Tsutomu Nihei Manga Blame! Receives Anime Movie Adaptation

2

The wraparound jacket of the 15th and final volume of Tsutomu Nihei’s Sidonia no Kishi manga has announced that another of Tsutomu Nihei’s works, Blame!, will receive an anime movie adaptation. Nihei also made revealed the news on his Twitter account on Thursday, adding that POLYGON PICTURES will animate the project.

Tsutomu Nihei’s Blame! manga was produced and shown within Sidonia no Kishi: Daikyuu Wakusei Seneki. Nihei produced the manga before Sidonia no Kishi, which ran from 1998 till 2003 for a total of 10 volumes. It also received an anime adaptation in the form of 6 web specials in 2003 from Group TAC (Igano Kabamaru , Tantei Gakuen Q).

Blame! synopsis from MAL:

Killy is a man of few words. He wanders, seemingly endlessly, through a lonely, gargantuan labyrinth of concrete and steel, fighting off cyborgs and other futuristic nightmares, searching only for something called Net Terminal Genes. And he has a very powerful gun, which he uses without hesitation whenever anything resembling danger rears its ugly head.

Who is this quiet, violent, determined man and what are these Genes he seeks? The small communities he finds tucked into the crevices of this towering, dystopic ruin hardly give him leads on his treasure, driving him to find larger enclaves of civilization where people can reveal more about the world he lives in and the quarry he seeks.

Blame!, pronounced “blam”, is a ten-volume 1998 cyberpunk manga by Tsutomu Nihei published by Kodansha. A six part original net animation was produced in 2003, with a seventh episode included on the DVD release.

Super Sonico Is Here to Teach You the Fundamentals of Nitro+ Blasterz

1

Fighting games are notoriously overwhelming for newcomers with numerous tutorials being both on online and integrated into the games themselves, including Skullgirls and the Killer Instinct reboot for Xbox One. Super Sonico – the mascot for visual novel developer Nitro+ and one of the playable characters – hopes to alleviate some of that weight on your shoulders for the upcoming release of Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel.

The first video, released officially by publisher Marvelous, demonstrated common mechanics such as movement/dashing, grabbing, your basic light and heavy attacks, as well as combo strings, Lethal Blazes which act as super attacks, and an Infinite Blast which can cancel the opponent’s attacks.

https://youtu.be/o_oBV-vPynk

The second video, however, shows a more intermediate form of movement such as a super jump, air-dashing, recovery, guarding, a grab escape, as well as counter dashes and assists.

You will have a chance to play as numerous Nitroplus-associated characters – including Super Sonico, Ein (Phantom of Inferno), and Saya (Saya no Uta) – when Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel launches on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on December 10th in Japan and sometime in 2016 for North America.

The police are now investigating if the delivery company worker was being paid to give the magazines to these scantalation groups, and also investigating if there are more groups of the sort doing these same acts. It begs the question though, why is this elderly delivery company worker being arrested, despite not understanding the consequences of his decision? Sure, it’s against policy give magazines to the public before its official release, but, does the old man deserve to be arrested for helping out pirates, despite not knowing what the people he was giving the magazines to were going to do with them?

A television anime adaptation produced by Wit Studio and Production I.G aired in Japan on MBS between April and September 2013 and a second season is confirmed to be released in 2016. Stella Glow 3DS Game’s North American Trailer Streamed

0

Atlas USA began streaming a full trailer for the North American release of its Stella Glow Nintendo 3DS game to accompany its release on the 17th on Tuesday.

Stella Glow is a strategy role-playing game by imageepoch for the 3DS. It was originally going to be self-published but, SEGA picked up publishing duties. The game was announced in Fall 2014, set for a winter release. It wasn’t heard of again until March 2015.

In March 2015, it was revealed that the game was being now published by SEGA. Imageepoch revealed the game was pretty much done by its release announcement. However, the game had difficulty with getting the game published and distributed in stores. Eventually, they got SEGA to publish it. On March 31, Atlus was revealed to be the Western publisher.

Stella Glow synopsis from Amazon:

Stella Glow is strategy RPG for the Nintendo 3DS system developed by Image epoch (Luminous Arc franchise). The game centers around Alto and his childhood friend Lisette as they try to stop Hilda the Witch of Destruction, and features unique “Song Magic.” The game will contain English voices, but with the 20+ songs are in their original Japanese, performed by some of Japan’s most beloved voice actresses. As most reluctant heroes do, Stella Glow-protagonist Alto starts as a country boy in a small town. One day, he hears a song coming from the forest (which is odd, since song has been absent on the planet for thousands of years), where he discovers the lone Hilda. But after the chance encounter, Hilda reveals she’s the Witch of Destruction, determined to destroy the world with her Harbingers. As Hilda is about to destroy Alto’s hometown, he and Lisette are rescued by the Royal Knights and whisked back safely to the kingdom. Alto joins the 9th Regiment for the sole purpose of gathering the other Witches to stop Hilda.

Rumor: Blame! Theatrical Anime Film Potentially in the Works

0

If this image isn’t Photoshopped, then the Japanese publication of the final volume of Tsutomu Nihei’s sci-fi manga, Knights of Sidonia features a wrap-around banner announcing the creation of a theatrical anime film adaptation of Blame, an earlier science fiction manga also made by Nihei.

Blame! Theatrical Anime Film Potentially in the Works

Blame!, is a ten-volume 1998 cyberpunk manga by Tsutomu Nihei published by Kodansha. A six part original net animation was produced in 2003, with a seventh episode included on the DVD release.

Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri (Gate: The Self-Defense Forces Fight Like This in Another Land) is a Japanese light novel series written by Takumi Yanai and originally illustrated by Daisuke Izuka. AlphaPolis published five volumes and three side-story collections from April 2010 to April 2014. AlphaPolis began publishing an expanded edition of the main series with illustrations by Kuroshishi in December 2012. A manga adaptation illustrated by Satoru Sao began in July 2011. An anime television series has been announced.

Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri synopsis from Haruhichan:

In August of 20XX, a portal to a parallel world, known as the “Gate,” suddenly appeared in Ginza, Tokyo. Monsters and troops poured out of the portal, turning the shopping district into a bloody inferno.

The Japan Ground-Self Defence Force immediately took action and pushed the fantasy creatures back to the “Gate.” To facilitate negotiations and prepare for future fights, the JGSDF dispatched the Third Reconnaissance Team to the “Special Region” at the other side of the Gate.

Youji Itami, a JSDF officer as well as a 33-year-old otaku, was appointed as the leader of the Team. Amid attacks from enemy troops the team visited a variety of places and learnt a lot about the local culture and geography.

Thanks to their efforts in humanitarian relief, although with some difficulties they were gradually able to reach out to the locals. They even had a cute elf, a sorceress and a demigoddess in their circle of new friends. On the other hand, the major powers outside the Gate such as the United States,China and Russia were extremely interested in the abundant resources available in the Special Region. They began to exert diplomatic pressure over Japan.

A suddenly appearing portal to an unknown world—to the major powers it may be no more than a mere asset for toppling the international order. But to our protagonists it is an invaluable opportunity to broaden knowledge, friendship, and ultimately their perspective towards the world.
