, Tomohiko Ito (Silver Spoon, Seikimatsu Occult Gakui), will return to direct the film alongside Anime Character Designer Shingo Adachi (Working!!, Galilei Donna). Reki Kawahara will be writing the movie’s new original story.

The First Seven Minutes of RWBY’s Japanese Dub Previewed

RWBY is scheduled for a for December 9th release with soundtrack CD, original case art, booklet, illustration card and episodes 1-10 at 8,000 ($65) yen plus tax for the limited edition, 5,800 ($47) yen for standard Blu-ray and 4,800 ($39) yen for standard DVD. Plans include a limited preview screening with a special edition offered at six theaters on November 14th.

To help promote the Japanese Blu-ray release of RWBY, Warner Bros. Japan began streaming the first seven minutes of the Japanese dub of RWBY on Friday.

RWBY (pronounced “Ruby“) is an American anime-influenced web series created by Monty Oum for Rooster Teeth Productions. The show is set in the fictional world of Remnant, which is filled with supernatural forces. The series focuses on Team RWBY, which consists of Ruby Rose (Lindsay Jones), Weiss Schnee (Kara Eberle), Blake Belladonna (Arryn Zech) and Yang Xiao Long (Barbara Dunkelman). The first episode was released on the Rooster Teeth website on July 18, 2013, following an exclusive screening at RTX. The second volume premiered on July 4, 2014, at RTX and to the general public on July 24, 2014.

Following its announcement, the show became a viral hit, resulting in many cosplays and fan adaptations. One of these adaptations, a video game titled RWBY: Grimm Eclipse, was later officially adopted by Rooster Teeth, and is currently under development.

On February 1, 2015, Monty Oum died as the result of a coma that was caused by an allergic reaction during a medical procedure. This left the future of the series uncertain for a brief period of time until voice actor Gray Haddock announced that the series will continue, and that Volume 3 will premiere in 2015 as planned.

In the sixth episode of Dragon Ball and the sixth episode of the Emperor Pilaf Saga, Bulma was seen wearing a bunny costume and Bandai’s MegaHobby has launched preorders for the Bulma Bunny Girl version figure from the Dragon Ball Gals figure series which perfectly recreates that scene.

She stands at 19 cms tall and can be seen wearing a black headband with black rabbit ears, a white shirt collar with a red bowtie, a black leotard with a white cotton tail, a pair of black tights, a pair of red high heels with ankle-straps, and a pair of white shirtcuffs. She’ll be shipping in March 2016 for a total of 9,504 yen ($77.2).

Strike the Blood OVA Bonus Clear Posters Previewed

The two-part Strike the Blood: Valkyria no Oukoku-hen OVA based on Gakuto Mikumo’s popular light novel series Strike the Blood will be released on November 25th and the second part on December 23rd. Bonuses for buying these at shops, including Animate, Gamers, Toranoana, Sofmap, TSUTAYA, HMV and Tower Records is a pair of interlocking clear posters, which the series site has now previewed.

In other news, Japanese website Amiami have updated their website with a hug pillow of Yukina Himeragi from Gakuto Mikumo’s Strike the Blood anime series. The pillow cover will sell for 10,800 yen ($88.65), tax included.

The OVA’s first part will be released via Blu-ray format priced at 5,900 ($47.5) yen and DVD format priced 4,900 ($39.48) yen. The second part of the OVA meanwhile will be released on December 23, 2015. It has also been announced that Yuka Iguchi (Toaru Majutsu no Index‘s Index Librorum Prohibitorum) will sing the OVA’s opening song, while Kanon Wakeshima will perform the ending song.

A brand new visual of the TV anime adaptation of Saki Nakagawa’s Attack on Titan: Junior High(Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou) parody manga has been featured in the December 2015 issue of the Japanese anime magazine NyanType. In addition to this, another visual has been featured in the September issue of Animedia as a poster. The new visual features Eren, Levi and Mikasa in their new chibi-like state. This issue of the magazine can be purchased here.

The manga itself is a parody of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) where it follows the main characters of the series as if they were attending a school, Titan Jr. High. The anime will be a TV series began its broadcast on MBS from October, in the Fall/Autumn 2015 anime season.

The story follows Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman entering Titan Jr. High, a school where humans and Titans study in the same area in coexistence. Because of a “traumatic” event, where the Colossal Titan ate his lunch back in middle school, Eren hates the Titans, and is constantly trying to find a way to rid the earth of their kind. Because of this, he has a hard time making friends, much to Mikasa’s worry.

In addition to this, the first visual for the second season was released this January and it was also revealed that the second season of Attack on Titan will be airing sometime in 2016.

The Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) series was created by Hajime Isayama. It started off as a manga in 2009 and is published in Kodansha’s monthly Bessatsu Shounen Magazine. To date there has been 14 compiled volumes of the manga. A prequel light novel adaptation started in 2011, and two spin-off manga started serialization in 2012: Shingeki no Kyojin: Before the Fall and Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou. In April 2013 the series was picked up for an anime adaptation. The anime series was produced by the newly formed Wit Studios. The series has grown in popularity since the anime’s debut, with the manga selling over 36 million copies as of April this year. Two live action film adaptations will be releasing in Japan next year. The first images for the live-action 2015 Attack on Titan film were also earlier released.

Here is a synopsis of the anime from Haruhichan:

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry (A Chivalry of the Failed Knight/A Tale of Worst One) is an school, action light novel series written by Riku Misora and illustrated by Won. The “school sword action” story revolves around Magic Knights, modern magic-users who fight with weapons converted from their souls.
